In 2021, I spent a total of 54 nights on 13 stays at the Leonardo Hotel. To mention are fast and stable WLAN, free parking, extensive breakfast buffet, good evening menu (the currywurst is especially delicious) and very friendly staff. Outstanding among many good staff is Mrs. Carmen Springmann, the manager should double her salary :-) The good location with a view of the beautiful Tiergarten and the very good price-performance ratio have made me always happy to book this hotel. If you wanted to improve something, then you should renovate the bathrooms, a nice shower would not be wrong.

Wir waren zum Familienbesuch im Raum Hannover und so bot sich dieses Hotel geradezu an und wir waren auch sehr zufrieden. Frühstück und auch Abendessen waren sehr gut und auch preislich akzeptabel. Durch den kleinen Wald im Umkreis fühlte man sich fast wie im Urlaub und man war sehr schnell mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln un Hannover, das einzige Manko in diesem Hotel, war das keine Klimaanlage vorhanden war und das bei der momentanen Hitze, aber es war auszuhalten.

The staff working on the reservation was very nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and safe. The location is not at the center of the city, but it is quiet and easy to park. Breakfast is good. We stayed in a junior suite this past weekend. I have always felt safe here in the past. Not this time! On Sunday, the supposed head of housekeeping entered our room twice claiming to be checking for housekeeping. The first time with a light knock at 9 am. I explained we would be checking out at 11 or 12. We placed a do not disturb(DND) sign on the door and went to breakfast. Upon re-entering the room, the DND was on the floor and the door closed. And there stood the same man trying to quickly enter the bathroom! At first he appeared hostile, then tried to fob it all off since the DND was on the floor. One quick look would show my daughter's carry on located on the floor right next to the door! My husband's rain jacket hung in clear sightc from the door! I found my tote was zippered in the wrong direction! We checked all our possession and the safe - it appeared all was there. If someone needs to be in your room, the door should always be OPEN! SINCE I ENTERED THE ROOM BY MYSELF, THIS INCIDENT TRIGGERED PAST CONFRONTATIONAL ISSUES!!!!! I reported the incident to the staff without my trigger issue. Was profusely apologized to. I was told this would be reported to the management who should be in touch but the only recourse is a damn survey?!?

I suppose for a 1-2 days business trip the hotel is ok, but I cannot imagine to stay there longer. The atmosphere in the hotel is outdated and needs change and renovation that’s for sure. It looks so old in a places and it smells old. When I checked in there were hairs in the bathroom so that spoke loudly to me in terms of hygiene and cleanliness. They do not offer hotel slippers so prepare a pair in your suitcase. My room did have a list for the minibar but there wasn’t actually a minibar, or a refrigerator, nothing. The people from staff, I saw , were trying to compensate and were trying to be really helpful, friendly and attentive. The minus here is that not all of them speak English, and if I couldn’t remember the basic parts of my School level German I couldn’t have made it to order even a bottle of water I suppose.

From check in, to the room, to breakfast, it was really great! The employees were all very friendly and helpful! Nice rooms. Everything clean and well maintained. Just swap the sliding door for another one. The breakfast was good. And the gentleman from the service was extremely friendly and courteous.

I have stayed here regularly visiting family since 2007 and it’s still my favorite place to stay in Hannover. I usually try to book the „apartment standard plus“ with a separate sleeping area. Since it is on the fourth floor it can get pretty hot up there in the summer since there is no AC. The location is convenient not far from the tram stop, breakfast buffet is very good (minus the fact that there is no decaf coffee), it is very clean and there are laundry facilities (for a charge). What more do you need? Would definitely recommend, especially for longer stays.
