As far as hotels in downtown Djibouti are concerned, this one is already the cheapest. It's clean and the service is good. Daily water here is desalinated, which is a limitation of this country. If I had to choose again, I would choose this hotel.
The staff are friendly and all is good .. except the room was full of Cockroaches all over the room and the bathroom they have to take it seriously and find a solution as customers paying money the will look for a good service and clean room to stay in not wake up to find some cockroaches on the bed and inside their clothes in the closet this ia not acceptable.

Because there is no ordinary room, I booked a sea view suite, which is 20 dollars more than the average room. But it doesn't feel worth it. The room is bigger, but I can't see the sea at all. I don't have a common room with a balcony to see the sea. The breakfast is very simple, only bread, omelettes, a little fruit, fruit quality is not good. There is only one one-way switch for the washing water in the room, which means that the water temperature cannot be adjusted, the water temperature is not hot, and the hot water bath cannot be taken. The pool is nice and many people swim. Close to the sea, but not to the sea, here is close to the sewage outlet, the sea is particularly dirty. Room network can be. There is no hot water in the room, you need to find the front desk, many can't be matched, can't use, we only have 6 hot water bottles in 8 rooms, only 2 can be used. Service is good, more welcoming, the room is clean.
I had a good stay at Red Sea Hotel, the room was spacious and air conditioned and air conditioned, the team was aware and even exchanged money for me. Unique bad points: access to the hotel is through a land road; and the internet signal is very weak
First the positives: - staff were friendly and helpful - rooms are large, light and comfortable - bathrooms are good - odd numbered rooms on the 4th floor have sea views - pretty good breakfast But: If this was opened in 2016 it has a well worn look. It is supposed to be and I quote ‘100% non-smoking’ except for the men sitting in the foyer just outside the lift smoking like chimneys and sending the smell up the stairs and lift well - yuck!! The area outside the lift on level 4 seemed to be a storage area for cleaning equipment and a broken shower door and the dirty dishes from room service on the side table which were there when we arrived were still there when we left. This is a Muslim run Hotel so no alcohol available and nowhere nearby to buy it. For just one night it is a reasonable option but there are better.
hospitality, professionalism, high quality of services in general with a particular thanks to the staff such as Said and Haweya at the pub café and to Ali, manager of catering and more, who is always attentive and devoted to giving the best for customers and always attentive to the needs of the customer customer. Extended thanks also to the reception staff who are many but truly active and attentive towards all customers
It's in a good location, clean, and the rooms are spacious and easy to use.
Wifi speed is fine.
All the staff, including the bellmen, are friendly.
There are two security guards sitting in front of the hotel at night.
The coffee shop on the first floor also serves delicious coffee, although it's a little pricey.
(I didn't have a chance to have breakfast at the restaurant.)
The only drawback is that there are days when hot water comes out of the shower and days when it doesn't.
Even when there is hot water, it's very lukewarm (lol).
However, it seems that the only hotel in Djibouti that has hot water is the Kempinski, so I guess that can't be helped.
Overall, this is a hotel I would recommend.
Hotel is very clean. The meals are delicious. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There was always drinking water in my room. Completely renewed. Right next to the port. It is also close to Bawadi Mall. My choice will be the same on my next visit. Thank you very much Aysha.
Ras Dika is more like a 5* homestay than just a very good, comfortable, excellently located simple hotel. Owner Neima goes out of her way to make her guests feel more like spoiled children than paying customers. Breakfasts that could last you the whole day, local and national travel advice, help with anything you need. Our visit was far better than we expected because of her. Thank you Neima and all the staff members who were also very kind . The hotel is steps away from the main market area, many small restaurants, convenience stores a supermarket, and even a club or two that to start get going around midnight. Since it's also near the Old Mosque when a quiet room is available that would be a good choice.
