An excellent hotel, in a superb location. We knew the food on the jetty was great from eating there on many previous visits to a neighbouring hotel. Thomas was his usual helpful self. First time staying in the hotel. The rooms are lovely, and breakfast was good too. Nice to have omelette or fried eggs cooked to order. Salih the barman is a great asset to the hotel with his friendly banter and excellent service.

This hotel is in a lovely location, very picturesque and beautiful , however the hotel itself was a bit of a disappointment. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and showed to our room by the owner, who was very pleasant, we were a party of 3 adult women ( mum and daughter aged 23 and friend aged 21), the first room on the ground floor near reception over looking the rd was very small and cramped so we asked if there were any other rooms available ,we were taken to a room on the first floor overlooking the pool which was slightly better. The room consisted of 2 rooms with a separating door , but only 1 room had aircon so this defeats the object of having a dividing door as you need to keep the door open between the rooms to allow the air to flow in to the other room ( although it still was uncomfortably hot in the other room) but we managed. The rooms are very very basic and gloomy but also very clean ( the maids work really hard). The pool was nice 👍 seemed to be enough sun beds too, we did get up about 8 ish to secure a sun-bed in a desired spot. The hotel bar lacked a bit of atmosphere but the barman Salah is lovely and tries his best but it seemed he was cautious of playing music at times and the staff seemed very aware of making sure they following the rules set out by the owner. The breakfast was ok , the staff worked hard to please you but don’t expect an English breakfast to be on offer, but we managed with toast and scrambled eggs, there was also fruit cereal cheese and omelettes. Our biggest issue was with the water, the water pressure was so bad that 6 nights out of 10 when we went for a shower on an evening between 6 and 7 we had no water and I don’t mean hot water but no water at all in the shower, we had to wait at least 40 mins between showers , meaning that it took the 3 of us over 2 hours to get ready. This was very frustrating, we reported to reception on numerous occasions and we were told just to wait. On the second to last night I spoke to the owner who apologised but was unable to fix the issue. This problem did unfortunately affect our stay, and for this reason and the poor quality of the rooms we would not return, which is a shame because the hotel is in a great location and all the staff were lovely with exception of Tomas who was a bit pushy and at times was a bit rude to my daughter and her friend. The owner and his son also were very friendly and both lovely and polite at all times. The owners gave us our room free of charge until we left at 8pm which we appreciated. All in all we did enjoy our holiday, we met some lovely family’s and couples at the hotel and Dalyan is a beautiful place.

Dalyan is a beautiful place but our vacation was ruined because of this hotel. Rude management and they give you contradicting information. We asked for beach towels and they said they don't offer them and when we complained to management they said we misunderstood. Washrooms are not clean and swimming pool water looks dirty (not sure it is safe to swim in it). One if the workers tried to convince us to book a boat trip which we found much cheaper in town. It is not worth wasting money at that hotel. It is misleading to have such high rating.

Hotel needs a lot of work. Rooms are distressing with dirty spots. They need to improve service and cleanliness. I will never go back there. I regret wasting g money and time there. Next yike in Daltan I will make sure to pick a better place.

