"It's not luxurious, but it's satisfying with the hot springs, the variety of breakfasts, and the free ice cream after the hot springs.
It's easy to find, just go straight from Matsumoto Station.
There's a machine for CHECK-IN, so it's easy."
"Clean hotel and very nice lobby.
The room itself was clean, but a bit expensive.
Free amenities in the room were nice and two 500ml bottles of water were also provided.
The breakfast was wonderful. Would highly recommend giving it a try.
We had originally booked for 1 person and upgraded to two (nothing changed about the room. Still same room just permission for one extra person to sleep there.) and it was almost as expensive as booking a second room. It would have been much cheaper to cancel the reservation we had and rebook it online for two people. Maybe not a common situation but do not upgrade at the hotel itself."

"The hotel is only a 20 minute walk from the Upper Highland Bus Station. The public areas have been refurbished and the facilities are better. The rooms are old-fashioned hotel style, pillows and beds are just as usual. Good dinner. Take the child and don't want to toss, spend money to buy a convenient."

"The location is easy is find. It’s a traditional japanese style ryokan. Even though most of the signs and instructions are in japanese, the service staff took the time to show and explain the facilities and amenities available to us in English. The service staff also took time to explain all the dishes served and the meal was delicious. Would consider to stay in the ryokan again."
"Amazing!!! Will definitely come back in the future...room rates are pricey but you get what you paid for. Food was like dining in a Michelin star restaurant. They have different types of onsen to suit your needs, from spacious onsen bath to deep bath and bed type bath."
"It seems like it has recently been renovated, so some of the basic parts are still old, but it was well-maintained and the facility was clean. I think the meals were well-balanced without being too heavy on meat.
The bath is said to come from a hot spring source, but it was so hot that I had to be careful to get into it. However, I think the power of the hot springs is that I was able to stay in light clothes until the morning without getting cold. If the changing room is dark, you will not feel safe, so I think it would be better if it was a little brighter.
I think the distance between the staff was just right, but since my luggage was heavy, I wish I had an elevator."

"After playing in the upper highlands, take the car and change the car at Zedu (k20). After getting off the bus at Baigu Hot Spring, it is in the case. An elderly person will ask you about the hotel you booked, and then call the hotel. The hotel has a car to pick up (although not far away, it is all up the mountain road). The service attitude was very good, the front desk met a Hong Kong person, very patient to help us plan the next day's itinerary. The hot springs are open-air."

Amazing
GginiginginThis is my second time staying at this chain hotel. Very happy with the hotel. Be it the friendly services, cleanliness and best of all the onsen that come with free ice cream and nightly supper.
DDavidHotel is centrally located between the river and train station, with a good size cafe located on ground level. Indoor car park is available for a fee of 1,200 yen. Many restaurants are scattered around and within walking distance.
Will stay here again when we return to Matsumoto

IInstandyFukashiso could be one of the loveliest accommodation that I have ever stayed at. The staff were very polite, attentive and extremely helpful and courteous. The place itself is so beautiful and quaint. Traditional garments are provided as an option if you want to dress up for dinner. Made for great photo ops! The Kaiseki was the most beautiful equivalent of a degustation I’ve tried, and it was served in a lovely separate intimate dining area. During dinner Nobu-San a fourth generation family member of the owners greeted us which was a lovely touch. Soba was freshly made at the accomodation. We stayed two nights and the Kaiseki menu was different each time. Breakfast was a nice assortment of Japanese and Western options and the coffee machine was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the onsens, there are two public ones that switch locations for men and women and a private one. They were well equipped and relaxing. Our room was on Level 1 with a private bathroom, seating area and little garden view. Overall this place is highly recommended. For a traditional ryokan experience, it was so nice. Even after we checked out, the receptionist gave us a little gift, and even walked us outside to where our car was parked. Such a warm and lovely place. Stay here for sure!
KKunyingExcellent location, just a 5-minute walk from Matsumoto Station! Spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious room for Japan. The free simple supper (ramen or croffle ice cream) was a nice touch. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious with a huge variety of options. Highly recommend this hotel for its convenience and value.

DDerrickcdhHotel services, staff was excellent. Location is a little out of the way, we went to the K-26 bus top at Kamikochi after a trip up and they had shuttle buses there to pick us up for a 5 minute drive up to the hotel, so the location is not exactly accessible
Greeted warmly by the staff, introduced us to the meal location and Onsen.
Room was a small, but about what was stated by their website.
Meal was pleasant as well, not everything suited my taste, but i can tell it was cooked with a lot of effort.
Onsen was of decent size, and the water was a lot better than other places i have been, i even quite like the shampoo they used.
Went down to Matsumoto on their provided shuttle service, which is an excellent service. Overall, this Ryokan is an excellent stay for families and couples, priced decently as well.
GGuest UserI booked 2 rooms for 1 night for 8 people, 1 room was great but 1 other was so small, even with the same price. So you probably would like to request bigger room if you book for 4 people. Other than that, everything was great. It has lounge room and even onsen. The location was the best, very close to the station.
KKia Yuan WongHotel is just a stone throw away from the Matsumoto train station. You have to do self check in. I arrived at the hotel early and hotel staff allowed me to leave my luggage at three hotel while I walk around town till check in time. Many amenities around the area for food. The bus terminal is just opposite the hotel. Visited Matsumoto castle and the city alps park. The park is a must go. You can either hike there or take the city bus from the bus terminal.
AAnonymous UserA supermarket TSURUYA Nagisa is 450 meters away, and a familymart is 600 meters away. I didn't expect the hardware to be good, better than the previous one Matsumoto Hills, and much better than Sagamihara Crown Hills. But, I can say something about the breakfast, the hot milk tea in the beverage machine is so delicious
