The room was very clean, and the front desk service was warm and attentive. It's very close to Datong Museum. They arranged a room that perfectly met my requirements, which was so thoughtful. They even gave me a small snack box when I checked in (I already ate it and forgot to take a picture!), and a little gift when I left! It was this cute little blue pony! Next time I come to Datong, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again!

The location is close to the old train station, and there are many restaurants nearby. The 69 Mao Restaurant is quite good, and Kaige Restaurant isn't far either, but I skipped it because of the crowds. The environment is nice; the lobby offers fruit and popsicles in the afternoon, and the service is excellent. The rooms are also nice, with a distant view of Datong Ancient City. There's a laundry room, but some guests are inconsiderate and even want to use the washing machine to wash their shoes. The breakfast is good, with local specialties like knife-cut noodles and cold noodles. Overall, it's a good experience.

I had a great one night stay at the Hauting Hotel. It’s a large, modern hotel conveniently located in a building attached to a big shopping centre, which made it easy to grab food or essentials. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, with individual heating and cooling and electric opening and closing window dressings. The shower had excellent water temperature and pressure, and the bathroom was well-stocked with quality toiletries including shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste. A great bonus was the free laundry facilities. It has a gym also but I didn’t try that. Breakfast featured a nice spread of Asian cuisine, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a great experience and excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend it to others visiting Datong.

The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the old town; a taxi ride there costs less than 10 yuan.
