Hotels near U-Bar, Khon Kaen

Unfortunately, it looks like the management doesn't care about the customer's health. I understand this is a budget hotel, with fair prices, but they should at least focus on cleaning the rooms properly. Stained bed sheets, towels and mould all over the bedroom as you can see in pictures.

Hotel is so dated and has not been maintained over the years. Overall not really value of money. Location is not so bad. A 10 mins walk will get you to the bars and clubs behind the hotel building. Recommend to stay on top floor so you don’t hear the loud music from the karaoke from downstairs

”Exceptional Service & Perfect Location!” I had a wonderful stay here. The entire staff was incredibly lovely and attentive. A big shout-out to the housekeeping team—they were so friendly and kept the room spotless every single day. I was especially impressed by the Hotel Manager, who went above and beyond to assist with my specific requests. It made my stay so much easier and more enjoyable. P.S. The location is a winner! It’s within walking distance of great pubs, bars, and plenty of food options. I loved everything about this place and will definitely be back!

It was okay. Convenient for getting around. I was so tired at night that I slept really well. Facilities: Decent Hygiene: Very clean Environment: Acceptable Service: I didn't have any special requests, just stayed overnight to sleep, and it felt pretty good.

The room was clean. However, it would be great if they could add more trash cans and mirrors in the main room, as currently, there's only one of each in the bathroom. Getting to the hotel using Google Maps can be a little tricky, as the path leads through a market and is quite convoluted. The staff are very attentive and helpful; they even called me to let me know I had forgotten my phone charger.

Pros: The price was affordable, the staff were very helpful, and the room itself was incredibly spacious. I especially liked that the bathroom was well-designed with separate zones for the shower, toilet, and sink. The air conditioning was effective, and the bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable. Areas for improvement: There was no hairdryer in the room; guests had to borrow one from the front desk and return it after use. Facial tissues were also not provided. The location is a bit out of the city center compared to major hotels, so you'll likely need a car or a ride-sharing service like Grab to get around. Walking to tourist attractions might be a bit far, but this is a fair trade-off considering the price. Additionally, the face and bath towels were a bit old/worn, and while the bathroom wasn't spotless, it was perfectly functional. Summary: Overall, the hotel was clean, the staff were good, and despite a few missing amenities, it offered excellent value for money and a comfortable night's sleep, which is all that really matters.

Though this is one of the city’s older hotels, it’s impressively well-maintained and continuously improved. The attentive staff, excellent cleanliness, and quality amenities made for a very pleasant stay. Highlights and Impressions From the moment of arrival, the hospitality stood out. The team greeted us warmly, and the bell staff were quick to assist with luggage and loading or unloading the car. Overflow parking is conveniently located in a nearby covered structure, and a small shuttle cart is available if needed. Our Deluxe Double Room was spotless and comfortable. Linens and towels were clean and in great shape, and the room felt freshly updated. A newly installed 43” Samsung Smart TV worked perfectly for streaming via Fire Stick, and the walk-in shower provided strong water pressure and consistent hot water. Toiletries included shampoo, body wash, shower cap, and cotton swabs. The only downside was that slippers were unavailable during our stay. Breakfast offered a satisfying variety with a made-to-order egg station, boiled eggs, fresh salads, and a mix of Thai and Western items. The salad was crisp and fresh, though the butter substitute and instant coffee were a bit disappointing. Espresso and cappuccino drinks are available for an additional charge. The pool area is inviting but lacks enough lounge chairs — a small improvement that would make a big difference. The fitness center, however, was excellent, featuring modern, well-maintained machines, cardio and weight equipment, and a designated space for stretching or boxing. The wellness center provides great value as well — a relaxing 90-minute foot massage costs only 240 baht (about $7.50). The room was spacious, almost excessively so, leaving quite a bit of unused space. While two chairs are provided, a small sofa or lounge would make the room feel more complete. It balances old-school Thai hospitality with modern amenities and excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself had good facilities but no extra facilities like a pool or gym. Rooms are spacious. No breakfast on site, but Khon Kaen hotel is next door and their buffet was very good with proper coffee and everything. The location is very central. Only 3 kms from the Natural History museum! Overall I was very satisfied. I want to stay there again!

Nice enough spot with a good location,staff seemed a little bit undertrained in my opinion,pool was ok but pool bar staff not very enthusiastic just sit there waiting,room service was hard work didn't seem to understand basic English,as any hotel pros and cons for the price its fine and it was good enough for a short stay

Cosy place to stay. The room was spacious for our group’s daily gathering and discussions. Only thing is that there’s no kettle in each room, only 1 shared one that has to be borrowed from the lobby
