Auckland Hotels with Gym

We were really looking forward to our stay at this hotel, which is new, has a very central location, is very clean, and has a very-well equipped gym. These features were greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, we encountered a few issues that affected our experience. Despite booking for three guests, our room was only prepared for two, and even after requesting additional amenities, they were not fully provided. The in-room phone was also not working, making it difficult to communicate with the front desk. Housekeeping seemed inconsistent—our room was not thoroughly cleaned after the first night, with some items left out of place and the trash not emptied. Additionally, when ordering a breakfast box for an early checkout, we were surprised by the lack of flexibility in food choices, as we could only remove items rather than substitute them. A bit more understanding from the staff in handling such requests would have been appreciated. Lastly, we noticed that some of the buffet food tasted stale, and one of our family members felt unwell afterward. We’re not sure if this was an isolated incident, but it was a bit concerning.

Breakfast was decent but a bit repetitive, so it would’ve been nice to have some different options on different days. The location was great and really convenient, but cleanliness could definitely be improved — the bathroom and cups weren’t properly cleaned. There’s no on-site hotel parking, and the alternatives were quite expensive. The most cost-effective option was Victoria Street parking, about a 5-minute walk away. The hotel charged $59 per night for Wilson Parking, but it came with limitations, which made things quite difficult. On the plus side, complimentary dental kits were provided, which was a nice touch.

The sea view room has a particularly good view. The hotel's location is also very suitable for one-day tours around the area. The service is also in place. It is recommended.

thumbs up: 1/ location - right on the viaduct harbour 2/ room is spacious & with practical layout and furnishing 3/ nice to see beau the labrador, the ambassador of the hotel  4/ concierge staff mr kim was professional for addressing us  thumbs down: 1/ check in - checked in at about 3pm and waited for more than 40 minutes to have the room ready ... luggage wasn't even sent to the room and needed to wait for another 20 minutes 2/ housekeeping - an area needed big improvement ... it' was not up to park hyatt's standard ... missing replacing tea cups, wine glasses, body lotion, soap, slippers, water, and etc ... the floor was with dust after staying 9 nights ... soap dishes weren't cleaned everyday 3/ breakfast - so apparently short of staff and training ... there were times proper cutlery wasn't prepared when seated and needed to ask for it .. missing orders like cup of coffee and water 4/ guest services - please don't expect calls to be picked up timely

Easy check in. Front desk customer service is awesome! Only one entrance to the hotel which meant the carpark was far away from our room. The foyer had an off stench every time you walked in. The room was great, especially for what we paid for it. The buffet breakfast closes earlier in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed at so we didn’t get to enjoy brunch for long. Also would be beneficial to have a little sign for items you can order somewhere near the buffet as we didn’t know you could order hashbrowns. The only hassle we had was housekeeping. 2 days we had left early and arrived late to our room not done and the sign still on the door. One of those days, we had popped back in to pick up some clothes and housekeeping was outside our room when we came out. Excuse the guitar in the pic, was taking a shot for something else but here’s a snippet of the decor.

Great location that is near to cbd. Have tried two restaurants near the hotel and that’s great. Easy for some nights when lazy. Room is good with kitchen, laundry and sitting room area. A nice chocolate welcome gift. Sweet. 10-15mins walk to pier that open a new world to different islands like Waiheke or Tira Tira. Love and enjoy the start.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Very friendly and professional staff members, from check in to breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and I was so pleased to have feather pillows! Some bedside lights would be useful. The bathroom was spotless and the body products were very nice. Big buffet breakfast, great coffee and egg station. We expected a bed after a long flight, arriving in the middle of the night, we got so much more and will be back

There's no bell boy to assist guest upon arrival and even up to the room. Basically this hotel is ”self-service” hotel. From carrying the luggages upon arrival to the room and out of the room (check out). You have to do it all by yourself by taking the trolley and upload those luggages on to it and bring it to your room. The same applies when you want to check out. Some of the reception staff are not friendly upon welcoming guest to the hotel. Upon our arrival at around 3pm (NZD time) , the reception staff seems not happy in welcoming us. When we asked them why there's no one to assist us on the luggages (5 luggages), and their response was ”they never assist anyone beyond the double entrance glass door”. We were so suprise with their response To be fair, there are other staff [the chef, manager and other reception staff that was on night duty (other than the one assisted us upon our arrival)] are very kind and friendly. They are happy to assist us whenever we have issue during our stay and they go beyond their duty by sharing a lot of tourism information which was very useful to us as tourist in Auckland, NZ.

Very new hotel, so everything very clean. Room was very modern design. All staff very helpful. Great gym in hotel. Coffee shop right outside the hotel entrance is perfect with friendly baristas and delicious cakes!! Short Uber ride to airport. Further away from CBD.

It’s funny that I get to write my first review for a hotel. Since this is a new hotel, there are no reviews for this hotel on any hotel platform. In addition, I have had disappointing accommodation experiences in Europe and Australia in the past. When booking a room, I can only try it with a luck mentality. Fortunately, I was very satisfied with this stay. The main entrance of the hotel is from the alley behind the church (note that it is not the door facing the road). The hotel facilities are new and clean. There is a coffee machine in the underground lobby, and bread and bottled juice are provided in the morning. The hotel staff were enthusiastic, proactive and courteous. When we checked in, they took the initiative to help us deliver our luggage to the room immediately. When we checked out, they also asked us if we needed help calling Taxi. They learned that we had arranged a Super Shuttle ourselves and took the initiative to help us communicate with the driver and provide guidance. The driver drove the car to the main entrance of the hotel (it turned out that there was another entrance to the parking space underneath the hotel). The hotel room is very clean, with enough space to open two large suitcases, and the view outside the window is very beautiful! All snacks and drinks in the room are free for guests to consume. The bathroom is very spacious and the toiletries are very fragrant and useful. However, the bathroom countertop is a bit lacking in space. We stayed here for three nights and the room was tidied the next day to our satisfaction. Overall, it was a good accommodation experience. It was a good place to rest and recharge after arriving in New Zealand after a long flight.
