Paris 7th arrondissement-Palais-Bourbon Hotels

Great little hotel, with tiny rooms as one finds in Paris, with barely enough room to get around the bed, and closet basically a bar to hang things and shelf in the room, so sort of like sleeping in your closet. On the plus side: air conditioning, private bathroom, on site breakfast, walking distance to metro. Incredibly friendly staff, they helped us book museum pass, Eiffel tour, river cruise, when the booking options for Paris activities can be confusing and overwhelming.

Rooms are EXTREMELLY small, we had 4 beds and we had to place the luggage on the beds permanently. The bathroom is also extra small, you can pee and wash your face at the same time, CERO counter space. Shower SLIPPERY be careful. There was no electronic key for our room, we had an old school key that you have to hold the handle weird to lock the door. The trash can containers were located right outside our room, on the first floor. The pics on the website have the Eiffel Tower in them and of the 3 rooms we had, none had that view. Def would not stay there again

We were a family of five with two boys and a girl. We booked a double and triple room and requested they be near each other. We were on the 5th floor and the triple room had distant views of Eiffel Tower. The showers were great and beds were comfortable enough. The air conditioning worked well in the mid 80 degree weather. The elevator is tiny and can likely only fit one person with one suitcase at a time. We did not eat at the hotel but opted to eat at one of the street cafes. We would stay here again.

Very good location and safe, next to M Vaneau. The front desk personnel, the lady at the breakfast bar and the tech were all very polite and courteous, they were even friendly and kind. This makes me want to return to this hotel, only because they made me feel taken care of. The only thing I would recommend is changing the old carpet in the bedrooms or exposing the natural wood that might be hiding underneath. Otherwise, everything was excellent. Not an elegant hotel, but the nicest people taking care of their guests.

8 mins walk from St Pancreas, perfect if going on to France. We had room 5, the garden room. We had 4 single beds which were very comfortable. The room was immaculate, spacious and very clean. Definitely would go back there. The breakfast was lovely, but no vegan butter or milk which was disappointing.

Pros 1. Really good location: Major tourist attractions in downtown Paris (especially the Eiffel Tower, the Rochem Museum, etc.) can walk around 2. Cleanliness: Room (including bathroom) is very clean Improvement point 1. Bad breakfast: Every day the same menu/ cold boiled eggs/ instant fruit fure/ less food variety (boring from the second meal) 2. No free drinking water in the room 3.WIFI Incredibly slow speed: Even normal work is impossible (even better not to provide WIFI) 4. No slippers in the room (you should always wear a shoe on a dirty carpet)

The location of the hotel is very good, next to the Invalides. The rooms are in line with European exquisite characteristics. Although there is no lobby, the service is very good. The room is quite spacious, especially the bathroom is quite big enough. The hotel’s breakfast is also good, the Western-style breakfast is rich in variety and exquisite.

I first stayed at this Hotel in 2014 and was very impressed with the entire experience, so I valued this hotel and always wanted to return… 8 years later and I was extremely disappointed. I booked a superior villa room, and we was given room 6. This room is located on the ground floor directly behind the reception reception desk on the ground floor. The receptionist (skinny white male, 40+ years old) who checked us in on 15/12/22 at 11:30pm was very rude, awkward and sarcastic during the check in process. When we got to our room, we felt it lacked privacy being on the ground floor with only a wall between us and the main reception area, the Toilet was also in a separate room with no sink, meaning anyone who uses that toilet would need to open the door with their dirty hands and walk all the way to the bathroom to wash hands. There were also mascara stains on one of the pillows. We requested if we could change to another room on a higher floor but to the same level for what we had paid for (superior villa room). The receptionist said this was fine, and changed us over to another room on the 5th floor. We were really happy and grateful until we got to the room, only to find this room was actually a downgrade to a ‘classic villa room’ which felt much smaller and wasn’t very nice. This also wasn’t explained to us prior to him changing our rooms over. We returned to reception and asked why we had been out in a downgraded room, his response was he didn’t realise and this was a mistake in his behalf. I asked him if there were any other rooms to the same value as what I had paid for the superior room available on another floor. I was told out of the entire hotel there was only two rooms left, the one behind reception, or the classic room on the 5th floor which would be a downgrade. We reluctantly opted to stay with the original room behind reception. The receptionist was very smug and seemed to find this funny. After settling in and falling asleep… 6:30am a motorbike wakes us up, as our room is located beside the main entrance and reception we hear every car or motorbike dropping off, or picking up guests, and every person checking in or out. 7:15am the bins are collected, again very loud and as our room is right next to this area we hear it all. It really seems standards have significantly dropped since we last stayed. Service seems to be poor and cleanliness of the hotel not as good as before, an overall terrible experience and if it wasn’t so late when we checked in I would’ve booked another hotel because the receptionist was so rude. On a side note, I must also say there was another receptionist who was working the night shift the following day (16/12/22) around 10pm and he was very friendly, helpful and a nice person. If I could give him 5 stars I would, but unfortunately the experience with the initial receptionist meant our experience was already tainted by this point. I doubt we will ever return unfortunately, and cannot recommend, unless your guaranteed a decent room on a higher floor.

A lovely hotel full of charm and in a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Junior suit was perfect for family of 4 with 2 children. Breakfast was great and meant we could head straight out without finding food first. Front desk very helpful, booked taxis and kept our bags pre check in. Would definitely stay again.
