Pavilion On Northbourne

The staff at Pavilion couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful in letting us change rooms and responding to requests. But this didn’t quite make up for the fact that this hotel is in need of some serious TLC. We noticed at reception a tourist excellence award from Trip Adviser from 2012, which is hardly current. On the plus side: The huge foyer area was pleasant and welcoming. The king bed was very comfortable which is the main thing, quality linen. Bathroom towels were plentiful and soft and the shower over the bath had a non-slip surface and a useful help rail to get in and out. What needs attention: The desk and table in both rooms we had were chipped, and the curtains somewhat old and worn. The darkish grey paint also did nothing to raise the energy of what was already a dark room (215) with a tree outside. No plugs were provided for the basin and the bath, though these were supplied on request The restaurant staff were great, but the chicken schnitzel we ordered was really disappointing and poor value at $35. We would also have appreciated a microwave being available, if not as standard on request, as in many hotels. Overall a disappointing experience we would not repeat.
Adina Serviced Apartments Canberra Dickson

Nice leafy quiet street. Close to light rail. Good secure parking. Reception staff efficient. You can walk to Dickson or Civic if you have a spare 20 mins. Room we had was quite small (especially the shower) so not good for larger people. Beds comfy, but we did not like the pillows (there was only one option). Limited facilities (café downstairs seemed to only make coffee). But as we chose it for its price, quietness and location it met our needs well and overall we would stay again.
Quality Hotel Dickson

The accommodation is very good. -There are supermarkets, coles and Woolworths around. Fast food has KFC McDonald's for basic breakfast needs. -The surrounding area is not downtown, it feels convenient to have a car. It is about ten minutes away from the city by car. Parking is free, which is great. -Average service attitude, check in and check out are all Indians. -The room is clean and tidy enough, and the room is comfortable and good value for money. Washing clothes can be done in washing clothes, washing powder 2 knives, washing clothes 3 knives, forget to dry, never used. The selected room type has a small balcony, which is great.
