"This was my first time booking this hotel through Trip.com, and the environment was excellent, especially the staff – every single person was incredibly friendly. I usually don't like going to Chicago because I always feel it's unsafe, but I went for a graduation ceremony with some students. Staying here felt convenient and safe. Trip.com's service was also very helpful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Chicago. It's super convenient for shopping and getting to other places."

"The location is great, with a CVS and a Jewel Osco nearby, and it's within walking distance to the Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park. The facilities are a bit old, especially the carpet which looked quite dirty. Housekeeping started knocking on our door at 8 AM every morning 😮💨, yet when we returned to the hotel in the evening, the room hadn't been cleaned. Upon check-in, I noticed the bottled water was priced at $3 a bottle, free for members. So I didn't drink any of the hotel's water. However, after checking out, my credit card was charged $6 for water. It's not a lot of money, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Thankfully, Trip.com customer service was very helpful and negotiated with the hotel for a refund, which I'm still waiting to receive."

"The elevator is old and takes a long time to get to the 10th floor and above. There is no do not disturb sign and the waiter will knock on the door of each room. It's crazy."

"My Honest Experience After Reading Negative Reviews I was initially quite hesitant to check into this hotel after reading a number of detailed and lengthy negative reviews, especially those highlighting hidden fees and cleanliness issues. However, upon arrival with my partner, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and well-decorated, with a modern and cohesive style. Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again."

"Parking is cheap enough, $43 for 2 days. Staff are nice and friendly. I asked for not Cleanness of the room is well, but the room design is a bit weird, long walk from washroom to the bed ;p Not enough bright for the room but it’s fine for stay. Rooms distance is quite closed, and doors are not sound-proofing."

"The hotel is in a prime location, next to the Michigan Bridge, next to the beautiful Londonhouse. It is a long and narrow building with a small facade. There are two hotels inside. The 20th to 40th floors are CQ, and the 20th floor and below are the river hotel. You can walk down to the river and take a boat. You can walk to Millennium Park and Navy Pier. The north-facing rooms face the Trump Tower and overlook the bridge on the Michigan River and the ships coming and going. The rooms are simple and suitable for tourists who are looking for cost-effectiveness. There is a self-service coffee machine on the second floor, where you can rest and watch TV. There are desks and chairs suitable for business guests. I didn't see many Asians during my stay."
