Red Roof Inn Kingman

The good front desk allowed us to store our luggage at the front desk the next day. The location of the hotel is good. There are many museums in this town to see. The parking lot is in the open-air courtyard on the first floor. The smoke-free area is very satisfied

This was a combination of remodeled and just plain old. The vanity light had bare bulbs and the light fixture by the door looked like one my grandma had in her kitchen. The TV wasn’t digital. The carpet needed replacing and there weren’t any coverlets on the bed—just two sheets on either side of a blanket. The toilet wouldn’t stop running and overflowed. The bathroom ceiling was gross looking. All they had left was a smoking room and the scent was rather strong—my clothes still smell like smoke. Due to Covid, there wasn’t any breakfast option. Interacted with several staff members and they all seemed pleasant. There has been some effort in making the place look more modern. It is located along historic Hwy 66.

This is a tough review to write as I am originally from Kingman and want to see my hometown thrive and succeed but this hotel is an abomination. For background, I’m a Hilton Diamond member and have seen the spectrum of Hiltons in the brand. This is - by far - the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the chain. Some reasons for my review: 1. Breakfast is across the board 6am at Hamptons. This hotel has covered over the breakfast sign with a printed piece of paper changing breakfast time on weekends to 7am. 2. The hotel has a sign when you enter saying “pets not permitted” & someone has “sharpie markered” out the word “not”. 3. The ice maker was broken. 4. Cigarette butts and bottle caps litter the formerly landscaped entrance. 5. We killed a roach in our room and there were several dead bugs in each of the light fixtures. 6. Pigeons have come to roost all along the outside of the hotel with pigeon poop and feathers welcoming guests. 7. Towels are not hanging from the racks, but stacked and very few supplied. 8. Updates include a horrible yellow light that bears no resemblance to the rest of the room. Damage to the wall where bedside lamps used to hang is visible and has not been repaired. 9. There is significant damage to the walls and furniture that needs a major overhaul. On the plus side, the employees were nice and offered water to me as a Diamond member. I’ve seen older Hampton Inn’s that later go on to routine Hilton updates and the improvements that can be made. Unfortunately, this hotel has been languishing so long I’m not sure that the routine updates that Hilton provides will be enough to fix the problems in this situation. This hotel needs stucco redone on the outside, major bug infestation remediation, pigeon remediation, and overall enhancements to improve the brand. Whether the Hilton logo should still be affixed to this property is a more urgent question.
Motel 6 Kingman, AZ - Route 66 West

This is an inexpensive place to spend the night on the road, so I didn't expect anything fancy. Still, I expected a room as described in the listing. Specifically, I booked on Booking.com and selected a room with refrigerator and microwave. This was clearly reflected in the confirmation (see picture). I arrived with items I was planning to microwave and refrigerate, only to find out that the room had neither a refrigerator nor a microwave. The front desk employee (Krista) claimed that those are generic amenities offered by the hotel, but not for the room I booked (even though the confirmation clearly showed otherwise). She was completely unhelpful, stated that I should take it up with Booking.com (as if it wasn't the property's responsibility to make sure the listing is accurate) and claimed that the manager could not be disturbed until Monday morning (it was Saturday night). She claimed there was nothing she could do because it was ”above her pay scale”. The room was spacious but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired: I found dark hair in the bathtub and a stain on the bed linen. Bed and pillows were reasonably comfortable. In the bathroom, the toilet lid was missing and the toilet wasn't flushing well. The water pressure was good in the shower, but very weak in the sink. The place is very noisy: no soundproofing and thin walls, plenty of noise from other rooms and the parking area. Parking was easy. Slow wifi. In a nutshell: stay elsewhere.

Took long time to check in…2 beds in room, slept in one as coverlet was dirty on second bed, AC was either very cold or off. It was an old unit and the dial was not working properly. Room 219. Walls were thin so could hear everything in nearby rooms, WiFi did not work. Asked front desk and was told they would come up to help me. That never happened. I was in my pj’s and with wet hair from shower so did not feel like going down to the front desk. Had to send an important email by midnight and this never happened. Breakfast consisted of box to go. Pretty crappy. You get what you pay for here. Cheap motel (doesn’t deserve to be called a hotel). Spend a little more and be happy.

We stopped at this hotel 2 times in a week. We made reservations ahead of time as a halfway mark on our way to LA for Thanksgiving. The first night stay was fine and breafast was good. On the way way back home we got checked into room 107and the room needs to be cleaned up, not to mention has several hazards of metal sticking out of the side of the bed frame and walls. The outlet cover was missing where the TV, Microwave and fridge was plugged in and actually keep getting tripped so we had to keep unplugging and plugging back in the TV to get it work. Scuffs all over the walls, and ceiling stains in the bathroom as well as the paint even bubbled up and peeling. Mold on the bathroom floor. We expressed our dissatisfaction upon checkout and the worker just told us the manager was not available. A clean room was all we were expecting after a long day of travel and was unsuccessful. We paid 117.00 for a dirty, unmaintained room. No resolution what so ever. Think long and hard before booking your stay at this location. I wished I could share my pictures. They speak volumes
