Club Med Kabira Ishigaki
4.6/545 Reviews
I was very happy to stay at Club Med in Ishigaki Island for four nights! The food is rich, and you can try different flavors of food every meal. The village is full of activities, you can go out for a tour, you can also do yoga in the village, play table tennis, do manual, snorkeling, boating, wind surfing, beach sports, if you have a Chinese-speaking GO, it is even better! The entertainment at night is also very colorful, with different performances and dances. Special thanks to the friendly and welcoming Mapela, Leo, Chacha, Makina! I will go to Club Med again!
Lulaliya
4.4/55 Reviews
The first thing that stands out about Lulaliya is its proximity to Ishigaki’s famous Kabira Bay: it’s less than a five minutes’ walk from the landmark, and that alone makes it worthwhile to book. However, it offers so much more! I stayed three nights with a friend, and we found that it was a perfect place to kick up our heels while staying on Ishigaki. The rooms are cozy and well-furnished, and have everything you might want. On the first floor, there is a spacious café/eating area. Here, you can enjoy the house breakfast (for an extra fee), or even buy breakfast from another place (the nearby bakery, for instance) and bring it back. You can also use it in the evening as a lounge if you’d like to hang out, but don’t want to stay in your room. My friend and I ate birthday cake there! Hot water for tea/coffee and cold water for drinking are available around the clock. The proprietor, Aya, is very friendly, has excellent English, and can help you book any tours you may want. She booked us a wonderful all-day snorkeling/kayaking tour, and helped us shape our days on the island. She was a delight to talk to, and could help us hammer out our plans at the drop of a hat. She’ll introduce you to the nearby restaurants and their hours, which is good—every day, there’s at least one place that’s closed, so it’s good to be careful of. The hotel is also very close to the bus stop, which is another bonus: Ishigaki doesn’t have too many buses, but the Kabira Bay hub is one of the ones where more of them come and go from. We found Lulaliya a great base of operations, and I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Ishigaki Seaside Hotel

We stayed for six nights on a family vacation with a child less than 2 years old. The ocean views from our 5th floor room were outstanding. The summer clouds in the sky reflected the sunset, to make for some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The ocean swimming area is protected with a net to keep out dangerous aquatic life. The sea water is generally calm enough to let the little one swim with floaties, and the pool was clean and easily accessible. The room itself was nice, not the greatest shower/ bathroom but good for the price and area. The breakfast was decent but the dinner, while still served in the same cafeteria area was fantastic. Extremely high quality, and the sunset view was included. All in all it was an excellent stay. I'll review the marine house tours and renting area separately, because that wasn't nearly as good, but the hotel itself was just great (for it's price, and what it offers).
Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel & Villas

Nice and modern hotel with big rooms with two seperate (did not find one big bed) beds, big shower room, nespresso coffe, air condition but with uncomfortable quilts in the beds. You got 1000 JPY to buy for at the hotel area if you didnt want cleaning, nice environmental aspect. We stayed here in the first week of jan. The bech was really nice, about 20-22 degrees in the ocean and 23 in the air and very nice staff at the Beach station that offered beach watch/guard and several different ocean activities. The sunset was beautiful and the ocean water so clean. Good sun beds. Free shuttle bus from airport and about 1.500 JPY, 20 min, taxi ride to the small city of Ishigaki. The food was really nice, both breakfast and dinner buffet. The dinner buffet was somewhat expensive. 5500 JPY. Generally very friendly staff and plenty of staff working there The bad aspects that lowers the overall grading down to almost 3/5 was that the pool area and the pool bar was closed even though the weather was nice. Also, 3 out of 5 restaurants was closed giving less options for eating! This was low season, but not reason enough for closing the pool area. The experience would have been so much better with open pool and pool bar. We could get late check out but to a price of 2000 JPY per hour (!), you might have thought that could have been free because of the low season and the low amount of guests. All over the hotel the english translations was limited and another facilty you thought should have existed but didnt was training facilities. Overall a nice place on a really nice location with some important service aspects to improve.
Nagura Village

Stayed at the condominium or Nago village for 3 days to enjoy the remote island. I was able to spend the first half of Ishigaki Island, which was very relaxing. Because it is made by the 2 room and 1 building, you can spend it without worrying about the surroundings. The cherry blossom room is a calm ethnic atmosphere. The splendid beam of the ceiling is an old private house, and you can relax. The cherry blossom bath is perfect for tightening the sunburned skin with cold water with a jacuzzi. The toilet was a washlet. Is it a part-time job, a young man was doing a miscellaneous job with color 々, but everyone greeted me with a smile and kindly answered my questions It was a good atmosphere. Is employee education good? The meal is fixed and the volume is good. Is the young boy not enough? Coffee and juice are free to drink. The sink is small, but there are microwave ovens and electric stoves, and it is enough for short stays. If it is the time of the recent Smapho personal, there may be few outlets. I recommend bringing three mouth tap. At the night of the night, the starry sky is appreciated at the observatory (dried stand?) on the front roof. Also, there are many cute gecko on the outer wall of the room. It sounds cute all night with ”kekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekekeke You can come into the room and welcome you. There is no convenience store, no vending machine, and the store is not within 10 minutes by car. It would be hard to have a car rental. (There is a vending machine only for soft drinks) There are many tourist spots such as Ampal, Yaeyama, Ishigaki limestone cave, and so on. Merritt is very close, but the Naizo Bay in front of you is bathing, It is not suitable for sch norkelling, so I thought it was necessary to weave it in the planning. I wrote color 々, but it became one of the inn I wanted to go again.
