I absolutely loved the service at this hotel! I was traveling with my dog, so I specifically looked for a pet-friendly hotel. To my surprise, when I checked in, I received a package of dog treats (a pack of Crazy Dog chicken jerky). I also told the front desk staff that I hoped to find a room where my dog wouldn't disturb others (because if it's too close to the elevator or an outside area where people pass, my dog might bark). The staff found me a very quiet room, and my dog barely made a sound! Plus, all the staff members were incredibly friendly towards animals. The room itself was typical Atour – very clean and comfortable. And the surprises kept coming! When we checked out, the front desk staff heard we were driving and even gave us a special little driving gift package! All in all, this hotel truly warmed my heart!

They also proactively offered to help guests take photos if needed. Their thoughtful gestures made us feel completely at home, like family. My son and the owner's son had a blast playing together, haha, keeping each other company. The owner's wife even gave us some handmade coffee soap – how talented! The location is simply unbeatable. The beach is right across from the hotel, perfect for walks and exploring during low tide. There's also a playground nearby where kids can run wild, making it ideal for families with children. Everything you need for dining, entertainment, and fun is right at your fingertips. Whether you're on a self-driving vacation, a relaxing beach getaway, or a family trip, this is the top choice. I genuinely recommend it and will definitely stay here again next time! Personal Travel Tips: 1. For adults, I suggest bringing at least one light windbreaker as the temperature difference between morning and evening can be quite significant, making it very chilly. If children will be out in the evening, a light fleece windbreaker would be best. (This is just my personal feeling, as I get cold easily, but my husband was fine with a short-sleeved shirt and a light windbreaker). 2. During low tide, you can go crabbing across from the hotel. Small fishing boats also return with their catches, where you can buy a limited variety of seafood. For a wider selection and better value, I recommend navigating to Nanjiang Pier around 2:30 PM. We went before heading home, and there were quite a few people buying. It's about a 20-minute drive. 3. If you're self-driving, consider bringing camping gear for playing in the sand and flying kites on the beach. If it gets cold, you can retreat into your tent.

This newly opened Hampton by Hilton boasts a very convenient location, close to the subway station with an abundance of dining options nearby. Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and convenience stores are all easily accessible, along with many other restaurants of varying sizes. The old Qingdao specialty restaurant next door serves particularly delicious food. The room was very clean, the bedding was neat, and the facilities were brand new. The front desk staff, Yulia, was friendly and promptly addressed any requests. The breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes, and the freshly cooked noodles were very popular. Staying here made our trip very hassle-free. Five-star rating!

As the very first point of contact upon entering, the front desk truly demonstrated that they have the guests' best interests at heart, anticipating needs before they even arise. We stayed at the hotel for five days in late September 2026. The location is excellent; May 4th Square is just 100 meters away across the street to the right—you step out of the hotel and immediately see the famous red sculpture. For fans of fresh draft beer, there are four or five shops across the street that sell it, dispensing it into plastic bottles of various sizes. The metro station is 250 meters away; you simply exit the hotel, walk left along the avenue to the main street, and turn left. The station is convenient because three lines—2, 3, and 8—pass through it, allowing you to reach almost any tourist attraction without transfers. The hotel is quite clean, though unfortunately, while toothbrushes, toothpaste, and hair conditioner were listed as amenities, only shampoo and shower gel were actually provided. There is also no refrigerator in the room, which is inconvenient for stays longer than two days, though you can use the one at reception. The staff consists of young people who do not speak English, yet they respond instantly to any request made via a translation app; I appreciate their professionalism. Breakfast is repetitive but quite filling; after eating at 7:00 AM, I didn't feel hungry until lunchtime at 2:00 PM. There is underground parking, though I am not sure if guests are permitted to use it. To the right of the entrance, there is a small coffee shop, followed by a small store selling drinks, cigarettes, umbrellas, and the like. To the left is the entrance to KFC, and a McDonald's is located 100 meters further along the opposite side of the avenue. There are also restaurants, convenience stores, and souvenir shops on the opposite side of the walkway; everything stays open until 10 or 11 PM. Getting a taxi can be tricky since the area in front of the hotel is a pedestrian zone where cars cannot pull up; however, you can walk 50 meters to the main street to hail one, or find taxis waiting across from the square. If you are taking a taxi to the hotel, it is best to ask the driver to drop you off across from May 4th Square rather than giving the hotel address; otherwise, they might drop you off on the other side of the building—near the metro station—which is a bit further away. Since the building is large (the hotel occupies only a small section on the second floor), it can be hard to find at first. However, considering the price and location, and if you are willing to overlook a few minor flaws, you won't find a better combination. For the first few days of my stay in Qingdao, I booked the compact single room. This time, for two days, I tried the double-bed room with a table and a large window, and it is really excellent for the price. The room is extremely clean and has all the basic amenities such as a shower, dental kit, and towels. One small difference is that instead of traditional cloth towels, they provide disposable paper-fiber towels. The room is also much more spacious than the single room, even though the price increase is very small. I paid about 55 RMB for the smaller room, while this room cost around 63–64 RMB, but the size is almost double. The room has a very large window facing the road in front of the hotel. I expected it to be noisy, but surprisingly it was not. There are many power outlets and switchboards, which makes it convenient for charging phones or laptops. The room also has a large TV, along with a table and chair where you can comfortably sit and work. The staff, as I mentioned earlier, are extremely friendly. By the end of my stay, they almost felt like friends. If you order food or buy items from e-commerce platforms like Jingdong or Taobao, the staff will collect the packages and store them safely on the first floor. Sometimes the delivery person will even bring the order directly to your room. I stayed on the fourth floor, and the room was very well maintained and spotless. It also includes a hairdryer and hangers. The room I booked had two beds, so if you are traveling with a colleague for business, this is a great option. The location is not extremely central, but it is still convenient. The nearest subway station is about a 10–15 minute walk, which was not a problem for me. There are also several convenience stores nearby where you can quickly buy snacks or basic items. Overall, the room is very well maintained, extremely clean, and free of dust.
