It is a good hotel. The reviews of the place are legit. The hotel staff are helpful and extremely polite. We had a good experience overall with clean rooms, great shower and water pressure. Well, what can I say? This is an absolutely amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived we were transported back in time to an Agatha Christie novel! Such is the opulence of this amazing hotel. Situated in a lively street, not far from the very heart of this wonderful city, surrounded by architectural and historical delights – this hotel cannot fail to engender a feeling of opulence when one arrives at the portico. Entering this magnificent facade one is greeted by amazing staff members – all of whom are very knowledgeable in the history of the city and also very polite and helpful. Everyone spoke perfect English. The rooms are both interesting and comfortable. Ours had a very high ceiling with a plethora of architectural detail. The bed was extremely comfortable! The breakfast was absolutely stupendous – silver service attentiveness at every turn. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough! If you are coming to Istanbul then this is the place to be. There is just one downside – the spiral staircase that transports guess to the elevated plateau above the chandelier lit dining area isn’t really suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Other than that enjoy.

We visited last year, wow We returned to Istanbul this year with family and stayed at the Regie Ottoman. From arriving from the airport the staff were brilliant, very attentive, checked in, they told us about the building, even gave us complimentary ”sherbet” The hotel is beautiful, very central on a quiet street, definitely recommend this hotel, it also has a lift and a terrace on 3rd floor, a sauna and a gym. 10 min walk to the spice market, 10 min walk to the river, 20 mins to the blue mosque The service was faultless, rooms cleaned daily, fresh towels and toiletries The staff, very helpful, and attentive, nothing was a bother We had breakfast in the hotel and lunch one day, all superb, great cheese burger We are going to visit Istanbul again and we will be re booking this hotel

There are more pros than cons, but there are cons. The hotel is composed of a number of independent houses, located on a public street, i.e., to go from one room to another or to the reception/restaurant, you have to go out to the street and go into another building. It is not cozy at all. The hotel is located at a stone's throw from the Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sofia Mosque, the Blue Mosque and the Water Cistern. You walk less than 3 minutes to get to any of them. On the other hand, amid Istanbul’s traffic, the worst I have ever seen in my life, the traffic near the hotel is the worst of the worst. Very easy to get to the places I mentioned, a nightmare to get in and out of an extremely bad location traffic wise to the generally very bad traffic elsewhere in town. Rooms are decorated in Turkish style, spacious and modern. All convenience you would expect from an hotel of this category are available. Were it not for the location, it would not have been the best choice in my opinion.

Arrived last Friday evening, nice welcome, was informed I had to pay for my room, I had pre-paid, which on inspection, it was agreed I didn't have to pay again.... Dinner on Friday night was exquisite, fabulous service, amazing food, expensive but worth it, the restaurant and rooftop bar are independent of the hotel. Saturday morning, went for a lovely breakfast, back to the room and realised my room door did not lock, informed reception, and a gentleman arrived shortly afterward to check the door. Firstly he said it was my key card that was at fault. When I asked if I could show him the issue, he rolled his eyes and said no. When he did allow me to demonstrate, he walked away from me saying it was technical. I had to call after him to see if it would be fixed, he did not turn around but walking away said, ten minutes. the door was fixed eventually but the whole episode took around an hour. Before I left the hotel (11:20am) I dropped a dress at reception to be pressed. I got back to the hotel just before 9pm, went to my room, no dress, down at reception i asked where it was, the gentleman on reception called the laundry service, and at the end of the call, I had to ask what was happening. I was told laundry would call him back. He then asked what I had left, colour etc. so it could have been in the laundry in a sister hotel, I would get it on Sunday. I explained I was leaving on Sunday and needed the dress now, if it hadn't been ironed yet, to just return it to me.

I’ve come here for a holiday and it’s been absolutely amazing! We came from London and the staff have been so welcoming towards me and my family, the staff have helped and been so kind towards us. The hotel photos look exactly like it does online and it is exactly the same and better, the hotel looks amazing on the exterior and interior. I would definitely recommend this hotel, the rooms are cleaned by the cleaner daily at a constant time and are left so nice. When coming the rooms are beatiful and are very well kept as well as the lobby in the hotel. All staff spoke English which was extremely helpful as it was easy to communicate, the staff including Kamuran, Emin as well as Ozan helped us get around the area and made the movement around the area easier for us. The hotel is placed around many restaurants and tourists attractions which can be accessible just by a walk these include the Grand Bazar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and more. The area is close by to a local pharmacy as well as supermarket to purchase your needs and wants. The area is also accessible to many shops for dupes and clothes and accessories. There is a train station around the area which can be used to go to different areas of Istanbul, for foreigners there are familiar restaurants like McDonalds, Subway and BugerKing for anyone who has children who are picky eaters or for anyone in general who wants some familiar food on their holiday however I will recommend trying the foods around the hotel. Hotel booked via ***********. for 5 nights paid 750 quid. Bargain. Hitel was in contact with me via WhatsApp before the trip to.istanbul. Very helpful staff. They arranged my airport transfers needed big van as had a holiday to dubai after istanbul and a lot of luggage with us and 6 of us. Breakfast was no existant, nothing is like the usual breakfast food, but I heard it's the same in all.hotels even the more expensive ones. We had a family two bedroom room. Two bathrooms. Three beds in one room and a double in ours. As we had a lot of luggage, the room became very cramped. 6 suitcases and 5 cabin bags. Showers were good. The toilets were good. Sink was dodgy tap moving about. Lighting was good. Although started flashing after day 3. Location is perfect amongst the high-end hotels, 10 mins walk to grand bazaar and blue mosque and 5 mins to hagi Sofia and the basilica cistern on the same road as hotel. 7 mins walk to.gulhane train doen hill (up.on way back) . Station and I didn't realise, but it's also close to sultanahment Tram Station just and to walk through Side Street. (Flat walk). Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to others maybe better with smaller family than ours. For what we paid, this hotel was excellent.
