The Lansdowne Guest House

The BnB was clean and well located. The bed was comfy. However, they do feel a little short staffed and breakfast service was slower than preferred.

Fantastic B&B a very short walk from the centre of Bourton-on-the-water. Good sized room and a fantastic breakfast with many options. Hosts very attentive and pleasant.

We were greeted by a very friendly lady and taken to our room. The room (12) was up two flights of quite steep stairs (lucky we were fit enough to walk up & down them, I’m not sure this was mentioned in info about here) . We had everything needed in our room. The only slight *******, which I’m sure wouldn’t be an issue for most were that the room was small. It was a bit of a tight fit between the bedpost and the dressing table, especially when getting up in the night! The other issue was that it gets very hot in the room and the light shines in all night from the landing and being dairy intolerant there was no milk or biscuits available in the room suitable. Breakfast was however well catered for our intolerances. Lovely stay

The manager and staff make this stay a really wonderful experience. We turned up at 7PM in the evening only to find out we booked the wrong dates. The Corrie and Casie came to the rescue and came to the guesthouse to turn a room around for us - I mean at 7PM on a Sunday! Wow. We were then upgraded as a result of the fact that the only room left was a larger room than we had booked - without a charge. So kind. Room 8 is very spacious and really well appointed room. Breakfast was sublime - and very generous. Such great value for money!! Corrie was always so professional and helpful.

Lovely hotel and good location. Room was very clean and breakfast excellent. Love that they have refillable shower gel bottles and shampoo! The only issue we had is that you could hear the guests above us, someone was having a drunken chat on the phone around 11pm which lasted a good hour so we didnt get to sleep till after midnight on our first night there. We did let the owners know of this issue and they apologised. I suppose you can expect thin walls in an old building.

My wife and I had a delightful three-night stay here at the end of March 2024, and we were thoroughly charmed. The room was super clean, featuring a comfy bed and an excellent shower. Breakfast was a treat with a variety of cooked and continental options that started our mornings on a high note. The staff's friendliness made us feel right at home. Its location, just a 5-minute walk from the center of Bourton-on-the-Water, provided easy access to the town’s beauty and its range of dining options suitable for all tastes and budgets. We wholeheartedly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Cotswolds and we will be returning when we next want to visit the area.
