GGuest UserLocation- was walkable from station, town centre, Oracle shopping centre which has Vue and Bowling Service- Staff were very friendly. Toni, Nicola, Daniel- were fab. They helped me store my special medication. They have facility for keeping luggage after checkout which was very helpful Amenities- Swimming pool, steam, sauna, gym onsite with full access with room booking. Towels available at no extra cost at the facilities. The showers were broken/ no hot water. So we used room showers for bath after using the these services. Room- was beautiful and clean with lovely large screen smart tele. There was a locker and small mini fridge in the room with tea/coffe bar, iron with iron board, hair dryer. They also provide tap water from front desk for tea etc. There was a bath and shower both! The toilet and bath did not have locks- but I was in with my kids- so worked fine. One bedside light switch was broken- but didn’t need to use this. The room temp was rather warm- front seat kindly lent us a big table fan- which was very helpful. They have bar and restaurant- we didn’t need to use these. The

GGuest UserThe location is in the center of Reading, very close to the train station, convenient for travel. The room is in another building and there are staff to help with luggage. The room is nice with a balcony. The hotel restaurant food is also OK. I went late on the day of check-in and only some dishes were available. The wine was good. The hotel made a mistake in the bill when checking out and charged me an extra fee. I negotiated with the platform and got it refunded. Overall I feel satisfied.

GGuest UserThe experience was average, you can tell the facilities are aging since the shower basin started turning yellow at parts. The duvet was also very old and not too well cleaned since it caused my eczema prone skin to breakout, which the Airbnb I stayed at in the same town did not cause.

GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay here for a wedding 15 minutes drive away. The staff were very helpful and accommodating at all times. The only comment I would like to raise is that we were given room 9 which was described as an accessible room (which we didn’t need) but it was completely inappropriate as accessible as the shower ( which was in the bath) would have been completely unsuitable for a wheelchair user, or someone else with difficulty moving who wouldn’t have been able to climb into the bath to use it. Breakfast was excellent.

SSofia sees the worldVery close to city center with access to food late at night. 15 minute walk to Train station. The room is tidy and bathroom is neat. However there is no amenities. I paid another 10 pounds to check in early at 12. The lift was not working at the time.

GGuest UserAfter requesting a quiet room due to having our 11 month old with us we were placed directly above the function suite for a wedding and while testing the sound system the floor below are feet curated and the noise was crazy. The moved us rooms out of the original Manor House we requested and into the furthest room possible from all amenities on offer smaller than our original room, 3rd floor and no lift with a baby in a pram and lots of luggage. The room was also unbearably hot and a crazy sensor/light in the bathroom kept our son (and them us) all night. Not sure if recommended staying here. .

GGuest UserVery good in terms of location, A nice little walk to the centre but far enough out that you don’t really get the noise of the late night drinkers (sat/friday). The room was a decent size for what we paid, nice shower and bathroom small but good for the money we paid. However, the room was really really hot. We had to sleep with both windows open, AC didn’t work at all. The TV has all the normal channels and it worked perfectly. The coffee machine area downstairs was helpful however they didnt give us any cups, put any available out for people to grab or tell us that they even had any. No tea bags or little things of milk which would have been helpful. The machine does make tea however we both werent sure how useful/good it would have been. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a cheap stay in reading.

88A8It was our first time booking here, and we didn't expect much for the price. Despite bad reviews, our experience was pleasant. The reception staff were polite, and the room was fine. We could hear footsteps from upstairs, and the wall was a bit damaged, likely due to refurbishing, but it didn’t bother us. Overall, everything was good, and we might return once it's fully refurbished. Thanks!
