Kunming Wuhua District Hotels

The hotel contacted us before our stay to check with us on our time of arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful even at 3AM. They can speak English and Chinese. The room was exactly like how it was shown in the pictures. It was spacious and clean, with toiletries provided. The unobstructed view was also very nice! The location is splendid, near Kunming Old Streets and Nanping where they are many food options. Will definitely reccomend for the affordable pricing and great quality!

The hotel location is very close to the Nanping Pedestrian Street (only 2 mins walk) and to the shopping malls/area (10 mins walk). We even extended our stay in Suzan boutique hotel because of the prime location, comfortable and clean room, and of course the very kind reception lady. Overall we think it’s a very good stay, very recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Sheraton was truly a pleasant surprise! The room was warm and comfortable, with soft bedding and excellent soundproofing, allowing for a restful sleep. The location is super convenient, within walking distance of the subway and shopping district. The front desk staff were friendly and attentive, offering assistance with luggage and a warm smile! The breakfast was plentiful, with both Chinese and Western options. The freshly cooked pastries and fresh fruit were especially delicious, and even the coffee was fragrant and not overdone. Every detail was meticulously considered, and the value for money was exceptional. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate quality!

We LOVE this hotel. We checked in around 10am and immediately got a room. Commercial washer (~30 mins standard wash) and dryer (30-40 minutes highest heat) are at level 7, where the check in reception area is at. Both laundry and gym are 24 hours. The gym (level 7) is small but barely anyone used it when we were there. The mattress and pillows, THE BEST. Honestly when it comes to accommodations, their pillows are always too soft and the mattress might be too springy or way too hard. Theirs was PERFECT. Such a pity our stay was too short. Breakfast was available for our room. Not a lot of halal options but not complaining. One feedback (which I see in some reviews) is the lift. Only 3 elevators available and the doors close way too fast! Oh and if you order food, just need to specify to deliver to level 7 reception and the staff will use the robot to send the food to your room. So cool! Will definitely book this hotel chain when we come to China.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, which set a positive tone for our stay. Special thanks to Sam the butler and another gentle an who was very helpful and attentive. Another gentleman, possibly the manager, was also very polite and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. The hotel lobby is spacious and smells great, creating a pleasant first impression. Our room was comfortable, with decent pillows and mattress. It also had various small items provided, but some had unclear functions—adding a bilingual guide would be very helpful for foreign guests. Housekeeping was quick and responsive. When we had an issue and called for help, we couldn’t speak Chinese, but someone came directly to our door to understand what we needed—this effort was very much appreciated. One area for improvement: the lady at the front desk when we checked in on 30 Apr should improve her customer service skills, especially when assisting international guests. Overall, a pleasant and welcoming stay with helpful staff and a few areas that could make the experience even better.

Super love this unassuming hotel! Pros: 1. Smack in the middle of kunming old street,so it is a super strategic location and walking distance away from so many of the tourists attractions . You can wake up at 730am in the morning and walk meters away to the iconic Jiu Bei Lou building and take photos without the usual crazy crowd and then walk back to the hotel to continue sleeping haha. This hotel is also about 5-8 minutes walk from metro station 2. Room is just nice for 2 person. They even have a water dispenser in the room so you can drink and refill as much water as you want. 3. Receptionist was super friendly and efficient. We told them during check in that we have to check out early next day to the airport, and requested if they can pack our breakfast for take away. The staff said ok, but can only give us buns and yoghurt. On the morning we checked out, the receptionist gave us more food than just buns and yoghurt, and even a little farewell gift! So thoughtful and heart warming! This kind of small gesture is even better the hospitality that 5-star hotels give, because the staff went through extra length to give us all that! Very sweet of her 3. There is a cafe that serves special teas at the ground floor of the hotel, and as guests who stay there, we get 20% off our bill 4. Although located in the old street where it is very busy and crowded, our room was not affected by the noise outside as it was facing the inner courtyard. Very thoughtful design ln the hotel 5. Water heater in the shower is very good! Easy to adjust temperature, water pressure is strong Cons: 1. Just a small little problem, they only provided a small triangle rack in the shower for us to put our clothes and towel, which i do not feel is sufficient, and not to mention clothes that are placed there can get wet too. We did not know the rack is actually for us to put out towel and clothes, until we asked the hotel why is there no place for us to hang towel/clothes in the shower

What a dream stay 💗⭐️😍 Stunning rooms with tasteful and delightful design elements; the attention to detail is unreal. Every day spent in this holiday felt like luxury! So fun to watch people take photos in front of your hotel too. The service was the best service I’ve ever received from a hotel, from helping us book a private taxi and misc reservations, giving us recommendations for local restaurants, to gifting me a bottle of wine for my birthday. The manager was so friendly and spoke great English, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great time in Kunming. Thank you 😁😁😁

Very friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are also very nice and the breakfast is good! The hotel is very conveniently located near the Old Street and the Green Lake Park! I can only recommend it!

Location: Quiet in the bustling city, in the alley next to Lianyun Hotel, 100 meters away and a corner, there are many shared bicycles and electric bikes at the door, which is very convenient. Yuantong Road is at the exit of the alley, which is very convenient for the driver to pick up the group. 300 meters on the left? It is Yuantong Temple, Yuantong Mountain, and the zoo. 300 meters on the right? It is Cuihu Lake! There is also a subway station nearby. You can ride a shared electric bike to Yunnan University, Cuihu Lake, Huanggong Street, Old Street, and Jiaochang Middle Road. Environment: The hotel is a small building with several floors, a large yard, parking, and a Chinese-style decoration. There are many rooms and a laundry room. The room we booked is small, but it has a terrace, which is not bad. Service: Very kind and friendly

[An unexpected stay experience! I will definitely choose this place next time! ] I was completely attracted by this homestay the first time I stayed there! From the communication before check-in to the check-out, the whole experience was perfect💯The landlady was very considerate. As soon as I arrived at the store, I was given fruits and yogurt, and even prepared a spare umbrella for rainy days. It was really detailed! The room is even warmer and more comfortable than the photos✨The log-style design is matched with warm lights, and I instantly feel relaxed at home. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly. I thought I would recognize the bed, but I slept until dawn~ What's more surprising is the smart home equipment, voice-controlled curtains and air conditioning, and the bathroom is also equipped with a lighted makeup mirror, which is very friendly to girls! According to the landlady's recommendation, I ate at the treasure snack bar in the alley! The location is also great, quiet in the bustling city, a 10-minute walk from Nanqiang Night Market, a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and the taxi to the scenic spot is basically the starting price. When checking out, the landlady also helped to send the luggage to the car. You can never go wrong choosing this place when traveling to this city! It really made us feel at home, which added a lot to this trip!
