Great
GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
LLawIt is close to the airport, and the hotel shuttle can be reserved to the airport as early as 06:00. There is no convenience store within walking distance, so you have to drive for about ten minutes to reach the shops and restaurants. Fortunately, residents can enjoy discounted parking. There are not many breakfast options, but it is sufficient, but there are few seats. The room space is sufficient and comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are ideal. However, the hotel does not have swimming pools and other recreational facilities, which is more convenient for passengers in transit or for short stays.
GGuest UserWe arrived Melbourne at about 23:00 and will be leaving for a 08:30 flight the next morning. The good thing is the hotel is very close to the airport but it's a bit hard to find the entrance. Hotel room is clean and the front-desk staff is very helpful.
SSY1610The room space is good and mostly clean. Toilet amenities are available only upon request. Pillows are ok in my opinion. The lobby and reception is at Level 2. The staff service is friendly, always up for a conversation, very helpful team members. Large spaces in lobby lounge for groups. Breakfast spread is standard buffet and sufficient but wouldn’t say it’s amazingly divine. Location is super convenient, near southern cross train station, tram stop, and walkable to anywhere. Lots of cafés around.
DDr. Justin HattThe stay was small as I only needed it for one night, but the room itself was also quite small. The room had a single bed on wheels that would move very freely whenever I tried to sit down on it. The bathroom, however, was the most surprising as it was way too small, even for just myself. I noticed the toilet was rather close to the sink, so I tried to sit on the toilet and I physically could not do it because the sink was in the way of my legs. I had to walk sideways into the shower to use it and water was shooting very fast at the wall opposite, so showering was tricky. There is also a lift / elevator that is currently out of commission and pears to being repaired, yet the sign for the other lift appears not to be installed correctly.
This is quite the disappointment for a Best Western hotel and the discounted cost of $90 was still too much to pay for what I received. I would possibly tolerate paying $60 - $70 per night for a room like that (at regular price) just because of the location and literally nothing else, but it is not worth the regular cost of well over $100 per night and there are less expensive hotels nearby that provide bigger and better rooms.
บบัณฑิตาVery good service. Here very good. Staff so nice. We have night flight we can left the luggage here by no need to pay anything more. Just we would like to give you improve about some cleaning because a lot of dust in the room makes us cough because of dust and winter should have some hotel slippers in the room. Everything good and connivence. Thank you. We feel very happy rest here when travel at Melbourne.
PPaulineUpon arriving at the Novotel Hotel main entrance , (Single lane traffic) the driver refused to stop right in front of the hotel side of the road, instead he is insisted to drop us at the opposite side of the road. About 30m from the hotel. Stating that No dropping off passenger is allowed in front of the hotel; and it will block the traffic if he does so.
KKarinaCannot fault the staff however the amenities need overhaul. The rooms TV didn’t work was advised couldn’t be fixed until the following day. Went to use hairdryer to find out no power points on that side of room were working. Again advised cant be fixed straight away. Had to use TV as a mirror for blow drying hair! Then we continued to get calls after 10pm from reception checking if everything was alright despite being told it cannot be fixed. Really disappointing. On a positive to GM and receptionist Cheryl were outstanding in trying to assist and did remove some charges.
GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing.
Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash.
Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised.
Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it.
Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great
GGuest UserGreat location close to the races. Room was very nice with a great style. The pool area had great views of the city. Bed was comfy and whole room was very clean. I would definitely stay again or recommend to anyone.
