Hotels near Istanbul University Institute of Marine Sciences and Management in Istanbul

My friend and I were staying at Mount Ararat Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Even though we barely stayed in our room, the room had everything what we needed after a long day outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and so was the bathroom. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and during the evening the neighbourhood became very lively with locals and tourists. We were happy that after a tiring day we could grab some food and drinks with our hotel in the close proximity. On our last evening Saleh helped us arranging the transport to the airport which was top-notch! On the other hand, we had an arrangement with breakfast included and it was slightly disappointing. It was buffet with various choices of food and drinks but my friend and I are a little bit fussy. We preferred to grab something on our way to the city centre. It is not a deal breaker though. All in all, good value for money. We were satisfied about our choice and would definitely come back.

It's a nice looking hotel, very clean with comfortable beds. There is daily cleaning free of charge. They have a fan and heating but not air conditioner but it was good for me because I stayed here during autumn time. No kettle inside the room but you can request hot water at the reception or use the kettle in the kitchen area at -1 floor. They have a laundry room, have to pay 20TL at the reception counter, they will give you detergent as well. The only issue with me was the thin walls, i could hear the neighbors snore loudly 😅 In terms of location, there are nice restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a small-medium sized mall nearby which is good. Bus stop is 3 minutes walking distance, but no metro station that is walking distance. Also no tourist attraction nearby annd it's quite far from taksim, but it was convenient for me to go places woth public transport. For the price it's worth it.

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

If I am ever back to Istanbul, this is the place I would like to stay in again! The location is excellent, close to all the historic places, 5 minutes walking to Aya Sofia, the same distance to reach the Galata Bridge to get to Karakoy. The street the hotel is situated on is full of attractions and is very good to stay and walk by. A lot of restaurants, stores, bakeries, cafes, coffee shops, all you want and need is around this hotel. The room was great, clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Delicious breakfast every morning! The Red River Pub downstairs is the place to go to and enjoy! And the most valuable asset of this hotel is its staff! Helpful, caring and always responsive. Yunis and Yugmur, you are the best! The morning buffet guys and ladies, the restaurant waiters are very nice and friendly. Thank you, guys, for your hospitality and all your efforts to make my stay unforgettable!

Great hotel in an excellent location. Concierge was very helpful in providing information about what to do and where to eat around town.

The hotel is small, but the level of service was fantastic. The the staff all spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. The room where clean, We had a balcony room with a lovely view of the street. The breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast. We enjoyed it. Specially the melon, feta and the cheese borek. It’s a few minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the Arasta bazaar and the Sultan Ahmet Park. I would book this hotel again.

The hotel location and accessibility to the old town are enormous. But the noise from the hallway is not soundproof at all. And the hotel staff didn't solve the request to call a taxi, so I waited for an hour and solved the transportation by myself.

There was so much good about this motel! Neat place!! The room was very cozy and VERY small! No big deal at all. The bed had a nice, hard mattress (which I love) and comfy pillows. The shower had plenty of hot water and strong water pressure. The maid service was nothing short of outstanding. Very friendly and excellent at keeping the room neat and tidy. The room temp was easy to regulate. The breakfast had a great variety of choices. There is something here for anyone's taste. Lots of great breads and jams, too. Loved everything about this place. The front desk could not have been more helpful. They were friendly and enjoyed engaging in conversation. This hotel is close to the tram and, of course, the shopping options are innumerable. Highly recommended!!

I stayed here in February 2020 for 4 nights together with a friend. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the nearest sightseeing places located in the historic part of the city. Even nearer to the hotel there are groceryshops, bars, parks and restaurants. Keeping in mind the little money you pay for your stay, you can't really complain. Eventhough, I'd like to see some changes. Since the bathroom is really small, the whole bathroom actually is the shower. Everything gets wet, so there's not really a good place to leave your towel and cloths which you obviously want to keep dry. Maybe a few hooks or hanging baskets will be a good addition. There was 1 hook though, but it was very small and broken. (see picture of toilet, there a small cabinet next so the width is about 1,20 M en the same goes for the depth. The shower is on the right wall, infront of the cabinet) It also takes a very long time for the bathroom to dry. The water isn't stopped bij a small shower edge or something and theres nothing to wipe the water with, which left us with only one option: Shower in the evenings and leave the window in the bathroom open so it will be dry by the time it's morning. Not idealic at all, considering we where staying here during the winter. Also we had to share a socket during the night to charge our phones. It would be great if there were more of them. These are all small 'complaints' so it's not too bad. Especially for the money you pay. There's one thing left I'd like to warn you for: the sounds. The hotel is very noisy. You can hear other people very well and unfortunatly we had some people staying in the hotel that didn't take this into account. Because of the noisyness, you'll also be able to hear the mosques very loudly in the early mornings, so if you don't want to, bring some earplugs. Despite of the few negatives, I myself would stay here again and so would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap hotel near the old city centre.

A beautiful atmospheric hotel in the center of Istanbul. The staff is friendly and will greet you right away. The aroma in the hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean, comfortable, with air conditioning. Breakfast... it's a blast, you go up to the 6th floor and enjoy all of Istanbul, with a delicious cup of coffee. The food is very tasty, everything is always there, and the waiters can bring you drinks. We really liked the hotel, if you want a beautiful, atmospheric relaxation in the city center, then choose Galata By Boss❤️
