Each room is equipped with an oxygen concentrator, so those concerned about altitude sickness can book with complete peace of mind. A little oxygen at night can really help prevent headaches. The bathrooms are fully stocked with disposable toiletries, and the hot water is instant with excellent pressure – perfect for a refreshing shower after a long day of exploring. They even offer self-service laundry facilities, which is a huge convenience. While the facilities are indeed top-notch, truly living up to its 'zero negative reviews' reputation, what truly sets this guesthouse apart are the incredible hosts, the owner and his wife. Even if you haven't planned your itinerary, fear not – the landlady will meticulously arrange everything for you. She's not only an amazing cook, providing delicious meals from morning till night, but she even prepares sunflower seeds for you to feed the local squirrels! She also offers excellent recommendations for unique local restaurants, leaving you spoiled for choice. Tashi, the guesthouse's affiliated driver, was equally fantastic. He effortlessly hauled our two heavy suitcases, even at this altitude, and happily sped off, haha! All transportation costs are transparently priced with no hidden fees, so you can absolutely trust them. I really hit it off with the landlady; our conversations were always delightful. She's truly as beautiful as she is kind-hearted. Thanks to her comprehensive support, my Shangri-La trip was exceptionally smooth. My only minor regret is that I didn't get to witness the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' this time around – but that just gives me a perfect excuse to visit again! To anyone reading this review, I wholeheartedly recommend booking this guesthouse. It's genuinely fantastic, and I'll eat my hat if I'm wrong! ^++++^"

"A special shout-out to the lovely ladies at the front desk!! They were incredibly welcoming, rushing over to help us with our luggage as soon as we got off the bus!! Even though they're women themselves, they upgraded us to a fantastic room~ The stay was very comfortable, everything was provided, and they were so thoughtful! We loved it! We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time~ Clean and tidy, cozy and spacious rooms, excellent location, friendly housekeeping staff, and super high value for money!! Everyone can book with confidence~"

"There’s a quite abit of construction going on around the hotel and the room initially assigned was right beside a construction site. The noise was quite bad at night and in the morning but the staffs were really friendly and accommodating. After we feedback about the noise at midnight, they went to speak to the construction workers but when it didn’t work, they took the initiative to have our room immediately changed to a location further away from the noise. Room is spacious and comfortable. Hotel is located about 20mins walk away from the ancient town. However by car, the hotel may be a little hard to find due to the constructions around the area. GPS would always direct to the 1st floor of the hotel instead of the hotel main entrance."

"Overall, I'm quite satisfied. **Service:** The guesthouse is situated right next to the giant prayer wheel in Dukezong Ancient Town. As we were traveling by car, navigating the town's narrow and often crowded roads proved quite challenging. However, the owner was incredibly helpful, guiding us to the designated parking area and offering a convenient pick-up and drop-off service. They also thoughtfully provided local food recommendations and a detailed travel guide. **Environment & Location:** The ambiance is simply fantastic, and the guesthouse boasts a prime location. We specifically booked a room with a rooftop terrace, which afforded us stunning night views of the ancient town – truly beautiful! As I mentioned, the location isn't the most convenient for those traveling by car. A word of warning: definitely avoid driving into the ancient town between 7 PM and 9 PM; it's an absolute nightmare! **Room Facilities & Cleanliness:** Our room was very spacious and came with its own balcony/terrace, all at a very reasonable price. The room's overall facilities felt relatively new and well-maintained. The only minor issue was with the oxygen concentrator; its indicator light kept flashing red for maintenance. After trying to use it briefly, I felt uncomfortable, so I decided against it. I hope the owners can look into this. **In Summary:** This is a new guesthouse, having just opened in 2024. It offers excellent value for money and comes highly recommended!"

"The room is clean and sanitary, the service staff is warm and thoughtful, there is floor heating, other facilities are still very complete, there is a large yard downstairs for convenient parking, overall it is still beyond my expectations. Especially the surrounding scenery is very comfortable, a homestay that I sincerely recommend."

"Service: The service was incredibly thoughtful. On a drizzly day, the butler personally greeted us, helped with our luggage, and even drove us to a restaurant outside the ancient city. It's clear they pour their heart into running this establishment! Environment: Located within the ancient city, our room featured floor-to-ceiling windows and a charming, small courtyard. We could even enjoy a foot bath in the room, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. It was wonderfully quiet at night, offering a peaceful retreat right in the heart of things. Amenities: They thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent and oxygen tanks, which was very convenient. What's more, it's a pet-friendly place, which was a huge bonus! 👍 Seriously, book without hesitation – you absolutely won't regret your stay!"

"You can take a bus directly to the hotel from Shangri-La Station. It is in the ancient city and it is very convenient to go anywhere. The hotel is all smart home, cleaned very cleanly, and there is a stuffed bear on the bed when you enter the room, which I like very much. The most surprising thing is the rain shower. While separating dry and wet, the water pressure and shower head are also very useful. There is also warm wind, which can effectively prevent altitude sickness caused by catching a cold. I will choose this hotel again when I come to Shangri-La next time!"

"I was traveling in Yunnan for almost 10 days and spent nights in at least five different home stays, and this was definitely the best experience I had and one of the best home stay experiences I have ever had! From the moment I arrived, the owner made everything so easy and convenient for me. My room was on the third floor but she helped me carry my luggage all the way up. In the afternoon she drove me to Napa Lake herself and picked me up after I was finished. The next day I had a hard time getting a Didi ride to the train station and her husband kindly drove me over and dropped me off 🥹 So please schedule your departure way in advance! I wanted specifically to be away from crowds and noise, so the location was perfect for me, though if you want to go to Dukezong Ancient Town, it’s only a 15-minute Didi ride. I had very delicious lunch and breakfast that the owner herself cooked. I don’t speak much Chinese, but the owner and I communicated through WeChat and she was always very prompt in replying. And the room, of course, is incredibly gorgeous and clean. But be careful with the steps going in and out of your room because the doorway is partly covered with a curtain. I wish I could have stayed for one more night! I love Yunnan and will definitely come back here the next time I’m in Shangri-La. Thank you for having me and for such a wonderful experience!"

"I am very honored to come across this B&B. As soon as the car stopped at the door, a lovely young proprietress, her mother and her friend came to greet us and help with the luggage. The B&B is a newly renovated Tibetan-style building, including the interior decoration. You can smell the fragrance of pine wood in the lobby, which makes people feel very comfortable. When you come to the room, the layout is reasonable and warm. There is floor heating in the whole room of her house. It is not unbearable to be hot. The temperature is very suitable. The hot water in the bathroom is very comfortable. It is also very quiet at night. In the morning, there is a nutritious breakfast made by her mother. I especially like her super large kitchen. It’s a pity that I forgot to take pictures of the kitchen. The supporting facilities are complete. I strongly recommend everyone to go."
