This is my first time visiting Vietnam and the stay in Meritel Hanoi definitely one of the factor makes this trip a memorable one. Other than good location (very convenient to access to different recommended restaurant) and comfortable room, the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff (such as Daisy, Lukas and Hanh) really helped me a lot during the trip.
Special thanks to Daisy, I would say she is a good demonstration of service excellence. Daisy proactively gave us a lot of recommendations to the local attractions and restaurants and even extended help to make reservation , and she even check back with us afterwards.
I would recommend Meritel Hanoi if you are going to visit Hanoi.
The environment is very good, the price is affordable, and I know to be close to the Chinese! The quality of service is also very good, and the Vietnamese beef and chicken soup noodles for breakfast are more delicious! Nourish your stomach, okay!

Truly wonderful service, great location, very nice rooms, the best tasting restaurant on rooftop with amazing views. Really happy we stayed here. The employee named Don also helped upgrade our room, book us a train ticket last minute, store our bags, and and check out late. The only minor improvement could be that the gym is limited and had a slightly not working machine. Overall would recommend to everyone.

Living in a villa, the room is great, I recommend everyone to stay here, about 100 yuan more than star hotels. In the morning, the store made the powder for us free of charge, and there were a variety of freshly squeezed juices to drink.

Spacious room with a huge bed. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location was really good next to major attractions. Being outside of Old Quarter was good to avoid the crowds and noise. The rooms were quiet, with thick curtains helping a lot with the noise. Would recommend.
The location of the restaurant is good, the counter service is friendly, and many authentic delicacies are nearby. If you don’t want to try local food, you can go to the sixth floor of the Vincom Ba Trieu shopping mall in front. It's a supermarket! The only disadvantage of the hotel is that the breakfast is relatively simple and the hotel is small in size, and some rooms have basically no windows!

TThe_Ross_1No frills hotel, right in the middle of where you need to be if you want a good staying in Hanoi.
The manager is a very pleasant guy who strives to give you a good staying and with a sense of pride in his job (a rarity these days).
All the staff were very polite, friendly, attentive and helpful!!!!!!!
They also organised an airport drop off,at a very affordable price.
Spotlessy clean hotel and room.
I can't recommed it enough.
If I would ever go back to Hanoi,I would definitely book there again.

MMike•CheongA Comfortable and Pleasant Stay at Super Candle Hotel
I recently stayed at Super Candle Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a great balance of comfort, convenience, and value for money. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities, making for a very comfortable stay.
GGuest UserThe slippers that were provided for walking around the room was too loud, where it is difficult to be quiet when walking around in them. The husband is also uptight in not letting people eat in the dining area but outside which I can understand and could go along with, because they don't want the guest to leave garbage or get their table dirty, but they need to at least leave a garbage can outside so the guest don't have to leave it on the ground. I didn't like how I couldn't find a place to throw my ice cream wrapper away when I ate it outside and had to end up throwing it in the garbage of another person's place.
I also didn't like the location of how it was out of the city center where it wasn't near any grocery stores or open fruit and vegetable, and meat markets. Just by a bunch of restaurants some being a bunch of aggressive jerks sitting outside waiting for bystanders to walk by where they try to aggressively approach you to get you to eat at their restaurant. I need a place where I can use a kitchen to cook food for myself. I don't need to eat out every day.
These owners are a bit shady at times in that when I did came in early where it was not time for me to check in where I was willing to wait until my room is ready, their son had the nerve to try to make a few bucks off me in that if I pay them a few bucks, I can have my room before the check in time which was a bit tacky. The husband didn't give me very good advice when he told me that staying at this place is good for going into the city center and coming back, which it isn't for me, because I have to take the bus 1 hour and 45 minutes to the city center which is a longways. What lousy advice for my situation like he was trying to convince me to stay longer just so that they can make more money off of me. This was a little tacky too. Good for them, but not good for me.
I also didn't like how they send my clothing to a cleaner when I thought they were going to wash it in their washer and hang it up on their clothesline on their top floor. Not only that, but the cleaners lost my dress pants in the process or probably even stoled it and kept it for themselves and not really telling me the truth. I told them about this and they said that the cleaners who they sent it to didn't know what happen to it. The owners were even trying to try to lie a little bit by saying that I never gave them a dress pants for them to wash which is a bunch of ********.
They could have just let me use their washer where I could have used my own detergent to wash my clothing and hang it up to dry on their clothesline on the rooftop of their place where I would have paid them for it. For all I know these cleaners that they sent my clothing to for them to wash could be their friend and they are trying to help give their friends the business for any of their guests that has laundry for them to use. These cleaners are probably a bunch of thieves for all I know that probably looked through guests clothing for things that are valuable which they take and pretend that they don't know anything about it when the guests inquire of it. This is another shady tactical thing that they are probably doing as well.
I even asked them if they could compensate me which would not have amounted to much which they had refused. They didn't even have the nerve to apologize to me but to only lie to me by telling me ******** that the cleaners who they sent guests clothing to never lose any of their clothing which is a bunch of ********. All of this could have been avoided had they either let me use their washer or they wash it for me in their washer where I would have paid them. Do not trust these people with your clothing!!!!
GGuest UserService from reception is exceptional. The only thing to feedback is the smell from piping drain caused the room smelly for whole night. If you do not mind to sleep with that “shit”smell then this is good hotel in terms of location. Very near to train street.

CcassapocketThe cleanliness is a bit sus. The towels are yellow. But the room is clean, bed is comfy, shower is hot.
Food here is bad - suggest not to eat here.
TV couldn’t work and wifi was down the whole stay (not rly their fault, twas due to the typhoon)
Overall: Not for the fussy, only if desperately need a place for a night near the airport

For the price of less than 70bucks a night and the distance from all the shops, restaurants and local life, what more can we ask for.

GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store.
Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it.
The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders.
I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
GGuest UserReception were very friendly and helped to book my taxis (cheaper than getting a Grab taxi). The room itself was very clean and housekeeping were attentive and cleared out bins etc everyday.
The location is also very good - near old town area and great to visit by going around the lake.