We arrived at the Turay early hours of the morning via an organised transfer with the hotel, lovely air conditioned bus. When we arrived we were quickly shown to our rooms and settled in. Having visited before in 2019 before ownership change we knew roughly what to expect from the hotel. It’s a short 10 minute walk into town which is perfect for us. The new owner to his credit has made amendments to the hotel which have improved its quality. The staff were amazing, from the cleaners, to the bar staff (Salah) and the restaurant staff (Tomas) and others. The chef in the kitchen was fab at breakfast making fresh omlettes and eggs. Unfortunately the Management gave off a vibe of them and us - meaning the staff were constantly on edge, they all seemed very anxious incase they did something wrong, the few conversations I saw between staff and management were not pleasant. They work so hard, seven days a week and do a fantastic job it made me sad to see them so worried. There were inconsistencies in several things, meals we ordered once when ordered again came completely differently, prices for late check out and boat trips varied dependent on who you spoke with. We previously had a fan in the second room as no aircon in their (and two childrens bed) we didn’t have this on this occasion, we did ask at reception to be told no they don’t have any. Yet later in the week another family complained and they went and bought them one! They had an older daughter. I guess our small children were an inconvenience. The owner told children off for playing too loudly in the pool (there were a lot of children) and no one could understand why, it was lovely to see children who didn’t know each other playing like they should! On leaving we had paid for a private transfer and were advised of a pickup time and to meet at reception we did this and 10 minutes after the agreed time no one was there so we had to go and find someone in the restaurant - the son and his owner came back rather swiftly looking a bit panicked and explained that his son would be taking us back to the airport in his car. I felt unhappy about this as it was not what we agreed or paid for but unfortunately we were not in a position to argue as we would have been late for check in. Overall we had a lovely holiday, made by the lovely couples and families we met at the hotel who we will stay in touch with, and the lovely staff - however the attitude of management means we will not be returning to what was a little piece of paradise when we first visited in 2019. I understand from other replies to feedback on here the owner plans to make it adults only, we definitely felt families were not what they were looking for at this hotel, which is a shame as 70% of the guests were just that.

Having read other reviews I don’t think there’s very much I can add. This hotel really does go the extra mile for their guests. This is a three star hotel and that’s what we were expecting but this has got to be one of the best three star hotels ever. We arrived late at night but we’re given a tour by Mr Turay and allocated a ground floor room with a terrace overlooking the pool. The rooms are basic but more than adequate with very effective air con, a fridge and comfortable beds. Everyone working there, and I mean everyone, can’t do enough for their guests from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. We were staying on a half board basis but I would advise against this and just book B&B. We loved having breakfast on the terrace every morning watching the turtles and other wildlife. We bought lunch from the Serenity restaurant and everything we had was excellent. Unfortunately the evening meal for guests staying half board was a set meal with no choice. Although the food was lovely we really think there should be a choice. We mentioned this to Mr Turay when we left and he did say he would consider introducing a choice but really there are so many nice places to eat in the town or in the hotel restaurant. The location of this hotel on the riverside with beautiful views of the mountains together with its fabulous staff are this hotel’s greatest assets. My favourite 3* hotel ever

We had a great time at this lovely hotel, great staff, nice and clean and a great location. The only one thing I could say that the hotel can improve on is more umbrellas around the pool area, they do have a shaded grass area away from the pool but if you have kids to keep an eye on around the pool then this becomes difficult. Please invest in some more pool umbrellas. Loved the hotel and the staff, we will definitely be back

This was not our first time to Turkey but it was our first time staying in Dalyan and at the Turay Hotel. We'd previously visited Dalyan on a day trip. We were surprised to find when we arrived that our room was two bedrooms which was basic but clean. We arrived quite late at night and was shown around by the owner. It's a small family run hotel with about 32 rooms. We had a buffet breakfast every day which was nice as we got to sit right next to the river and would see fresh water turtles every morning aswell as Kingfishers and diving Cormorants. The pool was freezing and we only went in it once or twice and there were plenty of sunbeds. The mozzies were a problem unfortunately due to it being so close to the river and it didn't matter what repellent we used we still got bitten! There were a couple of ******* regarding the room. The master bedroom had Aircon which was great but the single bedroom didn't and the TV and dressing table with mirror were both in the single bedroom which we thought was odd. They should have been in the master bedroom because when we were trying to get ready there was no mirror in the master bedroom and although we kept the door open the single bedroom did not cool down much. So when I was trying to get ready and dry and style my hair I had to keep going back into the master bedroom to cool down! There really needs to be a large mirror in the master bedroom and the TV should be in there too. There was also a fridge in the single bedroom but no tea/coffee making facilities, which given it was B&B there really should have been. So we bought a travel kettle and mugs and took it with us. We were on the ground floor so the balcony was a good size although there was no airer to hang wet towels and swimwear on, we just had to hang it over the balcony or on the chairs. All the staff at the Turay were very friendly and welcoming and made our holiday great. We did like Dalyan and overall had a lovely holiday. Not sure if we will be back though.
