Very well located with lots of night markets and food choices within walking distance. Do bring your own toiletries though as the hotel’s provision of these were lacking. Great value for the price overall.

Walking distance to night bazzare, very friendly staff, resonable services and swimming pool that is often quiet. Old Hotel but clean and well maintained.

Old room, old air conditioner.. We had to wake up at 2:00 a.m. to change rooms in the middle of the night because the air conditioner was broken and the employees were only men who said that changing rooms had to be changed later. Then we asked if they would like us to open the window. We stayed on the 16th floor for a while and another employee came to look. The air conditioner said it was slowly getting colder, so I told him to try opening the window, it was colder outside than 2 a.m. than changing the room for us. It was a room that should have been checked out and couldn't be cleaned in time. Just going in and sweeping the sheets didn't spread. My boyfriend said it was about 3 a.m.. Seriously, if you don't take a break, next time it's not worth the price you paid, you won't be able to watch the TV..

Very good location however the wifi is not very good

It's clean, the staff are friendly, and they're always ready to greet you even at late hours, which is great. The breakfast menu is plentiful, the location is great, and it's a hotel you'll want to stay at again and again.

It was also easy to get around as it was just a short walk from the night market. The location is great. There are convenience stores and restaurants within a short walk. The laundry is nearby and it's cheap so it was very helpful. The room was old, but it was well kept. The staff were also kind. (There is no photo.) I would like to stay here again when I go to Chiang Mai. The photo is of the sunrise taken from our room.

Old hotel on an old street Night Bazaar starting point Breakfast is eggs, bread, fruit and vegetables. No more luxury to look forward to

Stayed in Chiang Mai as a family of 3 (adults). I booked two Superior Plus rooms with two single beds and stayed there for two nights. The Royal Lanna Hotel existed 30 years ago when I first visited Chiang Mai. It's a high-rise hotel and has always stood out, so I've always wanted to stay there someday, but this was my first time staying there. Although the entrance and interior are quite dilapidated, it reminds us of the old days when it must have been luxurious and magnificent. The two rooms we stayed in were on the 8th floor, and one room had a view of Doi Suthep Mountain in the west of the city. The other room is located on the opposite side of the hallway, with a view to the east of the city. Although it is a high-rise hotel, the 8th floor is on a lower floor, so you cannot see the Bin River. The room was large and the marble floor was perfect, but it was very old and the lighting was dark, giving the impression that it lacked a bit of warmth. The air conditioner is new and you can spend your time comfortably. However, I was concerned that water was leaking from part of the ceiling in the room I stayed in. Although we traveled by rental car, there was a fully equipped parking lot, and there was no need for procedures such as parking tickets, and you could enter and exit the car at any time. The hotel is in a convenient location to go anywhere, such as 1 minute walk from the night bazaar and 5 minutes from Anusan Market, which was the most important point. The breakfast was also delicious and had a wide variety of items. Great location with cheap accommodation rates. And a delicious breakfast. It was a trip where I did a lot of sightseeing in Chiang Mai and just slept at night... The aging of the room mentioned above didn't really bother me. I would definitely like to use it again.
