"Hotel views of mountain is good, rooms were cleaned. Only problem was we were all 60s so rooms given to us was way below the slope where we have to climb the stairs was quite steep. Tv reception was bad. Good for young couples."
"Firstly, the telephone number to the outlet is + 6 012 869 6969 as shown on a signage at the entrance to the outlet; the number advertised on this platform is not helpful when I called two days ago to ask about my booking.
Secondly, the road from the entrance down to the parking bays is steep requiring experience and skillful drivers especially when their vehicles are loaded with passengers or baggage.
Thirdly, the wash basin faucet in the bathroom of my room is loose, the shower head hose is inflexible, and the water pressure is below average."
"The resort was on high ground and thus have a wonderful / fantastic view of Kundasang valley. The resort is a bit old. There was no free Internet in the room. The small 24 inc TV in the room was not working. No hair dryer and air con. There is 1 standing fan. I am ok with all Cleanliness was good."

TL;DR: This place feels more like a meditation centre than a hotel, it will not provide you with supplements. It's a bare room. You need to bring toothbrush&paste and buy drinks somewhere as it is not provided. No tv and fan. No in-house restaurant. There are mosquitoes at the garden near afternoon, and the balcony at night, but there are no insects in the room (family room). In exchange you will get a very clear and vivid Mt Kinabalu view in the near-dawn morning (where there is no mosquito), a working shower with heater, concrete floor that reduces nearby noise, and cold foggy experience.
Long:
This place is within the fog path so you will get the foggy experience. You can also see Mt. Kinabalu at the right time and it looks quite close (e.g. dawn 6 a.m.). You can even see the electric towers and resthouse, it's that close. Moreover, this place is more like a meditation centre than a hotel. It is visibly run down probably since covid as that is also when the in-house restaurant got closed down. Considering my experience as a recurrent visitor of Kundasang, mosquito has always been the least of my concern. Somehow this place has lots of them. We got bit quite a lot in a short span of time.
Undesirable / Cons:
-No water kettle, no supplements (water bottle, coffee pack, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.). Porcelain mugs are provided though
-No in-house cafe/restaurant but nearby has a few (400 meters at least)
-No tv, no fan but cold in general
-Quite a lot of mosquito and moths outside at the garden place in the afternoon and at the balcony connecting the 2 buildings at night. There are no electric zapper.
-Seems a bit run down at the garden. 2 broken board pieces on the floor for example.
-It has no Qibla for muslim people, at least in family room
Desirable / Pros:
-Big room. Not smelly
-Is cement board floor
-Big single beds. Not smelly
-Clean bed. Fluffy cover.
-Water heater is working for family room at least
-Relatively clean inside room and at reception. No insects in room. No weird bugs around.
-Has a table and chairs in room
-Lots of electrical port
-Wifi provided by hotel is strong (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz
-Very near main road. So good road going towards the hotel
-Aki-Aki trail starting point is nearby. Plan to go next time so no experience as of this review
This place is not too bad. Not too good either. Personally, I wouldn't place this as my top place for the foggy and view considering other options but I don't mind returning if necessary. It will sure be much much better to highly recommended with much needed renovation and have some methods to deal with those mosquito.
p.s. There's a cute puppy that invites you at the entrance. 😂
p.s.s. I saw a greater coucal gliding into the forest in the morning!"
"Our stay here was absolutely magical!
The weather was perfect—chilly and pleasant, with a nice breeze. Since we’re used to hot weather, it was like a dream come true.
The reception area was huge and right next to it was a great restaurant that served delicious Nasi Goreng. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the resort itself was clean and well-maintained.
The view was incredible! From our room on the Kinabalu Wing, we could see the majestic Mount Kinabalu. It was breathtaking!
Just a heads up, the dirt and stone road leading to the resort is about 2.2 km long, and if you’re not used to it, it might be a bit bumpy. If you’re coming here for the first time, it’s best to arrive before dark.
I’m definitely going back here again! Maybe next time, I’ll have a barbecue under the stars of Kinabalu. That would be epic!"
"I stayed in the budget twin room for 2 nights. The location is great as it is in short distance to the park entrance. The staff was very friendly and helpful all the time. Breakfast was basic and good. Highlight: fresh cut pineapple and the staff were always smiling.
The cafe is also open for dinner between 7-9pm, it was delicious and affordable.
Next time I would prefer staying in a higher category as my room didn’t have any view and the mountain view is amazing."

Great
GGuest UserThe view from the accommodations was super. Although there were no fans in the room but at night it was very cold, if only the water heater could be more effective it would have been a great stay.
NNgSereneWonderful experience at the hotel! A hilltop location with beautiful scenery, cleanliness, and helpful staff can make for a truly memorable stay.
GGuest UserWe stayed at Happy Pink, we like the cold nights and breeze there! The view is the same as the photos! Perfect for nature lovers who love sceneries' more the TV. The swing outside each house is enjoyable to have a view at Mount KK. We like the cosyness of the restaurants and the service there. Food is ok but a little slow in serving. Negative is that the water for showering is too weak to be used. We were joking that ”By the time the water flow down to our feet, our hair is already dry”
MMOHD AMINUL FAHMI AHMAD JALALINWoke up to see kinabalu. No word can describe the feelings. Location a bit far from town, but the hotel have it's owned restaurant which is very helpful
OOliver Fredfor the price of RM130+/nite for a room of 3pax I would say its really really worth it, nothing fancy but room is decent enough for me and my parents, water heater is workimg well as the weather there is really cold plus the rainy day, tv aint working but not a big deal as its time for family bonding😁 basic amenities available with clean towels, lots of parking available, free wifi available but was not that stable.
one thing good bout this place is the location, located right by the main road heading Kundasang town, and very convenient a restaurant situated just below of the hotel, serving NO PORK dishes, general food is and price is reasonable👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
GGuest UserOverall the room is clean, complete with basic kitchen amenities. The room has a spacious balcony which we enjoyed the sunrise view. We can see the Mount KK from main entrance and the back of the resort. Their staff are friendly and helpful. However, the only challenge is to control the water heater temperature 😆.
AAnonymous UserVery noise at midnight with soundof motorcycle..with smoke smell came from outside and I notice one of worker is there together with that group.
NNajeh YusriStayed here for a night. The location is a little off because you cannot see Mt. Kinabalu anywhere, but you would find yourself surrounded by pine trees, which is also a point to add. You could hear the winds at night, a little scary but also serene at the same time. I would not be bothered by anything else except for the network. It was so slow during my stay, eventhough they provided the wifi. What is the point connecting to the wifi if you cannot use it anyway? Our phone network also did not work there, unfortunately. It’s a big concern because people would want to text, call their families and friends besides updating their social medias and making research for attractions etc. If the management team could figure this out and work for a better improvement on this issue, it would be great and more pleasurable to stay. Other than that, it was a good stay. Thank you!
NNanaSyakinahkami saje nak try tdo dlm capsule.. tapi 1st ni last la tdo dlm capsule tu.. tmpt agak menakutkan sikit.. tapi nnt nk try tdo dlm tent pulak.. yg lain semua ok..
