"The lake view room is very good, the sparsely populated water is very clear, suitable for emptying. When it rains, the lake is dark, and the sky is blue without filters when the sun is out."
"Solitaire is the top three luxury homestay in Rutua. On the shore of Lake Tarawera, the scenery is beautiful and the food is delicious. It is suitable for couples or couples to relax, not very suitable for children. The price is expensive and the price is not high."
"Outward appearance is good, but on closer Inspection it is shabby, once was high class accommodation but now cushions and curtains dirty. Unidentified scraps on bed linen and bathroom had very visible mould. The bath is a great size with headrest, heated floor and good water pressure. Our room had a great view of the lake, but people walking past windows, no real privacy. Good size room interesting room layout."

"The resort is located on the shores of Lake Rotorua, and the lake views here are refreshing. In the early morning, you can enjoy the mist rising from the lake, and at dusk, the afterglow of the setting sun reflects on the water, and the scenery is breathtaking. This natural environment adds a lot of poetry to the entire stay experience."
"The accommodation is great. The kitchen is fully equipped with tableware and cooking utensils, which is great! You can also watch Netflix for free, which is great!
Next to it is Lake Rototua. The scenery is super beautiful during the day. Don’t open food by the lake, seagulls will come and grab the food from you😆"
"Many people come to the Blue Lake in RVs and yachts. Needless to say, the scenery of the Blue Lake is so beautiful. Sitting by the lake relaxes your teeth and scalp. The resort has separate toilets and shared toilets/bathrooms. Mostly locals come for water sports and swimming/camping, very few Chinese tourists. It is recommended to bring a swimming ring or surfboard from January to March. There are no restaurants around, so we brought instant noodles and tomatoes on our backs. After eating a few days later, we took a 10-minute taxi to the Landing Cafe next to Terawera Lake to eat. The beach was very lively on a sunny day, filled with children and adults with dogs🐶 Come and play in the water. The lake is crystal clear and opposite is a volcano. You can talk to local people with yachts and let them drive to the hot water beach at the foot of the volcano for a hot spring♨️."
"The hotel was located right next to the Polynesian Spa and a long walking/biking path around the geothermal area. It's also near restaurants and a grocery store for lots of food options. The room was clean and comfortable, but due to our location on the first floor near the parking lot and major walkway, we heard everyone coming and going. If you're a light sleeper, request an upper floor room, and hopefully you won't hear people in the hallway/parking lot/walkway like we did. Also, I have to be honest, the sulphur smell was so strong at times I was gagging and it woke me up from a dead sleep. Knowing it will smell and experiencing it are two different things! Mostly for this reason, I wouldn't stay here again."
"The hotel was in a good location. Very near to some cafe and ample parking spaces. But unfortunately there was no electricity on our second day due to construction works nearby. To be specific: there was No Electricity from 8-9am until 1-2pm and then resumed normal. We had to finish all the food we bought from supermarket immediately otherwise food would turn bad.
There was a carnival or something nearby and there was fireworks."
"Just next to Lake Rotorua, you can walk to the lake to feed the pigeons for breakfast on the street in the morning. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool, but unfortunately it was too cold when we went. The hotel is also very close to the snack street, and it is very convenient to walk over for dinner. The only thing is that the front desk is off work early, and you need to pick up the keys after five o'clock. Overall, it is a great place."
