Quality Inn

An ideal place to stay. Walking distance to downtown and many amenities. The adjoining cafe/restaurant is very convenient and seems to attract a number of people from off premises - a good sign. Staffe were attentive and efficient and flexible in allowing us to check out one hour later as we were attending to a medical issue. Because it is new it still looks fresh but some attention to finish and general upkeep need to be addressed. The hallways need to be vacuumed. The perspex light panels of the elevator have accumulated dirt which needs attention. There were three "Out of Service" notices, gym, bathroom and one other. Not a great start in a new build. The heating system in our room (321) was quite noisy. The issues noted above may just be teething or staffing problems but with a bit more eye to the little details, this a still a much needed addition to downtown Nanaimo and we wish you well in the future.

Very limited parking, elevator smelled terrible all the time. It was quiet, had good water pressure. Reasonably clean.

They have all of the amenities that you could want except for breakfast and a tub. The facilities are very modern and quite attractive. I was pleased to see that they included tea that you could get anytime along with the coffee. Close to Old City Square restaurants.

It’s a fine place to stay if you don’t want anything above a bed in a room that’s very clean. The blackout blinds are excellent! No frills here… I’m sure our queen bed was actually just a double. But the rooms are very clean - no complaints in that area!

I thought it was standard for housekeeping to make your bed and replenish toiletries and coffee and such. After two nights stay I had to ask for them to come in and do the housekeeping. When I returned in the afternoon the bed still was not made and the coffee was not there so I had to ask the front desk to have the maid come in and replace the coffee and make the bed. As Petty as that sounds when you spend $150 a night I believe the bed should be made by the housekeeping staff.

Bright and clean. Nicely appointed rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great little café attached. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, free underground parking, nice large rooms, fast WiFi, overall good experience except there is nothing fun to do around but that’s more so the city and not the hotel

Asked for a upgrade to a king size bed but didn’t acknowledge because i booked through ******* even though its not busy. Room was freezing. Took about well over a hour to warm up room. Trying to save a buck i guess. Doesn’t surprise me a bit.
