The hotel was nice. The Bathroom was clean and nice hot shower. The water pressure was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the Air conditioning was nice. The staff were helpful. During my stay, I felt peaceful and there was no noise. The only thing I felt uncomfortable was the lighting. I felt the bathroom lighting was very dim. There were only 2 small light bulbs in the bathroom. I feel the bathroom should be well lit. The bathroom was dim and dark.

The room was very clean and well-equipped. It had local outlets, USB ports, and even a multi-purpose socket that accommodates European plugs, including UK three-pin types. There was also a lighted makeup mirror.
This hotel operates on a passive cleaning system, meaning guests need to request cleaning or replenishment of consumables. Most larger hotels, however, proactively clean rooms and restock supplies unless a 'Do Not Disturb' sign is activated.
Check-in is at 4 PM, which is a bit later than the 3 PM standard at most hotels and inns.

We were greeted by the friendly front desk when we arrived. Room was spacious and clean, we stayed for six nights and daily housekeeping was provided. It was perfect for work as well. Snacks bar is available from 3pm till 10pm. Definitely will come back again!
The environment is very nice, the price is affordable, the front desk service is very good, and the room has a makeup mirror, which is great. The only minor drawback is that it is close to the main road, so there is some noise, but it doesn't have a big impact.

the location is next to Love River, 10mins walk from underground station, nor far from Wu Fu 4th road, also supermarket and convenient shops nearby, very basic just a room, self room check in/out ,no staff available there, good for backpackers or solo travelers, the flashing point of the place is a washing machine inside the room, handy for those who do laundry daily, for the price paid there are other choice in the area.

I had a great stay. The hotel is very clean, with housekeeping provided daily. As a light sleeper, I appreciated that the room felt private and quiet. Bottled water need to request from front desk. While there was a slight odor at the elevator, the room itself was perfectly fine.
The location is excellent—a 5-minute walk to the MRT (1 stop from Formosa Boulevard) and a 30-minute Uber to Zuoying HSR and the Dragon and Tiger Pagoda. A small Family Mart is right next door, and Hwada Milk Tea is just 200m away. McDonald's is nearby. I didn’t opt for hotel breakfast, and there aren't many breakfast varieties within walking distance. My only real complaint was that the pillows were too soft.

The service was excellent, and the stay was comfortable. The breakfast was vegetarian-friendly, but unfortunately, I was too tired after the concert on the second night to go for it. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I visit Kaohsiung.

Great location, close to Pier-2 Art Center, and convenient for dining and drinks. The hotel is filled with artworks everywhere. The front desk staff are friendly and polite, and check-in and check-out are handled efficiently. The restaurant staff are very welcoming and enthusiastic, always greeting guests with a big smile. The buffet counter is always kept spotless, and the breakfast is fresh and light. I especially loved the sweet potato congee; the rice grains were perfectly bloomed.
The soundproofing in the room was a bit weak, the hallway lighting was a little dim, and the air conditioning only allowed for adjusting the fan speed.

Located next to Pier 2 making the harbour walk easy & nice, however, it is in a terribly noisy location where buses, coaches dropping tourists, garbage trucks working in the early mornings and people walking towards the pier talking and laughing loudly etc
It is about 15 mins taxi ride to Central Park etc
The city and water view were nice. However the facilities and the hotel itself were dated. Balcony lock was not working in either room we stayed in. The water pressure in the bathroom was not strong at level 5. Thr bathroom set up is uncomfortable. Beds were not quality ones. The slippers were really cheap quality. Amenities were pretty limited. Breakfast buffet finishes at 9:30 not 10:00.
The staff when we checked in was cold. Performed her job but not welcoming.

