Hotels Near Sotte Porticos Streets Maikou in Haikou

The sanitary environment is very clean, but it was very hot at first. I was sweating even after being inside for fifteen minutes and the air conditioner couldn't cool me down. The landlady is very enthusiastic. The location is very good, just inside the pedestrian street of the old street, and the clock tower is right out the back door. The only bad thing is that when I took a shower at night, I found that there was no shower gel. My hair and body were soaked. I waited for almost half an hour and they didn't get it (I asked three times and they said it would be there in a few minutes), so my husband had to go downstairs and buy it himself.

The hotel looks new and is located in the Haikou walking street. That is very convenient and easy to find something to eat. It is a bit confusing that they sell cloths in front of the hotel. The staffs cannot speak English but are very friendly. The room was spacious and quite clean. There are 2 bottles of water provided in the room for free of charge. Sleeping with ear-plugs is recommended if you book a room with windows, which is facing to the street and a bit noisy in the morning. 100 CNY in cash is required for the deposit for 1 key card.

1. It is right on the Qilou Old Street, opposite Maokong. The hotel lobby is a cafe and creative aromatherapy, which is very atmospheric. I chose three hotels before, and one of them had a store on the first floor, which didn't feel good. I passed by that store when I was shopping, and it turned out that my choice was right. 2. The front desk lady was very enthusiastic and helped me solve the problem. I troubled her a lot, thank you again 3. It is an old Qilou that has been restored to its original state. There are terraces on the third and fifth floors, which overlook the old street. Old objects can be seen everywhere in the room, patio, and lobby. It is estimated that the boss lady has collected them with great effort. It is very local. The boss lady is very beautiful and fashionable. My mother said she looks like a singer.

It is near the arcade, and you can feel the strong historical atmosphere as soon as you go out. There are so many snacks around that it is dazzling. There is a specialty shop every few steps away. From local traditional cakes to street barbecue, every bite is a treat on the tip of the tongue, satisfying the taste buds. The hotel room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities and comfortable bedding. It is very safe to stay. The front desk staff is enthusiastic and the check-in and check-out are fast. The overall cost-effectiveness is super high, and I will choose it next time I come here!

Look Beyond Hotel is in a beautiful location that makes exploring the area an absolute breeze. What really stands out is the convenience of having affordable public parking lots nearby, which takes the stress out of finding a spot. (Ask me where?) Plus, being within walking distance to so many attractions is a huge bonus. It’s the perfect place for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay!

The facade and the hotel structure were less pleasing and I was worried when I arrived. There was no proper drop-off area. The moment you step in, you don't feel the typical hotel because it's a museum kind. The reception was at the back and the whole place looked put off. I entered the room and the aircon conditioning was very poor and the room was hot (I stayed from 29 Apr to 1 May and the outdoor weather was hot!). Honestly, I felt uncomfortable but after the initial impression set in, I began to feel the charm of the hotel. The hotel painstakingly put up ornaments and the history's of Nanyang. It wasn't like a typical commercial hotel. The room was spacious with no lack of amenities. Bed and pillows were good for sleep. They provided laundry detergent and free laundry and drying service. Breakfast was bad (please skip). The location was superb!!! In the heart of Qilou Old Street, walking distance to Clock Tower (less than 10 mins) and Century Bridge (45mins by walk and 10mins by car). Excellent foot massage (郑远元） within walking distance (less than 8mins).

Good location, good service, comfortable room, breakfast, free yacht tickets and car service. Located on the east side of Friendship Commercial Plaza, it is easy to find; convenient transportation, there are many buses and taxis, convenient food and shopping, you can walk to Qilou Old Street, Haikou Bell Tower and Haida Night Market are not far away. Unexpectedly upgraded to a room, a special surprise when entering the door, comfortable sofa, exquisite small table, large smart TV, simple and elegant decoration, and free snacks. The lighting configuration is comprehensive, there is also an induction night light at night, and the bathroom is also beautiful. The night view outside the window is beautiful, and there is no dampness even on rainy days, which is great. I was particularly satisfied before going to bed. I accidentally woke up at more than four o'clock in the morning. On the 11th floor, there was still a clear sound of vehicles driving on the road. I immediately regretted that I didn't check in earlier because I was greedy. The rooms on the other side of the corridor must not be so noisy. But in any case, the flaws do not cover the merits. This smart hotel still makes me like it. Next time I have a chance, I must have a quiet room.

Amazing Stay at Atour Hotel, Even During a Typhoon! We had an amazing stay at Atour, even though we unexpectedly encountered the Yagi Typhoon and had to extend our stay for an additional four days. We were incredibly fortunate to be staying at Atour, which maintained power, water, and internet throughout the storm. They even provided free washing and drying services, which was a huge help. Due to the typhoon, all the nearby restaurants and supermarkets were closed, but Atour went above and beyond by offering free breakfast, simple meals for lunch, dinner, and supper. Their hospitality during such a difficult time was truly exceptional. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

A pleasant hotel! Everything looks quite new. Comfortable bed (I especially liked that there is a choice between regular pillows and memory foam pillows). Good value for money (especially compared to hotels in Sanya where I am now and where hotels in this price range seem much lower quality). Friendly staff at reception. The only thing that could be better is sound insulation, in particular noise coming from outside the hotel. Even with the window closed, it felt as though it was open (what you hear is mostly traffic noise - which I got used to pretty quickly - but one evening also some loud music which annoyed me more; that stopped at 22:30 though, so not too bad after all). If I return to Haikou, I might certainly consider this hotel again.

After Sanya, I headed to Haikou and stayed at the InterContinental Haikou Seaview. The hotel is located along the scenic Binhai Road, offering stunning views of the Qiongzhou Strait. The location was perfect, with easy access to a park connector and a mall. I loved taking evening strolls here; it was so peaceful and windy, which I enjoyed. Check-in was seamless, and the staff were professional and attentive. My room was spacious and modern, with a large window offering panoramic sea views. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the toilet made getting ready and unwinding for the day luxurious! Yes, they have a bidet in the bathroom. The only downside was the weak air conditioner, so we slept with the balcony open. I also wished they provided bath salts or bath bombs to enhance the bathtub experience. Overall, this was my favorite hotel in Haikou. It’s slightly away from the main attractions, but it’s perfect for relaxation, eating, and shopping. I would definitely stay here again!
