From the very first contact of booking, the staff at the Symposion Hotel Post go out of their way to be helpful. They assisted with different aspects of my booking and were great with communication. When I arrived early at Traunkirchen, they sent a car to pick me up from the station. At the hotel, check-in was super smooth and easy, and they helped me with my bags to the room. The room itself was lovely and comfortable, as well as being a good distance from the stairs, which helps to cut down on noise. The next morning, breakfast was a very good spread of fresh food, and staff were happy to help me with things as I asked about them (jet-lag addled my brains). They were also very helpful for tips about getting around, drove me back to the station at the end of my day, and wished me genuine good wishes for the rest of my trip. Definitely highly recommended!

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and is located in the heart of the city centre. Most expensive breakfast with good house cakes. A little dream place with beautiful views of the small town of Gmunden but quietly. One of our best memories of Austria. It has 3 stars but worth four. During my last business trip, I became aware of the ”Time” and spontaneously asked me to find a room on the ground. At arrival, I was received by a very charming young lady in the lobby, There were probably several arrivals at that time. Mrs Kathrin, the manager itself, took time for each guest - it is probably also the philosophy of the house - and yet it took only a few minutes to be in the row. She has a so hearty and competent appearance that you would say - 'it's going on the heart of Vienna'. Later I went to the lounge area. Mrs Margit from the service was very friendly and the colleague whose name I regret not the rooms were very clean, quiet and beautiful. So it must be. Breakfast very good, everything a real Vienna needs ;) Love Kathrin and team, you do a great job. When I come next, I will think of you again! It began with that we reserved a parking place in the front and, of course, have to pay for it. The parking place was not available, there was another car on it. After conversation with the hotel we had to go to the parking lot (publicly) next to the hotel. Our car was parked by the hotel staff. The key was gone back to the room. Then suddenly at 07.30 clock ! the phone sounded. My husband and I still sleep and we were told to go away with the car because the checked couple wants to go home. My answer was that we didn't park the car but the staff of your hotel and we would like to bring the key to change it. There was told us, already very annoyed that no one is there to drive away the car and we must come immediately. A eternal to and from the hotel reception. Horrible! Sunday at 07:30! At last my husband had to dress up, go to the reception, drive away the car and get stupid to be swallowed by the travelers.

I booked an apartment for five people (this apartment can fit up to 12 people) for 2 nights. I then received an email that the number of guests is one. That was weird because the minimum number of guests for the apartment is five as you can see in the attached photo. Upon arrival after hours at around 6 PM, there was no one at the check-in desk. Our key was placed at the check-in desk and our last name was written next to the room number. That room had two twin beds stuck to each other. It was tiny and very different than the apartment that I booked online using ***********. I tried calling the number that they had and when I did I heard a vibration of a cell phone at the check-in desk. I tried contacting *********** and they recommended I speak to the property directly and when I stated that I couldn't get a hold of them they asked me to email *********** and that they would get a response to me in 24 hours. Eventually they did respond saying that the property has been contacted but they did not hear anything back from them, so basically *********** was useless. In the meantime, I had to go next-door to ask for help. The lady next-door called one of the housekeeping ladies who then came down and tried helping us. She then called the man who came and gave us the apartment. That man did not even smile or apologize to us. The apartment was decent, and spacious, however the beds were too soft. It had a nice terrace. There were two bathrooms in the apartments one was a good size and the other was tiny. There is no air conditioner, as many other hotels in Europe. There is no elevator the stairs leading up to the apartments are pretty steep. The breakfast was decent. Parking is offsite and there's about a five minute walk. The town is small but pretty. Overall the stay was pleasant, however the check in experience and the incorrect room and no one at the check-in desk was very unpleasant. At check out, there was another lady who seems to be more involved and had a smile on her face and apologized for the experience we had.

Great hotel in imperial style. Cleanliness - TOP Friendliness and service - TOP Gastronomy & food - TOP Wellness area - TOP Points of criticism, hence 1 point deduction: from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. there is no possibility to drink coffee or another drink. There is a vitality bar in the wellness area which is stocked with water and tea. If you want another drink or a coffee in the afternoon, you have to leave the hotel and go to a nearby restaurant. In the wellness area, for example, you cannot have an infusion in the Finnish sauna.

The most unexpected lakeside hotel in this trip to Europe~Very very recommended~First of all, the location is on the lakeside~There are four kinds of boats for free to play~The lake is clear~The ducks are floating in the water~I didn't encounter any Asian faces during this period~The room looks bigger than the description ~ Much better than the picture~ The balcony can see the lake~ A glass of red wine on the balcony in the evening is full of stars~ Cozy~ Many locals have dinner here~ There are boats to eat~ The whole fish ordered is salvaged in the lake that day~ Delicious~ The best thing is the little brother at the front desk ~ handsome and very friendly ~ take the initiative to take us to the room to introduce ~ recommended friends for self-driving trips

The hotel is modern and in an excellent location, with great facilities including a really good restaurant and an amazing breakfast offering with so much choice. Rooms are spacious with large wardrobe spaces and the hotel is very clean and tidy throughout. All the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient....with a special mention for waitress Anna in the bar & restaurant whose english was superb and her service levels were off the chart! Highly recommend it as a superb base for visiting the Austrian Lake District.
