"Ideal location if you want to avoid town and stay near the beach. I enjoyed evening walk from hotel to Saint Kilda beach. It was less than 5 km for return trip."
"The so-called living in a castle is actually a room converted from a stable. The room is very small and the shapes inside the room are also different, so it is easy to hit your head.
But apart from the above objective conditions, I think all the aspects are good. The breakfast is very good. You eat on the first floor of the stable. The coffee is amazing. The water and milk in the small refrigerator upstairs are very good. The waiter is very responsible for introducing each family and taking them to check in.
The so-called castle is a relatively large house, not even as big as some old houses of Fujian people. It cannot be considered as a castle. The garden... well... is not as flowery as the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City. The plants are mainly succulents. It is not necessary to expect to see flowers, but it is also a feature.
The most recommended is dinner. You can make an appointment for dinner when staying here. It is a rare highlight of the food in this New Zealand trip. There are only four dishes, which are exquisite and attentive, and taste good. If you don't mind sharing the hall with strangers, you can experience the long table dinner and have a drink and chat with the neighbors who live in the stable that night. The English spoken in one night is almost the sum of the past two years. It is very relaxing and happy."
"It is an old hotel with good sanitation and breakfast. However, there is no elevator. If you live upstairs, it will be a headache. In addition, the sound insulation of the windows is not good. The side facing the street is full of cars at night, which is quite noisy."

"The location is close to the main street and you can walk to the main attractions, but the city has ups and downs and it can be a bit tiring to walk. The one-bedroom apartment has a living room and a kitchen, which is very convenient with a full set of kitchen utensils and tableware. The University of Otago is very beautiful. If you are interested, you can visit the School of Art. It is so beautiful!"

"The hotel is in a great location, between the First Church and the train station, and more than 100 meters away from Countdown supermarket, which is convenient for shopping and can also solve the 90-minute parking problem. There is an elevator. The room is large, the kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, and the living room is very comfortable. The only problem is that the door hinge is too tight, which makes it inconvenient to open and close the door."
"The hotel is on the slope at the end of George Street, overlooking Dunedin. The appearance is small and fresh, and the inside is exquisite. It is so clean. Kitchenware, tableware, washing machine and dryer are all available. The superior one-bedroom room has a large bed + a single bed, especially suitable for a family of three."
"The host (Sue) is very kind, needs to wash clothes during the journey, Sue is happy to provide (free) washing powder! ! I also repeatedly reminded that the laundry power will be turned off after 9 pm to avoid disturbing other guests, which is quite intimate."
"The hotel has a variety of bed type rooms with separate or non-independent washrooms, and rooms with separate washrooms have wash basins. The location is very good, the Auckland University campus and the city, train station, etc. can be reached on foot, the train station is a little far away, about 1.6 km. There is a simple breakfast sharing in the common area, coffee, hot chocolate and bread, instant noodles and more. No extra beds, children can rent a room in a family hotel, free parking. Although the room is a bit old, the whole building is very historical, and the landlord is very kind."

Great
DDingtoudingnaoThe roses in this hotel are of very good quality and are bigger than fists. The room is also quite spacious, you can cook your own food (cook instant noodles), it is clean and tidy. Parking is also very convenient.
GGuest UserParking is inconvenient: The hotel is in the city center. I walked around the hotel twice but couldn't find the entrance to the parking lot. I had to park on the roadside and then go to check in. As a result, I was told that the hotel parking lot was full and I could only park at a nearby parking lot at my own expense (free from 6pm to 9am, if I remember correctly).
There are two elevators, one new and one old. The old elevator is a bit scary to me...very old;
The room facilities are pretty good, but the ground is partially sunken? Subsidence? I dare not step on it.
Overall, it is still pretty good, but parking is a bit troublesome.
GGuest UserOverall, it was very good. I stayed for one night. It was comfortable and warm. Check-in and check-out were easy and hassle-free. It is located in the suburbs. It doesn't matter if you have a car. Overall, it was very good. There are cats. There is also a small bottle of milk when you check in🥛
CChalinee SamutphongThis hotel is very good, clean and comfy. I love their bed. It's so soft and comfortable. It's located in the good location. If you don't mind hearing the noises of cars and sirens.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very convenient, right on the main street, and the owner is very helpful. The environment is good, the service is good, the sanitation is comfortable, very satisfied, will come again, recommend friends to stay in Dunedin.
MMoodyMerryThe hotel is very convenient as it's located in the central city, Every attraction and food outlet is approx 10 to 15 minutes walk which I don't mind. The hotel provides a breakfast buffet all day and dinner from 6pm to 9pm. The customer service is very professional and friendly! I got a king bedroom that also includes air conditioning which is very cosy. The bed is very comfortable, however am not really a fan with soft pillows.
They have plenty of amenities and facilities in the room, i love the experience and have a nice sunrise view in the morning. Would definitely recommend to family and friends to stay.
OozshaoBest location. The one-hundred years old house is well maintained, the room is well presented. Car park is pretty small and drive way is very narrow. Everything else is perfect.Highly recommended.
CChoMr.Nice hotel. Spacious room, clean toilet. Breakfast was not that high quality, but I can't complain of it considering the reasonable price. Recommendable place!
AAnonymous UserThe parking lot next to the hotel is not available. You have to pay 25+$ to let the hotel park for you. However, the breakfast in the hotel is pretty good. It is also close to citytown.
GGuest UserA very retro and stylish hotel. It is indeed very old, and the facilities are also very old. The traces of time can be seen everywhere, and the bathroom is also very small. But its biggest advantage is that it is in the city center, very close to the most popular and beautiful station, the Octagonal Square, and other places. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, providing breakfast and dinner. In addition, the price is also very cost-effective. It depends on your opinion. It depends on each person's choice.
