Fantastic hotel with excellent location. Very pleasant, helpful and good staff. Rooms delicious spacious, beds wide and ok. Breakfast, dinner and bar excellent. Hygiene good. Punt for improvement: we had great problems in all rooms( we had 5) it was difficult, if not impossible to turn off the AC. Not everyone wants to sleep in AC! Full beautiful garden up to the Surinam River, with many kinds of birds!

In Paramaribo there are several beautiful places to stay. This is not my first stay in Suriname. This time I chose to experience Torarica Royal. I booked the luxury garden room. I got a room with 1 palm tree and a view of the parking place. I asked to arrange another room, otherwise cancellation and I go somewhere else. I got a better room. Well, beautiful and spacious room with a balcony. Well, it's good for that money, but not all rooms have a balcony, so a tip: book a room in Torarica Royal, book a room with a view to a swimming pool. All rooms on all floors are just better in terms of view. Eating is not cheap, but fantastic presentation and the service is sublime. Breakfast is very moderate. In affordable hotels in Paramaribo you have a lot better breakfast. The swimming pool is 1.75 deep and the stairs are very high. If you have physical limitations, you cannot swim and is not suitable for children. If you are going to Royal, you can also use the swimming pool in Torarica Resort. But this was close , at least when I was there, I couldn't use it. Maybe limited open? The location is naturally good, in the heart of the center. Oh yes, if you take a taxi from and to Torarica, it is directly more expensive. All in all, no t****e time for me. I don't even want to post a photo 🙈. See my other reviews about Paramaribo. Hotel Palacio took great care of us during a stressful travel period. We were traveling from Georgetown Guyana (where my phone was stolen) to three different destinations on different travel schedules. Hotel Palacio helped us coordinate our travel (to and from the international and local airports) in taxis and busses. They made us feel safe and secure in a very comfortable and homey environment. And they take VISA. All things two American couples are looking for when they arrive in Paramaribo. I highly recommend staying here
