We have had the loveliest of stays here! It is a very friendly hotel, and it felt like an authentic modern Japanese experience. The buffet for dinner and breakfast were amazing, with lots of fresh fish and salads. We were travelling for a special birthday, and the hotel kindly gave us a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate, which was a lovely touch! The onsen (sento) was quite an experience. It is separate for men and women, and has a beautiful outdoor pool with views over the bay, which is highly recommended! We had a Mountain View room, but this didn’t detract from the enjoyment at all. There is not really a bar to have pre-dinner drinks, but there is a gift shop which sells beer and wine to enjoy in your room. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d highly recommend it to all travellers!

This time we arrived in Sendai late at night on the Shinkansen, so it was only a breakfast plan, but the breakfast buffet has a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, and some of the tables are partitioned so you can relax without worrying about your surroundings. good. Even though I checked in late at night, they kindly waited on me, such as issuing coupons, and the free drink bar for guests was open in the lobby until around 21:00, which was very helpful. Hotels around Sendai Station are particularly expensive these days, so I felt that it was the best hotel for business purposes besides sightseeing because it was possible to stay at a reasonable price with a large communal bath and dinner and breakfast.

It feels clean and bright, the breakfast is good, and the hotel is not far from the subway station, which is quite convenient. I stayed here for 5 days at this price and felt comfortable. The only thing was the pillows were numb. I will stay here again next time.

I am so glad I chose Komatsu-kan during my stay in Matsushima. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. When I told him I am a vegetarian, he kindly informed the kitchen to exclude animal flesh and seafood from my meal. (Usually, hotels ignored my food request, or they just gave me tofu and pickles for my meal.) The next morning, I was so surprised to see my breakfast. I loved the fresh salad, steamed vegetables, over-easy eggs, chawan-mushi, and the pickles even tasted better than before. Then the room surprised me with the pine tree and the beautiful sea view. The next morning I woke up at 4:45 to see the sunrise. Just from my room, I could see the sun slowly rising from the other side of the sea. Stunning! I really enjoyed the little Me time here. Actually, this hotel is well-maintained, and that helps raise the value of it. I also love the fresh little flowers right next to the washing basin. And the people working here are quite ya-sa-shi. They are kind and gentle. Generally speaking, this is a nice place worth staying and relaxing in.

The location is good, just a few steps away from Sendai Subway Station and Sendai Train Station. In addition to large department stores nearby, you can get to Ichiban in five minutes. The hotel is unique and has Sendai specialties, beef tongue and edamame ice cream for breakfast. , the price is reasonable and worth recommending!
