"This was my first trip to Shangri-La, and my friends and I had planned to visit Abuji Cuo. Conveniently, the hotel offered direct excursions there! **Amenities**: They provide L'Occitane toiletries, which felt very luxurious. **Cleanliness**: The hotel was spotless. **Setting**: I'd say it's one of the best in Shangri-La. There's a vast grassland right outside the hotel, and the crabapple blossoms were in full bloom, which was absolutely stunning! Behind the hotel, there are extensive rhododendron fields. What's more, the hotel even has lambs, deer, and peacocks! There's also a cafe located on an island. Their coffee is excellent and beautifully presented (very Instagrammable!). The second floor is perfect for photos, and there's a spacious terrace nearby. Enjoying afternoon tea there was incredibly relaxing. **Service**: The service was absolutely outstanding. They created a dedicated chat group for us where we could pre-order our meals, and the restaurant would have everything ready. If we wanted to use the private hot spring in the evening, they would go ahead of time to adjust the water temperature for us. Soaking in the hot spring under the crabapple blossoms was incredibly romantic! The next day, when we went to Abuji Cuo, an off-road vehicle picked us up directly from the hotel. They even provided a dedicated photographer and a support staff member for our trip! On the way up, our photographer-guide introduced us to the area's scenic highlights, and the vast fields of high-mountain rhododendrons were absolutely stunning! We had lunch on the mountain, for which they prepared seasonal fruits, sandwiches, and even oxygen tanks as a precaution against altitude sickness. The service was truly exceptional! It was quite windy at Abuji Cuo, but they diligently found us a sheltered spot. They also helped me take fantastic photos and even assisted us on challenging parts of the trail. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shangri-La."

"This hotel on the stunning Shangri-La grassland is excellent! It offers breakfast, has a laundry room, features automatic toilets, and boasts advanced facilities. The hotel is very clean, with great soundproofing and insulation, and has direct ventilation through scenic-view windows. The laundry facilities are top-notch and easy to use. The ratio of guest rooms to laundry machines is high, so there’s no waiting. Shangri-La itself is incredibly beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by the Napa Lake Grassland and snow-capped mountains. I recommend driving up the hotel’s internet-famous road to the halfway slope for a panoramic view of Shangri-La. With wildflowers blooming everywhere, it’s absolutely breathtaking. In previous days, I stayed in an ancient town inn. The main issue was that most rooms lacked outward-facing windows, which felt uncomfortable. Windows faced an inner courtyard, compromising privacy and making it inconvenient to open them. This is an important point to consider when choosing hotels in the ancient town, but most suffer from this problem. Also, many wooden inns have poor sound insulation—something I, as a long-term overseas resident and traveler, cannot accept. Visiting Dukezong Ancient Town takes about an hour. The owner of *Yinxiang Tianlu* recommended a place called **Bottomless Lake**. It’s incredibly beautiful, reminiscent of Switzerland, and even prettier than Pudacuo National Park. Best of all, it’s free (no entrance fee), though you’ll need to rent a car for a one-way 2-hour drive. This hidden gem is truly fantastic. This hotel is highly recommendable to friends!"

"I've never embarked on such a thrilling journey. The hotel is spectacularly perched on the side of the Jinsha River Grand Canyon, halfway up the mountain, with a sheer cliff face on one side and the deep canyon on the other. When booking, I honestly didn't pay much attention to the exact location. I simply looked for a hotel near Tiger Leaping Gorge, as we planned to visit it the next day. But as we navigated there in the afternoon, driving up the mountainside, even my husband, a very experienced driver, started to get nervous. The road was incredibly steep – perhaps a 40-50 degree incline? – and what made it truly terrifying was that on one side was the sheer drop into the Jinsha River Grand Canyon, with the powerful river rushing below. It was an extreme test of nerve. I was so scared I couldn't utter a word, my mind racing with thoughts of unfinished business. When we finally reached the hotel, perched precariously on the mountain, we met other guests who confessed they were too scared to drive back down and needed the hotel owner to take them. Despite the adventurous journey to get there, the hotel's scenery is absolutely unparalleled. It truly embodies the saying, 'the most spectacular views are found in the most treacherous peaks.' This hotel has deep roots in the ancient Tea Horse Road. It's situated in a pivotal location along the Tea Horse Road, attracting many international trekkers and hikers. The owner himself is an avid hiking enthusiast. It was such an unforgettable experience that my husband said he wants to make a special trip back. Next time, with this experience under our belts, we'd definitely park our car at the foot of the mountain and have the hotel pick us up. Alternatively, you could arrange for the hotel to drive your car up for you. Of course, if you're an adventure-seeker, you might enjoy the challenge! Haha."

"The hotel is located next to the Haba Snow Mountain Observation Deck on the East Ring Line. It is very convenient to drive by yourself, and there is a super large parking space. The hotel room faces the main peak of Haba Snow Mountain, without any obstructions, and has an excellent location. The weather was clear on the morning of the check-in day. You can lie on the bed and watch the sunrise on the Golden Mountain by opening the curtains. It is so beautiful. The room is voice-controlled throughout the house, which is very convenient and the experience is very good. In the afternoon, you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the exquisite afternoon tea quietly while looking at the snow-capped mountains. It is very comfortable. You can also go to the public dining bar upstairs, which is also super beautiful. The butler's service is very considerate. "It was really great. It was my first time to experience camping. It was really cold in Shangri-La Haba Snow Mountain in November, but it was really great to sit in the camp and look at the Haba Snow Mountain opposite. It is very warm. If there are many people coming together, you can sing by the bonfire at night. The foot of the snow mountain is so beautiful. The owner and the proprietress of the B&B are very nice. They also raised a very well-behaved and enthusiastic German Shepherd. They can guard the house at night and ask for food when eating. Hahaha, there is also a coffee shop at the foot of the mountain, which is also super good. If the weather is good, three or two people will get together in the coffee shop at night to chat about life and look at the starry sky. It is beautiful. It happened to rain when I came to Haba Snow Mountain this time, so I didn’t see Haba Snow Mountain, but camping on rainy days has a different flavor. "Laoyaoshan is a beautiful homestay. Needless to say, the environment is beautiful. The snow-capped mountains are unobstructed. You can have dinner with the sunset glow of Yulong Snow Mountain. The surrounding snow-capped mountains are also very photogenic. You can also hike. The homestay lady also upgraded the room type for free, and you can see the snow-capped mountains and the starry sky in the room.
