Try to drive, no car is not convenient; living conditions are very good, tatami room, big bed room, standard room, all; eating very good, local food is very delicious; there are lamb puppies in the yard, there are Sumi Mountain and bonfire platform nearby.

Hotel was nice and overall clean but description shows that hotel have non smoking rooms but our first room smells like ashdrray. Hotel was fully booked exept suites (i eas not agreed to pay more) and they promised to overclean our room. But sadly smoke smell didn’t disappeared. Smell was still in the shower room and it was discusting. Next night we got new room and everything was fine. Location is great. Breakfast was modest but ok. You can park your car in to underground parking place and it was without extra cost.

The room was very lighting, big and beautiful views at night. Very clean and the staff was so so helpful. They helped us to book a taxi to go to The Hanging temple and buy tickets. Totally recommended. We will come back. The manager was so friendly.

Two days really wasn’t enough, should have arranged at least one more day Datong’s noodles are delicious, and the vinegar is even more touching Datong’s prices are so high that I thought I paid one less zero, and my whole family was so anxious that they ate a meal until their throats were full, 80 yuan… A super large Yuantong ice cream is 2 yuan………I thought it was 20 and apologized to the person for paying the wrong amount [covering face][covering face]. I stayed one night at the hotel. I was visiting Datong. I arrived early and asked front desk if I could leave my suitcase whilst I did some sightseeing. The front desk staff told me I could check into my room. The young lady who assisted me spoke some English. She also helped me with booking tickets to visit the Yungang Grottes. My room rate included breakfast which had a wide choice of items. The room I had (1212) was spotlessly clean and had a view towards the old walls. I would highly recommend this hotel for a tourist visit.

Stayed here 3 nights with my family. The hotel is close to the high speed railway station. The guest room is well appointed and comfortable. Cleanliness can do better, there was mold in the bathroom. The bell staff service was lacking, our request to arrange for transport to the Train station on the day of our departure was denied The bell hop asked us t make our own arrangements Other than that, all good during our stay. We would like to make special mention to their Front Office manager, Mr Yang whom we had the pleasure to meet on the first day when we checked in. When he found out that we required a driver and a guide to bring around us to explore Datong, Mr Yang quickly made the arrangement at a reasonable price. He even arranged for the Chinese Restaurant to serve us lunch when he heard that we needed lunch. Lunch at the restaurant was good and we continued to patronise thoroughout our stay. We must compliment the great service rendered by all day dining and Chinese restaurant service teams. Thank you, once again to Mr Yang for going his extra mile to serve us. Your hospitality made our stay at Yungang Hotel so memorable.

Exceptional. The staff is just excellent. The room was just great. Unfortunately, we got a room that has no view of the old city but anyway. Very positive memory about staying in that hotel, could easily recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed our three nights stay in this hotel. Quiet and clean except for some not so pleasant smell from the bathroom. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. This includes the free pickup transport driver, the front desk staff and the janitors as well. The breakfast provided by the hotel was so delicious and nutritious, too. We enjoyed the three mornings breakfast with different menu for three consecutive days. The chef and his wife were also very cheerful to see us enjoy their cooking. 👍👍👍👍👍 This hotel is located near to Datong South Railway Station. If you are using the public bus, there are five buses passing through :#68,#66,#61,#31,#14. Bus #68 & #66 also go to the city. The traveling time from the hotel to the city by public bus is about ½ an hour, ticket price is 2 Yuan each. It's only 20mins by taxi, 15-20 Yuan. There are also some eating shops nearby...

However, there are many people during the Chinese New Year and you have to wait for a long time for a table. The hotel has robots for takeout, which is very convenient.
