JW Marriott Mauritius Resort

JW Marriott Mauritius is literally like heaven on earth. From the services to the food, everything was impeccable 👌! We loved our stay here. Kids had so much to do too. We didn't leave the resort for any sightseeings. We enjoyed everything about this place. Will highly recommend honeymooners to consider this place for your honeymoon. Really really had a great time here! They also surprised me with a birthday set-up in my room. The butler service was really great too. The buggy will pick us up to send us to anywhere we want. Will truly miss this place when we get back home. Hope to come back here again someday.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

Excellent resort, wonderful staff who is accommodating to every need. Great breakfast and assor**ent of restaurants. Beautiful rooms and wonderful beach.

Mauritius is a beautiful island with lovely friendly people. The JW Marriott improves on this! It is set in a beautiful location with a fantastic beach, exemplary staff who cannot of enough for their guests, and 5 restaurants that serve fantastic food. My wife and I are big fans, and will return on day in the near future.

Generally speaking we loved our stay at JW Marriott Mauritius Resort really. We were overwhelmed by the setting and the detail, with which was taking care of us during our stay. From the very first moment the friendliness as well as the effort of each member of staff for making this holiday a very unique one was simply amazing. The exchange prior to our stay regarding special diets etc. was helpful, as one of us needs gluten free bread. This makes the difference between a normal hotel and a place as yours - but also sets high expectations. At our arrival we had a warm welcome and the check in procedure was very pleasant. The service and caring of the butler team was great as well as the service of the housekeeping and cleaning staff, spa and watersports activity centre. One true highlight was the stargazing on friday night. You are very blessed with this lovey and intelligent astronomer. On our first morning we had a warm welcome at the Boathouse for breakfast, and as soon as we mentioned our room number, the member of staff knew, that we would need gluten free bread - what a start of the day. :) All expectations were met. Additional we were promised to get gluten free pastry for the next day. However the following mornings the service at the breakfast buffet was not even the same as on the first morning. We always had to ask for the gluten free bread, unfortunately the promised pastry was not available during the whole week. Sadly there was only one type of bread withi

Its a good hotel. All the staff try hard but some of the younger members are far from polished. We had a direct beachfront room, good size quite old fashioned and in need of refurb very soon. They are carrying out some planting directly in front of room and to protect areas fenced off using yellow plastic tape. Pretty unsightly in an £800 per nt hotel. There are many far more attractive solutions to fence off this area.However biggest disappoin**ent was quality of food in restaurants, there was nothing particuarly bad but frankly.the meals were not great as i have come to expect at other 5 star hotels in Mauritius eg Oberoi,Prince Maurice ,but in fairness those experiences were a long while ago. We chose the half board option which is very expensive and and far from a cheap option(in fact a la carte maybe cheaper unless your are gluttons)and there are FAR too many dishes with a supplement. Given the cost this is insulting Notable staff members were butler Vikram, Neha and Venice who is trying his u**ost to keep standards of service high in the restaurants. All in all a very good hotel but unlikely i will stay again.
