Hotel Colonial Granada

Being well situated close to the square it is hard to imagine what awaits inside the walls, but as you enter reception all becomes clear. Very colonial and open to th elements in style the impression is good. Two small swimming pools are located on the ground floor, however there were only a few sunbeds, due to the lack of space. This wasn't a big deal during our visit as the other guests were busy sightseeing. Our room was spacious with two double beds, a dressing room then separate shower room and loo. However, due to the fact that it is an old building the room was very dark and the lighting did little to improve it so difficult to read in there. there was a hairdryer in the room but no safe. In addition during the night there was a lot of metallic noise and sounds similar to a trolley being wheeled around on the roof (we were on thesecond/top floor), so no idea what it was. Complained at reception and they did offer another room but my husband didn't want to move as he was in bed. (Room 33 - avoid. Outside the room was a bench which was nice to sit on in the early evening, overlooking oneof the pools. The hotel is on two floors but there is no lift. Staff were friendly and helpful and refilled our water bottles free of charge. Breakfast was very slow and served so you couldn't do anything to quicken it up, they were there before time but wouldn't start taking orders. Had to chase our pot of tea 3 times, then she brought coffe and continued to pour it into a cup as we said no we wanted tea!! There were 3 choices all which were good when they finally arrived. Overall a reasonable place, in a good position for visiting the sights but a few issues need addressing.

I had to rebook my accomodation on the spot and went here. I didn't regret it. Had a very nice spaceous room with airco for a reasonable price. The breakast was very good and staff super friendly and helpful. Also the hotel location is great, just besides the main plaza.

From the street this property is unassuming as most in the town are, but the property is anything but. There rooms are great sizes with excellent aircon. Built in early 2000’s in replica old style as the area is, Spanish influenced. Two great pools inside so room to escape the heat with lots of shade. Staff very nice and helpful. Able to smoke outside the rooms, excellent breakfast too with lots of coffee. Walk to all the major places and plenty of cheap food options nearby, a** and supermarket 50m walk. On-site car park too. Can’t wait to return.

Great spot right off the main square. Everyone is very friendly. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. It’s very quiet. There’s a nice little pool to escape the afternoon heat. Only negative comment is the lighting in the room is a bit dismal. But overall, a great spot!

Older place with lots of charm and character. Could use a little TLC and a hot shower would have been nice. 2 pools are nice and not used a lot. The area around the hotel is great for shopping dining and a**osphere

The customer service in this hotel is outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to make it a great stay. Excellent location. All you need for breakfast, good choice. 2 great pools. Comfortable bed, we slept well. Good housekeeping everyday, the rooms were spotless. Beautiful building and architecture. Wished we had stayed longer.