GGuest UserHotel Nikko Kaohsiung was the perfect hotel for us in Kaohsiung. It's in a quiet location in the Asia New Bay Area, a few minutes' walk to 2 light rail stations (C7-Software Technology Park and C8-Kaohsiung Exhibition Center) and 1 Metro Red Line station (R8-Sanduo Shopping District). There's a 7-11 and Family Mart directly in front of it for any drink, snack, or toiletry needs. An MWD outlet is also close by for a good breakfast, if you don't want to spend on the breakfast buffet every morning. Room service dining is available and reasonably priced, though the options are limited. Both the check-in and check-out processes went very smoothly. We arrived a few hours before check-in, but the reception staff let us go through the check-in process and leave our bags. When we returned from exploring the neighborhood, we simply collected our keys from reception and found our bags waiting for us in our room. The lap pool area was quite relaxing to hang out at. The only thing missing is a milk tea shop around the corner.
GGuest UserOne of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Wonderful staff! Whether it's the concierge employees at level 1, or the check-in staff at level 20, or the breakfast staff, everyone is polite and helpful. Fantastic service and facilities. Breakfast is amazing. Everything is perfect, and I strongly encourage visitors to Kaohsiung to stay at H2O hotel!
AAnonymous UserThe Hotel is located in the convenience transportation Location. Easy for traveling to other areas, close to the hotel also having fast food and convenience store. The hotel itself is clean you can leave the luggage before your check in. I like the common area next to the reception. It's nice and having snack and drink for Hotel guest. Quite impressive. If Having a chance will come back again.
DDing AlexFacilities of hotel near top niche conditions, probably due to recent renovation or opening. Room is spacious for two. Services of front desk are helpful. Even took time trying to help our cell phone connection issues. Breakfast, although vegetarian only, is tasty and offered a wide variety of choices. Disappointed is about the noises caused by unruly neigbouring guests late at night.
GGuest UserWould definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Giving it 4.2 stars.
Here's why:
The hotel has a clear cultural story and unique design style.
The room is efficiently laid out with a window-side reading table and chairs, plus an outdoor balcony seating area.
You can enjoy the harbor view from the window.
—
There's only a reception lobby, no other public facilities.
It's family-friendly, but if you're sensitive to noise, ask in advance not to be near the family rooms or the elevator.
The layout is straightforward. The hallways don't have carpet, so you might want to be mindful of soundproofing.
The room amenities, including pillows, bed, and bathroom, are all excellent.
Worth a visit!
MM484188****The hotel rooms are spacious and well-appointed. However, most of the wooden floorboards creak when walked on, the pillows are a bit firm, and the duvet is quite thick. I stayed on the 23rd floor this time, and the view directly overlooking the harbor and sea was incredibly pleasant. The hotel is also conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from both the MRT and light rail stations.
AAnonymous UserEverything was good during my stay in this hotel. The lighting of the room was a bit too dim for me, but it wasn't a problem during the day as there was plenty of sunlight from the window. What I like about is that they put a coffee table and an armchair by the window, making it quite enjoyable to do some reading during the day. The location is a okay, around 10-15 minutes walk from the closest MRT station. The way to the station was clear and had a variety of local shops to explore.
PPairayaStaff is helpful.
Food is good nothing fancy.
Room is have mould in the bathroom, small but acceptable.
Location is good, near airport. If you arrive quite late time and need more rest. It's a good option.
JJazz S.Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and actually preferred our Kaohsiung stay here compared to our time in Taipei. Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient—maybe an East Asian thing where they get straight to the point—but the staff were still warm enough to make us feel welcome. The location is very convenient, just an 8-minute walk to Kaohsiung Main Station, which made getting around the city much easier.
Although the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, it wasn’t a problem since we stayed on the 3rd floor and the stairs weren’t steep enough to feel exhausting. Our room was clean, and I really appreciate that there were no bed bugs (something I heard can be an issue in some Taiwan hotels, so we made sure to check the mattress and beddings). Happy to report this one is safe.
We loved having a bathtub, and the provided shampoo and body wash smelled so good that showering felt like a treat every time. The air-conditioning was also well-maintained—we didn’t experience any problems adjusting the room temperature.
Facilities-wise, there isn’t much to explore since it’s a small hotel, but that was fine with us since we spent most of our time outside. During our stay, Typhoon Podul forced us indoors for a whole day, but the hotel’s sturdy structure made us feel safe. The water dispenser on the 2nd floor was also a lifesaver—something I think guests would really appreciate if ever stranded.
If I had to give some comments: the toilet can get a bit cloggy at times, so be mindful—it takes a while to flush down. They will let you borrow a plunger though so no worries. Also, the hallways had a faint smell of cigarettes, which I suppose is to be expected as smoking is still quite embedded in Chinese influenced culture.
All in all, a reliable place to stay in Kaohsiung.
JJasmineA great option for a short stay in Kaohsiung. It's clean, simple, and the bed was really comfortable. It offers all the essential amenities you'd expect, and the price is very reasonable. Breakfast was also quite good. The fact that they provide snacks from afternoon tea all the way to late-night is a fantastic bonus!
