Sofitel is a bit of an older building but service more than made up for it. The front desk was nice enough to upgrade my room, the lifeguard at the pool was very polite, as well as the gym front desk. Overall service was fantasic. I’d say 4 bottles of water per room might be nicer instead of 2? I drink a lot of water. But I had a great stay.

Check-in took longer than it should have, and I was initially given a smoking room despite requesting a non-smoking one. The smell was unbearable, but the staff did resolve the issue by assigning me a different room after I asked. The room itself was fine, clean and functional, which is the most important thing. While the service had some hiccups, the price is reasonable for what you get. I’d still recommend this place for budget-conscious travelers, just don’t expect a luxury experience.

Nanjing Jinling Hongqiao Hotel has ample parking and free parking. The front desk service was professional, and the room Xiaofan arranged was nice, with large, clear windows and a lighted makeup mirror. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The location is convenient, with plenty of restaurants and transportation nearby. I've stayed at this hotel many times and was very satisfied with my overall experience. The front desk offers free luggage storage. The service is efficient. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was the right height, and the space was ample. The room was spacious, a small one-bedroom suite, and the restaurant downstairs was clean and reassuring. The front desk service was friendly, providing free shopping bags and transportation maps. The room had great lighting, a large, high-definition TV, and one-touch screen mirroring. The robot delivery service was excellent, the blackout curtains were excellent, and the smart toilet was a fantastic experience. The breakfast was varied and comprehensive, and every stay was excellent. They take great care of their regular customers, and they give it a five-star rating.

we got the room with a beautiful backyard full of plants and blossoms of flowers and a tray of welcome tea after checked in, the bed and pillows are comfortable ,showers is nice and warm
Light Chinese breakfast served is good enough to start a day and not too much for the delicious Nanjing lunch later on:-)

CChuntianrannaifenBooked this place for a business trip to Nanjing and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious, with a large bay window offering excellent natural light. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the shredded radish pancake was absolutely delicious! The lounge on the first floor was also very convenient for business meetings. My foreign colleague traveling with me also spoke highly of it. If I return to Nanjing, I would certainly choose to stay here again.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was comfortable, allowing me to rest well. The front desk staff were very friendly. Overall, it was great value for money, and I would choose to stay here again. Whenever I needed help, they responded promptly, making my stay hassle-free and comfortable.
And since I stayed in a youth hostel, besides the good value, what I really appreciated was the friendly atmosphere. The lady at the front desk was genuinely super nice – beautiful and kind-hearted. The other guests were also very friendly. Whether you're an extrovert or an introvert, you'll feel right at home here. It's truly a rare find among guesthouses!

AAnonymous UserI stayed at the Novotel Nanjing Xinjiekou Suning, and the front desk staff were really warm and polite. I was very happy with the room they assigned me. The hotel's location is excellent, close to many attractions and very convenient for transport. Downstairs, there are malls and a snack street, which is super handy. They even have robot delivery for room service and an underground parking lot. It's great value for money, and breakfast was good too. Overall, highly recommended!

The hotel is near Dongliu Station, but you need to walk about 3 blocks (15 minutes). The walk is flat, but in July and August it can get very hot, so bring an umbrella. The area is quiet and feels isolated. Although the hotel is not far from Nanjing University Xianlin Campus, there is no direct train, you need to change lines and make an awkward turn. Shared bikes (Hello blue bikes) are convenient in Xianlin, but not around this hotel. A good option is to take the B3 shuttle bus from Sanyang Road, which goes to Nanjing University train station (walking distance to NJU). Around the hotel, you will find small eateries (like chicken and duck rice shops) and a few convenience stores, but no malls.
Cleanliness
The rooms are clean, but there is a smoke smell that stays for about a day. The staff suggested opening the window and using the aircon, but I also bought a reed diffuser from Miniso to make it smell fresher. Bedsheets were changed regularly (every 5 days). The toilet slippers looked dirty, so I did not use them. Also, the hotel does not provide floor towels.
Staff & Service
The staff were very kind and helpful. They upgraded me to a bigger double room with a sofa and work area, and also gave me a cheaper rate since I stayed for 40 nights. Cleaning staff came daily, bringing bottled water and keeping the toilet clean. The night-shift counter staff were also helpful.
Facilities
There is a washing machine that can wash and dry in one cycle. Do not overload it, or clothes won’t dry properly. Since the hotel is not very busy, I could use the machine anytime without queuing. Rooms have a hair dryer and a lighted mirror. The aircon makes a small dripping sound, but it is not a real problem.
Noise
The soundproofing is generally okay, but occasionally you can hear people talking loudly if there are guests next door. It’s not the hotel’s fault—just that people in China often speak very loudly, even inside their rooms or in the corridor. Nothing much you can do about it.
Surroundings & Safety
The area is safe, with big roads and many residential apartments. In the evenings, families with kids and dogs walk around, and I also jogged nearby. Food delivery is easy drivers can bring food to your room or the counter.
Overall
It is a quiet and safe place to stay, with helpful staff and decent facilities. The location is not very convenient for NJU Xianlin Campus, but manageable if you use the shuttle bus.

It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high!

MM679769****The hotel is super convenient for transportation, it's only about a five or six-minute walk to the subway station, which is incredibly friendly for tourists! I arrived quite early because I was on an early train, and the front desk staff proactively helped me with my luggage. Their service attitude was excellent, and they even arranged for me to check in early! The price is economical and affordable, and the environment is very clean. It's incredibly good value for money!
