Maspalomas Princess

I scored an average rating as a repeat visitor, Our experience was not as good as last year. ( sept 23). The bed pillows were too flat for me as they did not support my head. To be fair, This was the same as last year. I was disappointed that we had no sky tv in the room not even Spanish. We did report this to reception and TUI reps was told that the problem was area wide. However, there was TVs working in the theatre bar area and Spanish channels were available in the courtesy room. Same as last time air conditioning was not sufficiently cool in the room. When pool security removed towels and personal bags from loungers when unattended before 10am, they should not take personal belongings such as bag and contents. We were only away 10 minutes to go to the toilet. I understand the rules about reserving loungers before 10am but we were sitting on the loungers for around 40 minutes before we left for a short period. The staff at the hotel were excellent.

This is our second year in a row here and again we had the best time. Everything you need on holiday is here, the afternoon cakes mmmmmmmm, the food is what you expect for an All Inclusive hotel but there was loads to choose from and always well cooked. The pools are lovely and in the winter are heated, and our kids love the kids pools and the slides. I like that you can get your own drinks as it means you don't have to wait a long time. I think this a fab hotel and if we could pick it up and move it to a different island then we would.

Great, clean rooms and facilities, lovely staff, terrific food choices and self-serve beer, wine and sangria (all-inclusive package) on tap - what’s not to love?!? We had a fantastic stay here and will absolutely return again.

A lovely hotel and met my expectations. Staff were with one exception very friendly and attentive. Very impressed with this hotel as they had a gentleman with Down's syndrome helping in reception. Great to see such an opportunity for this young man gainfully employed by this hotel. Restaurant could get busy at times but staff ensured seating was located promptly. Although the hotel is about a 15/20 minute walk from the beach, it's a pleasant car free stroll down the (generally) dry river bed and buses stop right outside the hotel and a taxi rank close too. Ample parking on site and surrounding roads. Plenty of sunbeds Although adult area often fully utilised. Large pool and separate family one with slides, waterfalls etc plus separate paddling area. Small supermarket, an Italian and Lebanese restaurant nearby, but hotel restaurants and bars meet all tastes. In hotel supermarket is very expensive and chemist is only a parapharmacy, so does not sell any prescription or necessarily regulated medicines. So fine for some basics like suncream. If you need medicines there is a 'proper' chemist down near the lighthouse.

My husband and I went for 4 nights at the end of April to get some sun and a rest. Unfortunately we won't be back. This hotel is massive. There was a real lack of personality. At check in, nothing was explained to us I.e. where the restaurant was, the adults only pool, etc. We did not know there was another bar in the other side of the hotel at night where we could have sat away from the entertainment. The rooms themselves were big however the air-conditioning was terrible. Our room got the sun in the afternoon which was lovely but we were right next to the entertainment area so it was very loud and meant we could not escape the noise. The room was clean, however there was room for some improvement I.e. we got suncream on the mirror the first day by accident and only on the last day, was it cleaned. The food was poor. Breakfast was the best meal of the day as the restaurant was much quieter. Lunch was always very crowded at the main restaurant. Dinner was a shambles. The restaurant itself is small for the size of the hotel. We found sitting outside the best. This hotel is very family friendly therefore there were a lot or children who would run around and bump into people etc. We dreaded going to dinner every night as it was very stressful. The hotel was not full as well so I worry for the summer months! The food was often cold and lacked any flavour. The restaurants were clear however tables were often missing cutlery etc and there was not always staff to ask for some more. The poolside food was just standard stuff - nothing to write home about. There were fresh crepes being made at one bar, however these had to be paid for which, considering you are at an all inclusive, was very poor. The adults only pool was a nice touch however, impossible to get a bed after 10am and there was no atmosphere at all - no music, nothing!! We chose to sit at the big pool instead as at least there was music and sometimes things going on in the pool. There is only 1 set of toilets at the pool. Again, for the size of the hotel, this was less than ideal. Again, I would dread to think how busy these would be when the hotel was full. There were plenty of sunbeds. The pools themselves were nice. The bars had a good selection of drinks. The entertainment staff seemed lovely but apart from the foam party and one Olympic style game, we didn't see much other activities to partake in. The entertainment really let this hotel down. Possibly the worst set of entertainment I've seen in a hotel. Before about 9pm, there was children focused entertainment which was fine as we tended to eat later to have a quieter dinner expereince. However, the later entertainment was very poor. Apart from one night, this appeared to be put on by the animation team and was often lip singing to songs. The speaker system was poor therefore there was no atmosphere as well. The lack of people who watched the entertainment really reflected the quality. We stayed in a princess hotel a few years ag

Great family holiday, the water park was amazing for the kids and the 2 nights at the specialist restaurants on sight were so good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our 3 year old was entertained all the time and sadly our 10 month was teething and didn't get on with the heat but hotel had everything we wanted so didn't need to leave

I must say that the hotel is very picturesque and there are lots of bars on site to choose from. I only want for a relaxing 4 nights and I must say it was well worth it. The room was very clean and spacious overlooking the pools and beautiful palm trees and the staff's were very polite and friendly. Would definitely be coming to stay here again.

Another great holiday at the Tabaiba Princess. The food, animation team an ALL staff were friendly and welcoming as always. We really cannot fault this hotel. It is EXCEPTIONALLY clean and the food choice is fab, as always. Thank you Princess team, we'll be back!

Just a few days relax at this lovely resort hotel - delivered everything we hoped for and more. The room was lovely and spacious with two large beds, excellent clothing space, a great TV with english channels seating area, great balcony overlooking the pool and gardens and a more than adequate bathroom. Towels were provided and changed to order and also given for taking onto sunbeds with changes available every couple of days. The outside area was spacious, with areas for children and areas that were child free. Several pools were nicely warm with Lifeguard patrols and the sunbeds were plentiful with lots of tree shade and sunshades. Rule in force against pre placing of towels before 10am and it worked a treat. Also liked the no smoking rules that meant the bathing areas were smoke free whilst points were provided to smoke for those that needed to. A big +. Food in the main restaurant was plentiful, varied, well presented and very satisfying. Smaller snack bars were still good quality. All inclusive operated at two levels - one with inclusion of the basic core drinks including local alcohols, and a higher fee for branded alcohols. We found the lower level perfectly adeqaute. It is a big complex - maybe slightly impersonal - but it provided everything we could have wished for and gave us a very relaxing few days.
