Location is perfect at the top of the mountain, we arrived after a day of hiking and were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff - especially Qinqin who kept in touch with us and sent us weather/cloud cover/sunrise details by message. We were so impressed and pleasantly surprised by the hotel facilities - really good food (and very reasonably priced), warm and clean room, smart toilet, mountain-view from the window, warm jackets provided for watching the sunrise (we were lucky to catch a clear sky for the sunrise!). They also prepared small items of complimenary local snacks and coffees throughout our stay. There was a small performance of the traditional opera style in the evening in the main hall which was lovely (especially for my UK partner to experience!). Would highly recommend and would stay again

The hotel had a great location close to some of the most famous peaks. We stayed for a night to be able to see the sunset and sunrise and all was arranged in order to allow it in the most comfortable and convenient way, from tours planned to down jackets in the room free for use. We were upgraded during check-in for a better room and used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. On top of that we also found a voucher for the spa in the room ☺️

Good location. Good service. Also the hotel have free transportation send you to the South Gate.

I really like the pure white decoration style of the exterior of this hotel. It gives people a simple and fresh feeling. From the lobby to the rooms, every detail shows the designer's intentions. It is also the best photography spot in the Three Trees Scenic Spot📸 At the beginning, there is a huge slide. Industrial wind mixes with rural wind. It has a special flavor~ There is a large tea mountain on the back and gurgling stream in front. 🏞Garden, river view, characteristic buildings reflect each other, and the flavor is full! I thought that the room in the container might have weak facilities 🤔 Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows into the house, central air-conditioning throughout the house, comfortable bedding, clean and hygienic equipment, advanced and complete equipment, glass balcony and supporting rocking chair... 🏙At night, quietly enjoy a leisure time☕ The homestay has an outdoor swimming pool, book bar, bar, tea room, coffee bar, self-service barbecue, etc... We had a wonderful time at Yupinglou Hotel. It is a very beautiful hotel. We enjoyed everything about our stay there. The hotel rooms are really beautiful and also very clean. The staff at the hotel are all very friendly and the service is excellent. We want to thank the staff very much for their great hospitality. They also gave us a lot of recommendations about hiking routes on the mountain, which is really helpful. We will never forget the wonderful time we had at Yupinglou hotel. If we will visit Huangshan again in the future, we will definitely choose Yupinglou Hotel again.

Located a few steps from the park entrance and shuttle bus station from the high-speed railway line, it's in an excellent location. There are many shops and restaurants around, and you'll have no trouble getting breakfast items, as there are many stalls in the morning selling food to travellers heading up the mountain. The rooms are on the first floor of the building and you'll have to navigate a few 3-step stairs if you're at the furthest rooms. My room was facing the inner shopping street and I had no trouble sleeping as it was nice and quiet, one of the perks of being in a small town focused on hiking. It was clean and as shown in the photo's, with amenities as plenty of water and coffee packs provided and refreshed daily. The staff spoke little english, but checkin was without problems regardless, and they were friendly throughout. The only minor detail is that the amenities list on this site shows a self-service laundry/washing machine, but it was staff only (though they would let me use it if I really wanted to, there's no dryer though, so you'd have to stay longer than 2 days if you want to use it). If you want to visit Mount Huang, and want a convenient place to stay for maximum time on the mountain, this is a good choice!

Fantastic little little hotel with great service If you are looking for a genuine historical and unique hotel experience with super service — then this is the place for you. If you like hyper modern and fancy hotels with glass and concrete, stay away. Yujian No8 has a great location I’m Tunxi (Huangshan old city). Location is rated good because of it depends where you are going. If you want to visit the old city this is perfect. It is a little difficult to find the hotel if you are on your own, but we were met by hotel staff who helped with suitcases and directions. You can not drive in Tunxi old city so there are a few hundred meters to walk. There is a direct bus line from Huangshanbei railway station or you can easily use taxi. The location is very quiet and it feels like you are experiencing a jump in time. The staff is great. They do speak little English, but it’s easy to use translator apps on your phone/ if you have WeChat they also have their own account where it’s easy to communicate. The staff provided very useful information about the area and were very helpful, nice, friendly and professional. The hotel has spacious rooms and lovely public area. This is a very unique traditional hotel, with classic decor and design. The room was very clean with nice amenities. Even if the hotel is displaying historical design, it has modern and nice stuff in the rooms. Our room has bathtub and shower and also a small lounge. Very enjoyable. The overall experience with a super location for exploring the old city made this one of our most memorable stays. We can highly recommend Yujian No 8!

Conveniently located and within walking distance to the Huangshan North Train Station and Huangshan Passenger Bus Terminal. Hence, it is a good base to leave the luggages for a (backpacked) trip to Huangshan Mountain (Danxia Peak) and Hongcun Ancient Village (Moon Fen). It is also convenient to take Bus number 21 at the bus stop outside the Railway Station to Tunxi Old Street (about 30mins for CNY2). Good selection and nice buffet breakfast (mainly Chinese crusine).

The homestay is located not far from Huangshan Mountain, with convenient transportation and parking in the courtyard. Miss Butler was very enthusiastic and presented fruits, Huangqiao sesame cakes and other snacks. We also enthusiastically picked us up to the nearby Monkey Valley Trace Creek (free oh) to catch fish, and left us a wonderful moment when we caught fish. Because I am ready to climb Huangshan, I will explain to us the mountaineering route that suits us. I prepared mineral water, trekking poles, gloves, raincoats, and tickets purchased for us, cableway fees, to solve our worries. Down from Huangshan, the elderly and children were very tired, and the housekeeper gave us noodles very intimately, which moved us very much. The homestay has an elevator, and there is a drying table on the top floor. The clothes that are washed after drifting can be dried on the top floor, which is very convenient. The owner of the hotel has his own tea factory, and the tea museum. The housekeeper also specially takes the children to visit the place where tea is made. Although there is no tea making now, the process of cloud tea making and the tools used are also known. In the evening, I was fortunate to drink the various teas of the boss's own tea factory. The elegant boss will ”Mo ask tea” history and allusions to us, feel that our trip has been infiltrated by tea culture, with cultural connotation. Breakfast: I will ask you if you like to eat wontons or noodles, and the kitchen will be made now. All kinds of side dishes, beef patties, steamed buns, etc. are very delicious. Exquisite afternoon tea: seasonal fruit, Huangshan biscuits, refreshments.
