Best Hotels in La Cala de Mijas, Spain

After reading some reviews, I wasnt looking forward to this visit. How wrong can people be! The hotel is beautiful, spotless beautiful big rooms, comfy beds, lovely huge selection of food & drinks. All the staff, from waiters to cleaners are lovely. The pool that supposedly you cant swim in, utter rubbish! I'm 5ft 4in & the deep end came to my neck. If you want deep sea diving, the beach is seconds away. Plenty of beds around pool. Just a really lovely hotel...so ignore the moaning minnies. The only complaint, is nothing to do in La cala de Mijas, apart from Legends bar. Everythings closed by 11pm no entertainment bars, apart ftom Legends, but you have to book. So if you want nightlife walking distance, forget it. Its all restaurants.

This hotel is spotlessly clean with comfy beds and a great shower. We had room 301 which had a terrace. The breakfast was continental but only 2 euros extra for bacon and eggs. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There isnt a pool but only a 10 minute walk to the beach.Less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of town. We will return to cala de mijas and definitely stay at this hotel again. many thanks to all the staff.

Fantastic holiday, 3rd time here. The staff are so welcoming and attentive to all guests. The whole complex is kept very clean. The on site restaurant is very good as well. You are within a 7 euro taxi ride to La Cala or Fuengirolla if you want to go shopping. There is great entertainment on poolside every day with bingo etc and at the onsite restaurant 4 nights a week they have live singers who are very good.

I have to admit, I had a fabulous time here at the hotel. We went with several family’s and enjoyed the hustle and bustle. The entertainment team are particularly friendly and attempt to include all nationalities in all the activities. The cleaning team made an amazing job of regularly cleaning and making the bedrooms each day. They forgot to replace our towels, but we alerted reception on the way to dinner and when we returned to our room the towels had been replaced. I have read some reviews on here about a few members of staff being rude or grumpy, and on a few occasions at breakfast and the pool bar I did see this behaviour. However when the staff got to know us and we got over the language barrier they couldn’t do enough to help. Raul was laughing and joking by the end of the week and he made some amazing cocktails. I suppose what I’m saying is that people demand customer service but don’t show the respect that’s occasionally needed. If your rude to staff .. don’t expect the red carpet treatment. The hotel is looking a little aged, but view and location is amazing, close to Mijas and a short taxi ride/ bus to the beach. The Buffett food got a little repetitive but was cooked well and they had plenty of options for all ages. Thanks for a great stay .. see you again one day …

It's a pretty big resort that I couldn't find the reception at first. Check in at the main reception and drive back to the room. You can also see the sunrise from the villa in the dormitory surrounding the swimming pool.

Great location for the marina with all the bars & restaurants,plus the long walks along the promenade.Very clean hotel with happy helpful staff throughout,great at reception with getting us a taxi at 3am for airport..Room spacious with nice views to pool and garden,didn't want for anything.Always plenty of choice for both breakfast and evening meal,my shirts have shrunk.Drink prices are fairly good,pint of local beer €3.80 and bottle of red wine €10.Flamenco show on saturday night plus other acts quizes and bingo through the weekThe only minus is the poor quality sunbeds and that's down to management.

The English at the front desk is not particularly good. The buffet dinner is more cost-effective than the surrounding Italian restaurants. The daughter is 15 years old and counts as a child. In the hotel you can see the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel pool is very iced. It is recommended to put some towels next to the hotel. The night view around the hotel is beautiful, and there is a very meaningful museum.

First time we have stayed here and in Spain and I can't recommend it highly enough,I'd sent a request for a ground floor due to my husband's mobility problems and our room far exceeded our expectations ,it was the best Apt we've ever stayed in well equipped and spotlessly clean as is the whole complex,the ladies in reception were so welcoming helpful and just so customer service focused a week wasn't enough in this fabulous resort .

I have just returned home from a short stay at this beautiful hotel and i cannot fault it. We arrived at midnight and the two gentleman on reception were so pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast is very nice and a great selection of fresh foods at dinner also. We asked for extra towels and pillows very late one of the nights and these were delivered to our room within ten minutes. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The pool area, toilets, and all other parts of the hotel were so clean. The reception staff, bar staff, and maids were so friendly and they could not do enough for you. Great location with the beach front and town centre a short walk away. We got a very good deal to stay here and given the five star treatment we received, we will most definately be returning in the future.

Friendly staff, modern hotel, close to the sea and the beach of the hotel is very convenient. The breakfast is very good and the hotel has parking which is quite useful.
