This guesthouse is located at the highest point of Siyanjing Village (No. 36, Siyanjing Village, West Lake Scenic Area). From here, you get a breathtaking panoramic view, just like the saying 'once on the summit, all other mountains are but ant-hills'. You can reach the entrance directly by taxi or self-driving. If you let the housekeeper know you're arriving soon, someone will come to help with your luggage, and they'll even turn on the air conditioning in your room in advance for maximum comfort – a very thoughtful touch. Check-in was super quick and smooth as they had all the necessary documents. I also added the housekeeper on WeChat, so I could contact them for any issues during my stay. They even gifted me a pot of osmanthus black tea, a plate of watermelon, and some cookies, which felt like a more personal touch than a standard hotel. Upon entering the room, my first impression was how clean and tidy it was. The visually pleasing scenery outside made it even better. Lying on the soft bed, I instantly felt enveloped in happiness, my mood relaxed – a long-awaited feeling of ease! If you're hungry, there's Qiu Mo Cha Shi next door, costing around 200 yuan per person. I also noticed some chain restaurants like Grandma's Home, Zhiweiguan, and Lanzhou Lamian down the hill, so food delivery is also very convenient. For sightseeing, my first stop was Hangzhou Zoo, which was a quick walk away. Then I went to Hupao Park, just one bus stop away. These two are the closest attractions. To get to West Lake, you can walk, cycle, rent an e-bike, or take a taxi. Overall, it was a great travel experience. Guests staying here get free parking vouchers for self-driving, allowing you to exit within 15 minutes. Before leaving, I grabbed a coffee from the cafe to recharge before heading back to my 'grind' (牛马生活, a humorous way to refer to a busy, working life). Staying at this guesthouse felt a bit more special than a regular hotel. If I have the chance to visit Hangzhou again, I'd definitely choose to stay here!
