"The hotel is fantastic! Opening the window reveals a breathtaking view of snow-capped mountains, and its location is perfect for enjoying the snowy scenery. They even provide oxygen and humidifiers, which is a thoughtful touch. The room also has underfloor heating, so it's never cold. All the towels are disposable, and there are even disposable toilet seat covers. The landlady is incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Overall, I had a great experience, though I was a bit disappointed not to see the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' due to the cloudy weather this time. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit!"

"Fantastic! This B&B is beautifully decorated, grand yet cozy. The owner and staff are all incredibly welcoming. The rooms are spacious, with underfloor heating and oxygen machines. From the French windows, you can directly see the Meili Snow Mountain. The rooftop has plenty of phone holders for guests to use, which is a nice touch. There's roadside parking right by the entrance. The afternoon tea has a great variety, and they even deliver late-night snacks to your room. Highly recommend! Today's the 24th, and we successfully witnessed the 'Sunlight shining on Golden Mountain' phenomenon!"

"Overall, my experience at Deqin Guan Jing Tian Tang Grand Hotel was good. The room was basic but clean. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary hot milk and snacks, which were great for a late-night bite. However, the breakfast selection was limited and the taste was quite ordinary, nothing special.
It's worth noting that the room's diffused oxygen supply wasn't very effective, so it might not be enough for those sensitive to altitude sickness; you'd still need your own oxygen tank. On the plus side, the hotel's location offers convenient access to the snow-capped mountains, which is a definite advantage."

"we arrived late and exhausted. the staff was very well welcoming, pleasant and caring. they contract us a day before for all the arrangement and even a lovely gesture of a strawberry cake for our anniversary. the bar was wonderful with comfort atmosphere. we woke up early (the hotel will provide a forecast too) for the sunrise view at the bar, and there is even a thoughtful staff there to prepare us warm teas for the cooling morning. we went back to rest as not well after the viewing, missed our bfast but got the staff to help us on checkout. it was pleasant staying there but unfortunately we didnt get to see the beautiful sunrise due to the heavy frost."

It's pet-friendly and very close to the Feilai Temple viewpoint, just a 10-minute walk. The owner is very warm-hearted. The highland barley pancake for breakfast was delicious. There's a viewing balcony, but you can't see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' from there; you have to go to the viewpoint for that. Be sure to try the roasted yak skewers by the road near the snow mountain, they're really good!"

"Newly renovated hotel, the room still has a taste of decoration, the room can see the corner of the snow mountain, the price is reasonable, there is no parking space at the door, parked in the parking lot, the boss will reimburse, I have seen it for two days, Meili Snow Mountain! , Great, the door is a big slope, if you drag your luggage, you have to walk slowly, and you will have to eat when you go out. It's quite convenient, a little walk opposite is the observation deck."

"Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here.
The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve.
Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China.
The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down.
I would not hesitate to stay again."

"Five stars all around! Let me tell you why I highly recommend this hotel.
We were incredibly lucky to see the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' (Rizhao Jinshan) on our very first day. Before arriving, we had access to a dedicated concierge group chat, which was super helpful. As we were driving, having a parking lot with charging facilities was a huge plus.
The guesthouse's location is perfect; you can see the Rizhao Jinshan directly from there. Plus, there's a viewing platform and a small bar on the fifth floor, which is great for photos. You honestly get amazing views right from the hotel, so there's no need to go to the viewing platforms within the scenic area.
The staff were wonderful – very patient and attentive. The hotel also offers a paid photography service, but there's no pressure to use it.
They also provide a complimentary turndown dessert, and the breakfast is a convenient set meal plus buffet style. To top it all off, they even upgraded our room, which we loved! Definitely book this place without hesitation!"

A beautiful, design-focused hotel offering panoramic views of Meili Snow Mountain from the room’s balcony. The bathroom is a bit small in the room. But I really enjoyed having hotpot dinner at their restaurant while taking in the mountain views. The observatory deck is right across the hotel.

Pricey but everything is high quality down to the free mini bar drinks. The design is highly beautiful and thoughtful. Its restaurant was one of the best meals I had in Yunnan, snd breakfast was good as well. It is only 18 rooms giving the hotel a very relaxed atmosphere. Location is quite remote, which is great in that case. I have seen others in the area and was more than happy with this part to look at the mountains. All is founded in very helpful staff that went the extra mile. The windows could be cleaned better to give one room for improvement 😉

The service is super nice, they have pick up service from Deqin tunnel to the hotel. Hosts are friendly who ask whether you need help often. The location is sick, you can directly see the snow mountain from the balcony. That would save loads of energy going out and back. Amenities are clean, making us feel comfortable staying. One point to note, their food is so nice, not expecting to have these qualitied meals up the hill.

Just to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain. Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather. The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time. One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day. The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal. The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity! Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure. One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!

I stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing experience. The room provides a great view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows and everything in the room, including the bed, chairs, clothes rack and bathroom, are well-maintained and clean. The room provides a sense of luxury and cleanliness during your getaway to this village. The location is excellent, as you are one of the first, if not the first accommodation facing the mountains, so the view is excellent. It is in a great location for exploring upper yubeng and the glacier lake. What made our stay unforgettable was the amazing service we received by the owner and staff whilst we stayed here. The lady provided us with everything we needed to know during our stay in yubeng, including sunrise times, and answered any and every question we had about yubeng as a whole. They provided an atmosphere that was very welcoming and it really does feel like I was invited to stay at their home. They provided free water and free laundry service, as well as free use of hiking poles for our hikes. The breakfast included was excellent and was different for each day we stayed, and they provide you with a free lunch pack to take on your hike, which was a nice gesture which we appreciated. Additionally, everyone here speaks both mandarin and cantonese, so if you're travelling from Guangdong or Hong Kong and would like to feel at home, this is the perfect place to be. Overall, this was an amazing accommodation to stay at due to the amazing service, location and facilities and the owner and her family really do treat you like family. I would highly recommend staying here, and if I ever come back to yubeng, I will definitely stay here again!
