After that, switching to a competitive game of pool kept the energy high. These facilities really made our trip unforgettable. Thoughtful Touches That Made All the Difference Beyond the fun, it was the thoughtful details that truly impressed us: · Water Dispenser in the Kitchen: Incredibly convenient! No need to boil water or buy loads of bottles. Having instant hot and cold water on tap was a game-changer. · Luxurious Bathtub & Bath Salt: The biggest sweet touch was the owner providing bath salt for us! After a full day of activities, sinking into a fragrant, hot bath was the perfect way to unwind and felt like pure luxury. This small gift added such a personal, caring touch. Verdict: We Will 100% Be Back! This villa perfectly combines a luxurious private space, premium entertainment, and heartfelt service. From swimming to singing, gaming to soaking, everything was seamless—we never had to think about what to do next. I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to all my friends. Whether it's for a big group hangout, a family gathering, or a special celebration, this is the perfect choice. Thank you to the owner for creating such a wonderful space for making memories.

For the price, I think it is a reasonable option.  However objectively: 1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking.  The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the ”fix” was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about.  To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.  2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews.  However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.  3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the ”make my room” card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both.  They only cleaned 1.  I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.  4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.  5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.  6. The staff were helpful and friendly.  Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).  7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible.  It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.  All in all, it was a decent stay.  Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained. 

Had a wonderful stay at M Roof Hotel Ipoh! From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel’s location is convenient, with plenty of great food nearby and easy access to the city’s attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I’d definitely recommend M Roof Hotel to anyone visiting Ipoh. Looking forward to staying here again!

It was like stepping into haven! The modern colonial decor won me the most. The unit is spacious with rooms made neatly. The toilet and bathroom though quite small, they’re clean. The kitchen unit is complete with utensils, pans, microwave and induction hob for when you choose to prepare simple dishes for your family. Easy navigation to the parking lot. We stayed there for 2 nights and got the chance to hang out at the pool and the beautiful garden. We’ve been to many hotels in Ipoh but this by far was the best in our record. Kudos!

It's centrally placed and easy to navigate on foot or by Grab, making it a solid base for exploring the Old Town's murals, cafés, and street food scene. Easy access to public transport and nearby eateries, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and convenient parking Secure 24-hour car park nearby, plus proximity to the pedestrian street, KFC, etc. A short stroll to the Kinta River walk (popular with early-morning joggers), decent breakfast, and spacious rooms Staff are consistently described as helpful, and value for money is a recurring theme It's best described as a reliable ”safe choice” — good on location, cleanliness, and price, but the interior is dated with no boutique or modern feel, amenities are basic, and sound insulation is only average (some guests report hearing motorbikes from the street below) - A minority of reviews flagged isolated cleanliness lapses, such as a clogged sink causing odour — not systemic, but worth checking room reviews before booking - Not the pick for travellers chasing a design-forward or resort-style stay Travelers Tips💐 For backpackers, business travellers on short stays, or anyone prioritising proximity to Old Town's food and heritage sites, this hotel is hard to beat on location and price. If ambience, soundproofing, or a boutique aesthetic matter more to you, it's worth comparing against Old Town's design-led guesthouses (think Sekeping-style properties or mural-district boutique inns) instead. Either way, I'd recommend checking recent room-specific reviews before booking, and avoiding street-facing or lower-floor rooms if noise sensitivity is a concern.

Stayed there after a long and exhausting event. I chose it primarily as a place to shower, rest, sleep and write some reports, and it served that purpose well. Booking was a breeze, and the hotel is very easy to locate. They use a self-check-in kiosk which is quite straightforward, but the staff didn't hesitate to step in and assist when needed. I stayed in a no window room. Because there’s no window, there was a slightly damp smell when I first walked in. Luckily, I brought my own room spray, so it wasn't an issue for me, but it's something to keep in mind. The air conditioning isn't incredibly strong. If you prefer a freezing room, you might struggle, but as someone who isn't a huge fan of intense AC, it was perfectly acceptable to me. Also, the floors are mosaic tiles (no carpet), so I highly recommend bringing your own indoor slippers. On the bright side, the water pressure and hot water in the shower were excellent. There were also more than enough electrical sockets for two people to charge their devices. I didn't use the Wi-Fi, so I can't comment on that. There are water dispenser and iron with board at the corridor on my floor (3rd floor) While the hotel is surrounded by plenty of local restaurants, I opted to order GrabFood because I was too tired. It was super easy, I just asked the rider to leave the food at the lobby. Service: The staff on both the day and night shifts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They genuinely made the place feel welcoming, almost like home. Important Tip on Deposit: Make sure to bring RM50 cash for the security deposit. You can use a card, but the reception mentioned it takes a few days for the bank to release the refund, so cash is much more convenient. Overall, it’s a simple, no-frills hotel. If you just need a budget-friendly place to crash after a tiring day, it does the job. Thank you to the kind staff for looking after me!

Upon arrival the 2 contact details provided don't respond and it's really annoying and disappointing. 1 contact go into voicemail box and another will never pick up the call which somehow give you the impression of the host is not reliable(Attached conversation without reply) The property manager or agent that host these property really need to be more professional. The unit is full of new paintings and the smell cause lots of discomfort(Attached the toilet door with new paint) The bidet or sprinkler is broken and the water is scattered around and cause our clothes and toilet paper all wet!!!(Attached photo broken bidet) They don't install ventilation fan on the toilet and when you open the window for air circulation your neighbors could see you.Their intentions is very clear which is they don't bother the comfort of the guest(Attached photo of when open up the toilet window for ventilation the upper floor could see through hence no privacy while shower.You shower with window close and its felt suffocating after a while!!!) As Ipoh is famous for eateries to our surprise when we packed our supper home the utensils is really disappointing.The host barely provides you any plates and utensils.Maybe just 4 cups 4 plates as if anything extra will cause them a million dollars investment.You can't find extra waste plastic bags or toilet paper.They simply being too calculative and don't provide any extra even you are using it to keep their unit clean at least if you provide me with extra waste plastic bags we could pack our waste and keep it clean and hygiene instead. Each room only 2 towels for shower and no pools towel provided.Very inconsiderate!!! The worst part is they will sent you a check out instructions 6am in the morning to wake you up!!! If you having a peak booking on our check out date you may sent a reminder for checkout but please not at 6am in the morning !!! I think Trip.Com should check on your agent quality and set a minimum standards.The property host is really disappointed we don't have time to waste so we just put up with it and write a review after check out.

Worth the price you pay! Great location, just beside the highway. Everything is clean, aircond was functioning well, the room is nice. It’s just that the small fridge is not functioning and the water pressure is kinda slow. But I don’t really mind. The front desk was also nice. I will reconsider staying at this hotel again for a short staycation.

Strategy place, industrial style interiors, quite unique, basic equipment are complete However, I doubt the water quality is not that good, the bathroom and toilet should be not covered by half transparency curtain

The location is convenient, it is easy to find food, the room is also very clean, but the bathroom has a strange smell from time to time, so the bathroom door is closed for a long time.
