A good 1 night stop on our long journey from queenstown to the glaciers and Punakaiki. The room was basic but met our needs with microwave, kettle etc, plenty of hot water and a warm bed (it was very cold in Haast at the time). The staff were very friendly and informative of the area. On the managers suggestion we drove to the nearby haast beach to watch the sunset. A well worth it local excursion.

After arriving, because the hotel pump we booked was being repaired, the boss contacted another hotel nearby in advance for the passengers on this day. The room was very good and belonged to the business hotel. It was upgraded 🌝

The room size and parking location are very satisfactory. Please note that you should check in at the restaurant, otherwise you have to go around. The service staff normally gets off work at 9 o'clock. We arrived late that day, but they still waited for us. In addition, the network is a bit slow
