Very nice and modern hotel located in Datong ancient city. The staff was very kind andhelped us a lot with information on how to get to Yungang Grottoes and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was very tasty with local noodle soup.

We absolutely loved staying here! It was such a hidden gem and so so nice. A beautiful courtyard to sit and have morning coffee, great styled room, cozy and warm. The hosts were amazing and made homemade breakfast every morning, whatever we wanted to eat. It was truly an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable, affordable, authentic experience in Datong.

Amazing mansion. Well located in the heart of old city. Room is spacious and spotless. The bed was comfy and big. The girl at the front desk was amazing, friendly and helpful. Brreakfast was standard chinese style but enough to fill your energy. It would be better if add a western style breakfast. I would recommend to stay here.

A gem of a 民宿 located within the Datong old city walls. Conveniently located next to a plethora of good eats including 喜晋道 and the ever popular 霸王茶姬，the friendly yet non-intrusive service staff provided excellent service throughout of 4 day stay. Engaging their 商务车 for 2 days to explore around Datong was a great decision as the staff service extended to having hot beverages, biscuits and fruits ready for us coming in from the cold weather. The same service extends to breakfast for which a spread of home cooked dishes are made fresh daily. A great stay and highly recommended.

Extremely happy with my stay here! Room is very spacious and clean, and I was within walking distance to most of the attractions and restaurants. The staff here are very friendly and they always went out of their way to make my experience in Datong memorable! Fantastic Datong Stay! This hotel was a gem! From the start, the experience was warm, kicking off with complimentary noodles and coffee—a lovely welcome treat. The staff is exceptional. Even without speaking Chinese, their warm attention was constant. A huge thank you to Rachel and her colleagues! They were an absolute A-Plus for English speakers and flawlessly handled booking my local bus to the Xuankong Temple and Yungang Grottoes. Truly lifesavers! The location is perfect, being just minutes away and easily walkable to both Datong Old Town and the magnificent City Walls. For convenience, there are plenty of local restaurants and a handy convenience store right nearby. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and refreshingly smoke-free, and the bed was very comfortable. It was great that we could slightly open the window to manage the heat and humidity. (Just a small note: I do prefer a standard showerhead to the rain shower, but that's minor!)

Lovely japanese-inspired hotel in Datong old town, newly-built or renovated. Very nice breakfast. We had an issue with our room and they graciously moved us to a different one. Also helped organize a day-trip to see the temples in the surrounding area. Recommended.

Located right beside the Bell Tower, so you know you are quite central and every main sight in Datong is within easy reach! I love the idea of having a retro whiskey bar in the hotel, and it was my go-to place in both evenings that we stayed there after all the sightseeing during the day. I even managed to meet the owner by the bar. Rooms are big and well planned, they might be some of the best hotels we have been in at a very reasonable price throughout our two weeks of traveling around northern China.
