N’vY Manotel

Geneva|0.39km from Evangelical Missionary Church (HES)
Stayed here six nights in june. Fresh room with operable windows and lots of natural light. Quiet, and the fan system is very good for drowning out any extra noises.Very comfortable new bed and bedding. Wonderful to have lovely espresso machine in room with plenty of capsules. Also refrigerator. They have some kitchenettes which include a microwave, again this is very rare in europe, although more common in the us. Staff is extremely responsive and professional and friendly, unlike many other hoteliers who are very stressed these days and often reflects in a strained attitude. I received almost immediate attention for all my needs. Very stylish public areas with lots of cool contemporary art and many colors and loads and loads of fantastic art science etc books all around the hotel. Nice breakfast buffet in an extremely large and spacious seating area. Eggs, fruits, beans, lox, etc. I have a medical diet and they were very kind to make an adjustment for me. Wonderful location as it is off the beaten path but yet just a 15 minute walk to the train station and you can walk to the water and into the main town. Also was nice to walk to the big hotels easily and safely. Really loved my stay here and I will actually return for another two nights before I fly out later in the month. I stay in many hotels both in the US and around the world the last couple of years and it is impressive the service here and the attitude.

We were 2 adults and one child and this was mentioned very clearly at the time of booking. I was told in the reception that booking says 3 adults and they changed it to 2A & 1 C. Room given to us had 2 twin sharing beds, which left us with no space to even open the luggage’s and 2 adults were not able to share that bed. Staff attitudes were terrible 1. Room (307) was cold for us and asked for help to increase the temperature and the staff who came said, we can’t increase the temperature above 23 degrees. He said they can give heater, I said ok and asked if there is any additional cost. He asked if we’re from India and was laughing. He came back and left the heater outside the room and made a sarcastic statement “it’s free, use it” and was laughing saying Indians. When I tried to stop him, he didn’t even bother and walked away laughing. He just left the heater outside and went. 2. In the morning, I asked to pack 2 croissants as we didn’t have time to have breakfast and need to rush and I was told, we can’t do and you should eat here only. I had to tell them it’s weird and then they gave me a very small cover which could not even accommodate 2 small croissants. I have stayed in Novotel in other countries and never had such a worst experience. I would never stay in this property again during my next visit. Stay here definitely didn’t leave a happy memories for my family.

Very good hotel worth recommending, the receptionist who received us is a little sister with Asian appearance, very polite to speak Mandarin , and upgraded our room. It is very convenient to open the door by e-mail key according to the elevator. It is a few minutes away from the train station. The nearby supermarkets are not small, the Spanish restaurant in the hotel should not be missed, the taste is very good, but remember to book early!

So I made the mistake of staying here for 5 nights. I didn’t realise they didn’t offer daily housekeeping only once a week, it was an obscure information hidden away in the booking engine website. Nevermind, but the way they impose long stay policies on daily paying guests is quite unfair. No housekeeping is fine, I don’t need them to vacuum or change linen, but they should at least provide supplies for 5 nights to be fair. No replenishing of supplies like toilet rolls. By the end of second day we were out and when we asked via chat about replenishing, the exact words of the customer service is “This is the policy at VISION APARTMENTS. All requests has to be done during opening hours.” Which is 9am to 7pm daily. And so if you leave earlier and come back later for your day trips, you’re being punished for it because you will never get any help. We left a note at reception for more toilet paper before we left one morning. It was ignored. I mean I paid a daily rate, I should be given supplies for those days too. And rubbish? They told us to just leave it at reception. How hygienic. Esp post-pandemic. And when we asked for an extra duvet, even one star hotels know you need to provide it with a cover sheet. Nope they have us the duvet directly without any sheets. Come on, as much as you want to save on laundry costs, have some hygiene standards. The wifi is spotty, not very fast and at times not working. No minibar or fridge so I don’t know why they target long stay guests. It was a double room but only one cup and one chair. Overall if you have a choice, don’t stay here and if you do not over 2 nights as they don’t care about your well-being beyond that. The ladies at reception were nice enough on the short time I met them and never again throughout my stay. Vision Apartments need to rethink their strict policies, we are paying guests not prisoners. Give us ample supplies for the duration of our stay and clear our rubbish alternate days. I think that’s a very basic request.

My hotel room was clean, bathroom was also very clean. I stayed at the hotel only for a couple of nights & room was being cleaned every day. I was greeted very welcoming & nothing was a trouble. The room was quiet as I hoped it would be. The bed was comfortable and the soft pillows helped me with quality sleep at the night. And also 3 gentlemen at the reception desk spoke perfect English which I found extra special as unfortunately I don't speak any French. Thank you very much for making such an effort with customers. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who looks for a budget friendly but clean hotel with excellent customer service & great location. Thank you once again. Monika

A very good functional hotel. The room was a little basic but modern and clean. Lots of space also. Shower a little on a small side but ok for me. Breakfast limited but what was on offer was nice, especially the bread. Lovely service and nice reception/bar area.

This hotel is very well located in the center of Geneva close to train station Gare Cornavin and the Lake of Geneva with the Jet d'Eau. Staff is very friendly, rooms are spaciuos and clean. Breakfast is sufficient with 3-4 types of bread, cheese, eggs, fruit and coffee. Lot of restaurants, supermarkets and souvenir shops in the neighbourhood. Room had a safe.
