Sofianna Resort & Spa

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It is immaculately clean and looked after and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The guest relations manager Greta is an absolute asset to the hotel. We had a slight issue with noisy neighbours (not the hotels fault) and Greta could not have been more helpful. We were able to move rooms and she checked in with us everyday when she seen us around the hotel to make sure we were happy which we were. I am not usually a fan of going all inclusive as I am usually weary of buffet style food. However, the food was great every single night. Different theme each night and the food was so fresh. You are able to see the chefs cooking the food in front of you and replenishing it regularly. The head chef is always around the restaurant chatting to people and making sure everyone is happy. I will definitely return to this hotel as I have never stayed anywhere before that has made me feel so welcome. Thank you

Lovely clean spacious rooms Good food Plenty of places to relax and to swim. The local area is very nice lots of places to eat. Friendly staff Spa is exceptional value. Lovely staff. Very relaxing and calm.

We arrived on a late night flight and upon arrival at the hotel (just before midnight), staff were already on hand with sandwiches and bottles of water, which was definitely needed after a long travel day. The staff were very quick to get a lot of people checked in as quickly as possible, but ensuring all questions were answered. When we got to our room, we were really impressed by the size and decor in the room. It was comfortable and modern with a lovely balcony view to the pool. The location was perfect, a short 5 minute walk from the coast with lovely walks either way. You’re close to local treasures like the archeological sites and harbour. The food in the hotel was fantastic with a really good selection that catered to all dietary requirements. There are different themes for dinner each night (the Mexican night on Friday was particularly good). The staff were all so friendly and helpful and there’s always someone on hand, special thanks to Greta and George. Bars are well stocked and the hotels pools and facilities were all exceptional. We will definitely be back!

Manager Paola Therapists Rania and Joanna were absolutely amazing, so friendly and very accommodating. We had our first massage here and definitely would highly recommend to anybody. They made us feel very relaxed and were very kind and accommodating.

Just returned from a five night stay and had a great time. Rooms are big clean and modern with very good Air conditioning. All the staff in the hotel are truly amazing, so friendly and customer focused, nothing was too much trouble . The food was very good with a lot of choice, but wish there was more Cypriot and Greek food on offer. The head chef worked so hard and always being polite when serving , all the waiting staff in the restaurant worked so hard cleaning tables and fetching drinks . Bar staff were very friendly and smiling all the time. My only two negative comments about the hotel is the drinks. You only get the local drinks included and the cocktails are not very nice because of this . You can have the better brands but you need to pay for them . The other frustrating thing was you had to pay for bottled water, in all the inclusive resorts I have stayed at this has always been included, just seems such a petty penny pinching excercise. That's the only reason I have not put 5 stars in this review.

Overall great hotel. Location 10/15 minutes walk to the harbour (area around the hotel is under construction but don't let this put you off) 15 minutes walk to Sodap beach (sandy beach with toilets, etc). 5 minutes to bar street (Robin Hood has games on the table for children) Moorings and captains bistro down the harbour front also have play areas Greeted on arrival and had our luggage taken to our room and a brief tour around the hotel which was a nice touch Pool towels €10 refundable deposit which you pay for at reception but collect from the spa. These can also be changed throughout your stay. Had an issue with our room and was moved to another room. They said rooms were identical but one had a shower, one had a bath. Bath was better for us with a 2yr old. Pools - we spent most our time round the childrens area/swim up pool - never had any issues getting sunbeds no matter what time we turned up. Childrens waterslides were only open 1030-1230 & 2-4. Park area also good as is the volleyball area. Laundrette came in good use and was €4 took around 30 mins. Restaurant - always a good choice of food. Staff always friendly and helpful. I have a fussy 2yr old who pretty much ate plain pasta and fruit for the entire stay. Would be good to have pizzas/hot dogs added for children each night. Although the themed nights were advertised on the electronic board outside the restaurant would also be good to have this maybe in the rooms aswel as spa options available. Entertainment - evening entertainment, didn't really rate it but might be as it was still out of season. Improvements: Kids disco is too early when the restaurant only opens at 7pm. 730pm either needs to be moved out or dinner moved slightly earlier. Kids club opening hours - personally this would be better to match the slide opening times as it's the afternoon you want to get out the sun. A safety release button on the door above children height would also work well in here. Childrens shallow pool is really slippy on the slope if you don't have pool shoes on. Would be better if it was different tiles on the slope. Bedroom doors. Again with a toddler a safety catch to stop them opening the door would also come in handy. Having bed guards available would also be a good bonus. Overall fab stay and would come back.

Wow. Best hotel i’ve ever stayed in. Staff couldn’t be any more attentive! Every last bite someone is ready to clean up your plate. Every last sip, someone is ready to refill. You won’t go hungry here - as a fussy vegetarian there was something for everyone! All four of us enjoyed every single meal, we planned to eat out once a day, but ended up where we didnt want to miss a day here so we didnt! Came back with more spending money than I left with (due to winning the hotel bingo twice- which was great fun!) Really pleasant time. My only feedback would be having vegetarian sandwiches upon arrival (our flight arrived after evening meal and we were given ham and cheese sandwiches). Bathroom needed a little TLC but the room itself was gorgeous and clean. Free safe was a added bonus! One thing I would’ve liked would be a info booklet/leaflet in the room regarding how to book spa etc, meal themes etc. wouldve been the cherry on top! Really appreciated the birthday extra, so special. And who knew you could get an all inclusive sunday lunch! WOW. I expected the food to be bog standard all inclusive but it really was luxury, and so tasty. Nothing else to say but wow.

Staff were amazing, always welcoming, entertainment was very good and the team were also very helpful! To reply to the review below about the bingo, I can confirm I was the 5* time winner of bingo, and that the game was definitely not fixed. We was just as shocked as everyone else and this is also the reason why we spoke to the entertainment team briefly after the games due to both parties being so shocked about the outcome. The reason for becoming friends was because most the entertainment team were of a similar age to us as us being one of the only young couples at the hotel at the time. Overall a great holiday and would definitely recommend.
