Taxis plentiful and inexpensive. Nightly dinner was at the hotel restaurant - good food, surprisingly very affordable prices and extremely good services from the staff. What stood out most were the very helpful, cheerful staff, at the front desk, restaurants, and cleaners!

Ctrip has never met such a weird front desk supervisor in 19 years. ① When checking in, there were no other guests at the front desk. After handing the ID card to the female supervisor at the front desk, she asked the name of the person who made the reservation with the ID card in her hand. I was confused for a while and said it was on the ID card. She asked the name of the person who made the reservation for the second time. Is the hotel front desk supervisor illiterate? Booked 2 rooms, and asked me if I should open one first? Three people have ID cards in hand to open one? I want to ask the hotel management about this sentence, how did they train these questions? ② Handed me the room card and said it was OK. I asked if I could use the room card for breakfast? She said the breakfast voucher was in the room card. (The breakfast coupon is on the back of the room number paper) They didn't tell me what time the meal started, which floor the breakfast was on, how to get to the guest room from the left and right elevators, where the bathroom was, and whether to use the room card to go to the bathroom. Everything depended on the guests themselves. ③ Aren't these questions asked by the guests the most basic things that the front desk should tell the guests? Also pay attention to the small actions of receiving guests. ④ When dining in the restaurant, the front office supervisor brought a fruit plate and asked me to explain. He said explanation, not apology. He said it was busy during the Spring Festival, and there was no disrespect. I didn't let him continue, and directly said that there were no other guests when I checked in, so there was no reason to be busy. When asking me the reservation information for the second time, he stared at the guest and asked while flicking his right hair. These small actions that disrespected people, to be honest, I was so angry at the time, but I thought that it was also the seventh day of the first ***** month when I took my parents out for a trip, so I endured it. The fruit plate was not eaten. Eating people's hands is short, which affects the truthful evaluation. My mother especially wanted to try the millet porridge in Shanxi, and the friends in the inn specially took a bowl from their employee meal for her. My mother has been thinking about it since she returned to Guangzhou. If you want to stay in the ancient city of Datong, you can book their place with confidence, you will be pleasantly surprised.

We spent two wonderful nights at Yungang Hotel in Datong. First of all, our deepest gratitude to Yang wen yuan - 杨文元. When booking from Europe, we did not realise correctly the time required to get to the caves and to the hanging monastery (a must view when in Datong). We thought that by using public transport we could manage to do both in a short period of time. So wrong! We arrived and Yang wen yuan - 杨文元 reassured us and in less than 30 minutes he was able to help and book for us a private car for the next day. He made our stay unforgettable. Thanks a lot from both of us if you are reading ! Plus, this hotel is wonderful : super new, technological and the staff is super kind (from the ones in the lobby to the ones in the restaurant/cafeteria). Breakfast is amazing. You can have everything, freshly made for you.

I recently came to the ancient city of Datong from Beijing and chose Yungang Jianguo Hotel to stay. When you first walk into the imposing lobby, the exquisite decoration is very eye-catching. In particular, the service reception is warm and thoughtful, and the business is skillful. Special praise for the two beautiful waiters, Meng Nan and Wang Caiyun, who took the initiative to help solve every problem they encountered. There was also a waiter on the 8th floor of Tower A who helped adjust the air conditioner and was very responsible. When we came to the restaurant at noon and chose the buffet, the waiters Sun Liying and Wang Hao were enthusiastic and thoughtful, and promptly helped solve minor situations we encountered. Thumbs up to them and all the service staff in the store! With three days and two nights of food and accommodation here, we felt like home. I am 166 cm tall, and only my big toe touches the ground. My face can be exposed a little, and I have to tilt my head up... The overall experience is good. If I have the opportunity to come to Datong in the future, I will probably choose to stay here again.

The hotel is located in a good location near shops Nd the old town sights. The rooms are large and the service on the executive floor was excellent, fresh fruit everyday not just once. The restaurant and room service are open lunch and diner time only, no late meals. Extensive breakfast is available. There is a bar but did not see many users. Did not see any gym or pool but it is possible I missed them. The bed was very comfortable and the high speed station (less than 2 hours to Beijng) is about 30 minutes away by taxi. Very enjoyable would revisit.
