"We stayed for one day. The breakfast was modest, but you probably won't go hungry. A huge downside was that the sheets weren't changed. I pointed out the dirt and hair on the bedsheet, and the staff member just said, 'So what?' She then brought another dirty sheet. It took three attempts to get a clean one, which was horrible. The toilet and sink were dirty, and people clearly smoke in the room, so there was a strong odor. There was a safe in the room, but no hair conditioner, cotton buds, or tissues. Maybe we've been spoiled by other 4-star hotels, but there was absolutely nothing here... They also put us next to a room undergoing major renovations, so there was a loud banging noise starting at 8 AM. Luckily, we had an extra three hours and were already heading out. I definitely wouldn't come back here. On the plus side, it's about a 15-minute walk to the train station."

"The riad proved to be a true oasis amid the bustling streets of the Medina. It offers a wonderful blend of Moroccan flair, comfort, and warm hospitality. The staff was attentive and caring, always helpful with recommendations and creating a homey feel. It wasn't just a hotel, but a part of the trip itself and the atmosphere of Morocco. I'm left with the warmest memories and a strong desire to return again."

"There was not body wash in the bathroom for the first night we stayed, so we could only use hand soap for bathing after our workout at midnight. We informed the front desk staff the next morning about this and he promised to follow up. However, the body wash bottle was still empty when we returned hotel in afternoon. We again asked the cleansing lady to follow up and she said ‘OK’ to us, unfortunately the result was the same when we returned the room after dinner. I believe good services to the guests by a world class hotel is significant, so recurrence of such kind of matter should be avoided. Thanks."

"Hôtel excellent au cœur de la médina mais non accessible en taxi ce qui veut dire qu’il faut marcher 5 min à pied pour y arriver en passant par un quartier qui craint assez. Sinon l’hôtel en lui-même est incroyable, très joli, une décoration berbère qui en met plein les yeux et le personnel est très accueillant. Je recommande"

"The hotel’s location is excellent as it is walking distance to most of the tourist attractions in Marrakech. Has a huge swimming pool where you can enjoy and relax. However, service is very very poor. On the night that I arrived I requested a slippers by calling the reception, as there were no slippers in the room, but none came. Again the next day I requested again at the front desk and the staff promised to send it to my room, but nothing came. Once again on the 3rd day, I requested the same, as usual nothing came. Three different personnel at the front desk promised to send the slippers to my room but never keep their promise. So much bad service. Another issue with the hotel is the aircon system, it was not functioning during my stay. Only fan is working and it was hot inside the room. And I complained at the front desk and the staff said that the airconditiong were disabled as it still winter or spring season. I tried to open the window and door to the balcony to let cold air inside but unfortunately the road noise was terrible, so I have to close it. Had a really bad experience with Novotel Marrakech."

"Highly recommend any travellers to Marrakesh to stay in this raid! It is walking distance to most of the attractions and the hospitality from this raid has been amazing! Staffs were very friendly and helpful too. The breakfast provided was amazing too! What you see in other reviews with regards to the mouldy bathrooms, I personally feel that it’s all part of the aesthetic of the raid. Apart from that, we loved our room in this raid as it was really clean and cosy!"

"I stayed at the Grand Mogador Menara & Spa on January 30–31, 2026, for a quick overnight escape in Marrakech. The hotel's elegant Moroccan decor and spacious, clean room immediately impressed me—comfortable bed, modern amenities, and a peaceful atmosphere after a day out. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially at reception and during check-in/out"

"We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel as a whole, including the rooms, is quite run down. The photos during booking are a bit different from reality… The beds are comfortable, and while the room is a bit small, it's bearable. The bathroom is large, BUT the plumbing is poor, and the water pressure is very low at any time of day. The breakfast is a buffet, and it's not bad."

"The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! They tried to solve any problems they had, thank you. The apartment was spacious and clean, odor-free, and the bed was comfortable. The location was quite convenient: a 20-minute walk to the train station and the medina, 10 minutes to the Majorelle Garden, and there's a grocery store next door. Nearby is a cemetery, a prison, and a construction site 😂 That's where the positives end. There were plenty of negatives. At first, we were greeted by a broken lock on the door, and we couldn't open it. On the second day, we were offered a room change; it turned out to be basically the same, but without a window in the bedroom, so we stayed in the first room and learned to open the door ourselves. The apartment had poor lighting in the living room and bedroom, making it dark. There were just a single bulb hanging from a cord with a cold light, and there were no bedside lamps like in the photo, making it very uncomfortable. The bathroom is spacious, but the sink (or maybe the faucet) was leaking, creating a puddle under the sink. The shower is missing a curtain, and there's a gap between the floor and the partition—as a result, there's a lot of water on the floor after showering. Toilet paper, soap, and shower gel are available, but there are no trash bags anywhere. There's a rag in the kitchen and dishwashing detergent missing. On the second day, the internet stopped working for a day. It then worked again, but it was extremely unstable on the third floor. This is important for tourists! Overall, the entire apartment feels old, tired, and in need of a proper renovation, not the ”good enough” look it has now. On my last night, at four in the morning, I was awakened by noise: my bedroom window overlooked the terrace of the neighboring room. The door was open, and I could see many men with naked women. I knocked on their door, and they fell silent, but they didn't open the door. But soon, the noise resumed. I contacted the administrator via WhatsApp, but received no response or even an apology after reading my message. However, immediately afterward, the neighbors closed the balcony, and half an hour later the women left. It became quiet. Draw your own conclusions. I understand this isn't an expensive hotel, and I didn't expect five-star service. But there are basic requirements that should be met. Therefore, I don't recommend this hotel, especially for longer than a night."
