Very pretty villa! Was a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop as it is quite deep in, but the views from the villa were terrific. At night the host conducted a brief lesson about the stars in the sky and taught us how to see the Big Dipper and the North Star. Very beautiful! We were lucky that we stayed 2 nights as the first night the sky was too cloudy so there were no stars to be seen. Managed to spot them on our second night there.

Most stays within Cingjing has no elevator/ lift, so be prepared to carry your luggages up & down some stairs within the compound. Room was as per advertised. Spacious enough for a family of 4. Toothbrush, comb, shavers and towels are available too. Staff was good and clear of information. Just be mindful that after 8pm onwards, there would be no staff around - so you would require to remember the password of the main entrance. NOTE: There's no English T&Cs, so be prepared to have your Google translator on your phone if you can't read Chinese. Constant hot water for shower would be from 5PM to 12PM daily. If you would to shower earlier in the morning, you would require let the water run for awhile before the hot water is available otherwise you may have to shower with icy cold water. Generally, you would require a transport within Cingjing else it's not accessible for you to grab food or your necessities from the 7-11. Breakfast is available at NT$200/pax from 7:30AM - 9AM. Brunch is available at ala carte prices ranging from NT$150 onwards from 9AM - 2PM. Restaurants are available within Cingjing if you have your own transportation. Otherwise, you may wish to call the cafe located at the Swiss Garden, they do offer food delivery but be sure to check on their operating hours. 😀

The best part about this hotel (国民賓館) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel. The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests. The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

The difference is that the common room is upstairs in the superior room downstairs, but the upstairs is not particularly high. The balcony view is partially blocked by the roof of the wooden house below, but not as close to the mountain view. Many people should take their children to live, and we hear children's voices upstairs and downstairs. The room is still cold in winter and there is no warm air in the air conditioner. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The toilets can be seen to have been renovated. The shower room is large enough and very comfortable. The balcony is picturesque and the view is refreshing :D The only disappointment was that as soon as I entered the lobby, an employee wearing glasses asked me to put my cup next to the window. He was so impatient that I and the rest of the house were at a loss. We didn't have enough time to check in. Put your luggage away immediately and go out. Fortunately, I met another employee from Macau who spoke Cantonese and helped me check in. He was very enthusiastic and introduced the surrounding transportation attractions and tips.
