"This hotel is great for location and value for you money. We stayed here more than 3 weeks and enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The room is small. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom has soap and shampoo and hot water is good. The free breakfast is okay, but you can purchase a full breakfast if you wish. The laundry service is reasonable. You can also buy bus tickets here too. Everything is in walking distance, food night market, Amazon café, Mini C supermarket, restaurants and ATMs. I highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely stay here again when in Laos 🇱🇦"

"We had a wonderful experience at the Riverside Hotel. The check-in process was very smooth and efficient, and the staff were extremely friendly from the moment we arrived. They kindly helped us with our luggage, which made everything even more comfortable. The room was modern, spotless, and very well maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, and we slept very well during our stay. Breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety of Western, Lao, and other Asian dishes. There was something for everyone, and everything was fresh and delicious. We also really appreciated the hotel’s location, conveniently situated near the night market, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area. Highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again!"

"I had a really pleasant stay overall and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for the value. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The woman at reception was so kind and made check-in feel easy and comfortable, which I really appreciated after traveling. The property itself is beautiful—the pool area is a standout. It’s well-designed, relaxing, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the stay. The room was also a great size, with plenty of space to feel comfortable without feeling cramped. Also it was an 8 -12 minute ride to the airport (depending on the time of day) which made it super easy to get to. There are also a lot of good food options nearby. I found myself going back to one restaurant, The White Elephant, multiple times—it had a great vibe, good music, food, and drinks. Breakfast was included at the hotel and had a mix of Asian and Western options—things like eggs, toast, fruit, and juices. It was simple but did the job. If you're someone looking for a more customizable or traditional Western breakfast (like bacon, made-to-order eggs, etc.), you might want to go out, but I found it perfectly sufficient. One morning they even had a pasta dish that was surprisingly delicious. The only area for improvement would be cleanliness. The shower door looked like it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in a while, and I noticed some staining on the mattress pad under the sheets. It didn’t ruin my stay, but it’s something that could easily be improved and would make a big difference. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. The staff, the pool, and the location made it a great experience, and I would absolutely consider staying again."

"We are a family of 3 staying in 1 room and had a great time. The service was impeccable, staff were always polite, helpful, willing to help and always went over the top for us. Special shout out to Aiy, and the duty supervisor whom we didn't get the name of. The restaurant service at Origin was amazing. We want to give a special mention to May, Kitty and Zaiy who've helped us with organizing vegetarian food and going & beyond to make us feel so special! 10/10 would recommend to those looking for a centrally located hotel and are keen to indulge themselves a bit."

"I recently stayed at the Family Boutique Hotel in Vientiane, and I was genuinely impressed. The location is fantastic—right near the night market and all the popular night food spots, so you can just stroll over in a few minutes. If you need to exchange money or run quick errands, everything is within walking distance as well. Overall, it’s a great spot to stay if you want convenience and a nice, comfortable atmosphere in the heart of Vientiane."

"Good hotel. Rooms are comfortable. Air conditioner efficient and quiet. Has smart TV with YouTube which was surprising at this price range. There are a lot of mosquitos but that is not specific to the hotel. The room cleaning was a little inconsistent but reception helped out with that. Breakfast surprisingly good! Free water, coffee, tea all day. Drinks fridge with chilled beverages for sale. Nice patio area. Location about 15-20mins walk, 5mins car from centre"

"I had an enjoyable stay here, considering I was very unwell. Room was exceptionally clean (cleaner than some i’ve stayed in back home in Australia), newly renovated bathroom is small BUT perfectly enough My only complaint about my room (this may not apply to other rooms), is the water pressure was SO HIGH. This made the spray gun next to the toilet almost impossible to use without it being painful. There would be about a 5-6 second time frame where it would lose most pressure and be usable, but then shoot back to the usual pressure. The shower also had pressure and temperature issues, every 30 seconds or so it would lose pressure and temperature, and then shoot back up way beyond the set temperature. It was pretty frustrating!"

"This is a high-standard chain hotel. I regularly travel to Vientiane, so I’m quite familiar with the common challenges faced by large hotels here—especially when it comes to staff quality, which often doesn’t match the standards of big hotels in other countries. However, this hotel is making a noticeable effort to address that issue. While it’s not perfect yet, you can still clearly feel the luxury and overall standard of the property. In terms of cleanliness, aesthetics, and organization, there’s nothing to complain about. The hotel maintains a solid 5-star standard. The property feels very new, and it comes with modern technology—USB-C ports and wireless charging are available in the rooms. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Similar to the staffing issue, many large hotels here tend to struggle with maintaining consistent food quality. But here, everything passes—taste, ingredients, and variety are all on point. It feels comparable to staying at Holiday Inn properties in Thailand, which are known for their high standards."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money. Firstly, they provide a complimentary, private airport transfer service – not a large shuttle bus, but a clean and brand new 5-seater car, just for you. Secondly, the hotel environment is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the bed, which is incredibly cozy. Thirdly, the breakfast spread is incredibly rich, offering a wide variety of Chinese, Japanese, Western, Thai, and local specialties. Most importantly, the price is unbeatable; the value for money is outstanding. The only minor drawback is the lack of Chinese-speaking staff. It would be even better if they could improve this in the future by having Chinese-speaking front desk personnel."
